There’s no much to say since it’s a simple product, but it works perfectly, and I’m happily surprised by how light and small it is. Good if you are looking to increase the amount of USB ports for a laptop.

This is a perfectly usable product for most consumers and it seems like with the proper care could last a long time. Perfect for chucking in a box of miscellaneous devices until you need it, perfect for use while traveling, and perfect for everyday use. Please do note that you get what you pay for and this product is perfect for everything except for USB drives, often confusing them for one another, which could potentially lead to data loss. This is an unfortunate engineering oversight that leads to me taking away one star.Although the cheap feeling and looking plastic casing wire housing seemed fairly weak, it’s not like this thing is meant for industrial use. if you’re worried about the shoddy plastic, if you have some electrical tape (or even painters/duct tape), you can secure the wire on both ends and you should have no worries about the wire housing ever being damaged through natural wear and tear.This product is best suited for plug and play peripheral devices. Mice, Keyboards, Microphones, Drawing Tablets, etc… but if you’re looking for something with charging capability or something that can RELIABLY handle data transfer between multiple USB storage devices, look somewhere else.Great price for a decent product.

I have a USB outlet converter plugged into the electrical outlet made into the lamp base. The converter only allowed one core to be plugged into it, and every time I switched the cord, I ended up pulling out the converter from the outlet. I bought this “hub” so I could charge my Kindle and my iPad or iphone at the same time on my nightstand and not have to keep switching which cord was plugged in. Shortly after connecting it, I noticed that the converter was EXTREMELY hot with only my iPad charging. I unplugged/removed this hub immediately. I KNOW prodot says it does not support charging, but after reading all the questions regarding this, I saw that other people said they were using it in this manner without any problems. Additionally, I took prodot’s answer/clarification (to question: “what does not support charging actually mean?”) to say it would work for my purpose. Mea culpa.If I had the converter plugged into a wall outlet instead of my lamp base, I know it is highly unlikely I would have noticed that it was getting so hot because it would have been behind the nightstand. That is why I am cautioning about being mindful of where you plug this thing in. My husband traded with me, giving me the splitter/hub he had and he took this one. He has it plugged into a USB on his laptop and uses it to power his external camera and light ring for ZOOM conferences. He hasn’t had any issues with it at all using it in this manner, and the one he gave me is working great. It isn’t as attractive as this one, but I’m not willing to risk burning the house down for the aesthetic. 🙂

I purchased this USB hub for my nephew as one of the USB ports on his PC stopped working and he need a few more ports for his accessories. He loves it and it saved him a costly trip to the PC repair shop to fix up his broken port. It runs accessories like his wireless keyboard, mouse and USB fan perfectly. Also, he’s used it to transfer large files from one external hard drive to another very quickly. We can’t fault this prodot USB hub, despite extended and demanding use. I would certainly not hesitate to purchase this product again or another prodot product based on my experience with this USB hub.

Everything is fine 👌👌 except the price. This device is working seamlessly and supported my Phillips Android TV’s USB 3.0 port providing extra USB 3.0 ports to connect my external storage devices. This device is compatible with Android too.. it is a great thing for me.

My main complaint about this device is that I feel like it would break into pieces if someone sat on it. It’s made out of very light and presumably flimsy plastic. I haven’t benchmarked it, but I assume it can handle USB 3.0 speeds since it’s prodot-branded, and their products usually at least meet their specs. I hope that the actual ports are durable brand-name ports, since this is the kind of device that you may plug and unplug from many times.It’d be nice if it could handle higher currents, even though the USB 3.0 standard only calls for 900mA for non-charging ports. Overall, besides the flimsy feel, I have no significant complaints, and the price is okay when taking into consideration that prodot is a real brand.

I really like this usb hub, and I’ve purchased several, however after a few months, it starts to have problems with voice over usb headsets. Great if you need a small form factor hub for most tasks, but I wouldn’t use it for anything where throughput integrity is critical

For the price it’s a great way to extend the number of USB-A ports on any device – I have it mounted in my desk tray for quick access. However, speeds are nothing impressive, so not recommended if using SSDs.
