Doubted very much before purchase whether I am going to receive a genuine one or not. As I soon as I received the package today, I have seen that the hard disk was properly packed causing without damage even in transit. Happy to see that I receives latest manufactured product in sealed condition. Installed windows 10 OS immediately. No sound or disturbance. Have to look for long run,as this is the first time I am WD product.

I bought this HDD for my Server that syncs almost 10 Blockchains in real-time 24×7. I wanted to make sure that it doesn’t lag while saving the data. It was easy to install and those 7200 RPM have made my life a lot easier while working on the server. Obviously it cannot beat the performance of an SSD drive, but this is exactly what I needed.It was delivered in perfect packing with the original plastic shiled on it. No issue whatsoever.

I received the product with a card with mail id and WhatsApp no. of the seller.The card mentioned that contact the seller and send him serial number for warranty. So I tried to contact him but they don’t respond.Product is great tho.

Perfect Product
I installed this HDD easily in my Dell Vostro 260s Slim Tower as the preinstalled 500 GB Seagate HDD failed after 6 years of use. This WD 1 TB hard drive gives 931 GB space & is working nicely & the price is lowest on internet.

it is better than segate and other options available in the same category it is a high performance hard disk with higher rpm provides noise less operation i have been using this for 6 yrs still it is running good without any failure

Retailer does not follow the basics of packaging
WD manufacture good hard disk but retailer does not know the basics of packaging he simply send the product in poly bag and product damaged during the transportation.

Good performance and durability
WD Blue are very trusted drives. These will go easily up to 10years without hitch. Reading and writing speeds are very good. Though it’s always recommended to load your OS on an SSD, Win10 runs happily on this drive. No need to think further if there’s no budget for an SSD.

Reliable HDD brand… my old 320GB WD Drive is 8 yrs old and still working fine.
Well, i have used 2 Western Digital HDD before. A 500GB and 320GB model.The 8 year old 320GB model was too small for me these days so i upgraded to 1TB version (the product shown here). Moreover it had problems like chkdsk showed error (despite it working very fine). Maybe because of 8 yrs of torture.. haha i dont use a UPS so u can imagine the torture this HDD went through, lol.The 5 yr old 500GB model is on my home computer, its working perfect.Without a doubt or worry, or even caring to look at the ratings and reviews i bought this 1TB HDDMost reliable HDD, Western DigitalAlthough even Seagate is good and immensely popular in USA, in India, Western Digital has best service and is most common. Every HDD in govt. offices use Western Digital. I remember my high school computer lab used only Western Digital 🙂 And that was around 10 yrs ago.DOnt worry about 1 yr warranty or 3 yr warranty or 5 yr warranty. These things will last you 10+ years.

Great storage space for tight budget builds.
Not fast like an SSD but not a slouch either. Gives 100MBps read and 40MBps writing speed on average. Good for everyday work and medium intensity video games and videos.

If your looking for a fast dead storage hard disk , this is it ! Almost 3/4 less than their fastest offering ( wd black) and read write speed difference betwn the two not noticeable for daily storage ops ,it’s the better choice , don’t make it your os drive though (ssd,s are cheaper thesee days and wayyy faster than any mechanical drive )Good buy

this is really a awesome product even more than awesome my pc performance increase a lot (i have a lower end Pentium desktop) but after inserting this windows 10 boot up just in 20 second or less than this now my pc work awesomely if you are searching for a hard drive for you pc just close your eyes and order it. this is more than awesome hard drive

Best of all decent HDDs
A very decent HDD with good storage option and speed. Delivery was fast and good. One should go for this if looking for a HDD. You should register the HDD after you bought it at their website to claim the warranty. If you have extra bit of money or dont want too much storage, always go for SSD.

I bought it to replace 320 GB western digital 7200 rpm caviar blue HDD of my 2010 model Dell Vostro 230 slim tower. My desktop has digitally activated copy of Windows 10. So I installed Windows 10 pro version 1803, 64 bit. On start up, the HDD made different types of sound, heavy vibrations, all unusual types of things happened. So I referred Western Digital website for troubleshooting. It was a brand new hard disk so I thought the problem somewhere else. It advised me to disconnect the data cable and switch on the computer but, I formatted the computer and reloaded it with Windows XP and made a dual boot with Linux mint 18.3.Since then it is running very silently and satisfactorily. The hard disk is imported from Thailand and slightly inferior to the original hard disk fitted with the computer but I am satisfied with the product and will recommend to anyone who is willing to run Linux or has a higher output SMPS. Mine is 250 watt.

Pakage safey should have been improved
The product was good but the delivery and pakage safety was not good. In a big box ,there was just the hardisk alone no bubble wrap or any other thing for preventing any damage.
