Good Product but requires power supply
By mistake ordered it thinking it was usb powered. This requires external power with the supplied plug & cable, due to which it is less portable than USB powered HDDs. Other than that it fits the job well.

A good product in this price range.
As it is USB 3.0 it is pretty fast (compared to my previous one). This was the best product I found in this price range. I’ve been using it for almost a year now, so I can say that the product is durable.

A MUST Have for ALL.TIP: Buy from ‘Appario Retail Private Ltd’ they ask for a reasonable price.4 TB (‘terabyte in decimal’ NOT ‘tebibyte in Binary’) in Decimal Bit-unit so about 3,720 GB(‘gibibyte in Binary’ NOT ‘gigabyte in decimal’) in Binary Bits.Difference:1 TB(terabyte) = 1000 GB(gigabyte) {in decimal}1 TB(tebibyte) = 1024 GB(gibibyte) {in Binary}Therefore,1 TB(terabyte in decimal) = 931 GB(gibibyte in Binary) approx.That’s why when we buy microSD Card it shows less in mobile device than what was branded for.Manufacturers use/brand in ‘decimal’ where as we all know digital computers are ‘binary’ at their core.[This may me confusing cause mostly we say “tebibyte as terabyte” & “gibibyte as gigabyte”]{Linked Website for better understanding- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte}

Didn’t care to leave a review until my cat dropped this one and nothing has happened to it. Good product. I am not bothered about the speed because, almost all drives come at around the same speed and we can’t expect GBps transfer rates for hard drives yet. So, overall a good product you can buy.I feel, there is even a better option, cloud storage. If you are tech savvy, I think cloud storage works cheaper. Instead of spending all the money at once, you can pay for the storage and transfers you make. Works out much cheaper I think and there won’t be any hassle of carrying this drive around when you move.

Excellent product. Very light in weight, and sleek, almost the size of the smartphone. The speed and ease of transfer is outstanding.Light comes on after sometime, as well as the faint sound when it is in operation.It took a lot of time, and nerve cells to figure out the connection. It does not get identified immediately once it is connected to MacBook. I had to register the product on the website first. Only after that I was able to see it as EXPANSION in the LOCATIONS. The “guide” from the Seagate’s website was not helpful as it did not mention that registration was a priority. Also it could be mentioned in the “Quick start guide” that it may take up to 5-10 mins to connect the first time

One of the Fastest External Hard Drive!! – 18TB – 7200RPM @ 250MB/s
I bought the Desktop 18TB variant to migrate my media library from several external hard drive that I had bought over the years as the media filled up the drives one by one. I researched and decided to buy the desktop variant rather than the regular version because, the desktop variant has either a Seagate Exos or Seagate IronWolf Pro internally and these two drives one of the fastest (250MB/s) and most reliable enterprise drives that Seagate sells and these drives are having conventional magnetic recording (CMR) technology which offers the best write/read speeds. Not all desktop variants have these drives and only from 12TB+ onwards offer these drives.Pros — One of the highest consistent sustained sequential write speed of 250MB/s (only 12TB+ variants)- Reliability is very good since internally it has a enterprise drives in it- Read speeds can reach 270MB/s for sequential dataCons — Not as small as the 2.5 inch external hard drives, but I don’t mind this as a con for me as it’s just a bit bigger

Speed is ok, but it depends on the hardware we use.
Light weight, plug and play with windows, no problems shown in this startup period. The claimed transfer speed in reading and writing is 120 Mbps. The actual speed of file transfer varis between 1 to 102 Mbps as per my experience when used with Windows11 on hp pavillion, i7, intel, 12 th gen, 1Tb solid state drive, via usb3.0. Expected more speed of transfer. Also, I am not knowing why it is said that Li ion battery is used in this external hdd!!
