Bought 400R Plus. It is rated 310W only. This is not mentioned anywhere on the packaging. Only on the actual SMPS body. Arrived in good condition. Plugged into my PC and it is working.Update: still working well in February 2021.

Better than local Cabinet’s PSU but not for Today’s PC
For a price tag It’s not really bad. You can go for this only If you’re purchasing a cabinet without PSU so you can go for this. But make sure You’re not a gamer because It’s not for gaming. But I You can play some old games from 2008-2013 by putting a Low end graphic graphic card and a Core 2 Duo Processor. Just don’t go bove or You’ll put your system components at risk. To play current titles, go for Corsair 450 +

Bought this Xcess SMPS as my old VIP one was dying. Received it in excellent condition. Using it in my old basic PC. It has good build quality but the cable quality is just average. The noise level is very much audible but not very loud. The total output of this SMPS is 310W, so this makes it suitable for only basic computer with low-end graphics card. It doesn’t have power connector for graphics card so for gaming you need at least 500W+ SMPS. For me I found this a very good Value for money. I have had no problems running my computer for 10-12 hours daily. I’m very satisfied with it.

Awesome performance for the Price! I bet you won’t get such a loaded high end PSU anywhere! GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080 all works like a pro on this PSU. It powers AMD’s like a king, then imagine intel is a piece of cake for it.

After lots of research I ended up buying this SMPS. Even though it’s sold as a 400W PSU, it’s clearly stated that it’s max power output is 310W. This is an important spec to look for before selecting a power supply.Most other SMPS like Zebronics states only their peak power like 450W and don’t even mention their actual continuous output power.The length of the cables are just adequate for a full ATX cabinet. So all the cables are stretched out to their maximum length leaving no saggy wires.But I found some differences in design than that’s mentioned in the images.Instead of honeycomb grill vents mine has got bar grills. Also some reviews says theirs has got sleeved 20+4 pin cables. But the one I got is not sleeved. Anyway it works well till this moment. So far so good.

Basic power supply for office builds
Basic power supply with thin wires not for high performance machines.Sould not be used for anything beyond ryzen 3 or intel i3 use higher rated or better power supply.Cannot use a graphics card which require external pci power .Price is very good for what you are getting but should be clear on what you can do with this.

This product is as described. It has a big fan for cooling but silent. My hard disk got crashed due to cheap smps last time so I brought new hard disk and this smps. Reliability only time will tell. So far soo good.

I have buy this 400W PSU for my PC build required around 200w. This PSU Exactly match at the bottom of the cabin. Power cord included! Then the built quality is excellent. larger fan blade no noise while rotating. Working fine No issues found.

Common. You lost a star only because you used stupid yellow black combination for wires. Just use all black and make it look descent. It looks so stupid in my gaming rig. I get frustrated every time I see it. The installation is easy and quality is robust.

Build quality is good when compared to local brand SMPS like Zebronics, Intex etc. Overall 240 Watts of power on +12 V rail. Good Enough for a barebone PC. Also the Super Silent Version and the 400R Plus are both the same.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED!
I thought it was gonna be a cheap psu and i was worried installing a graphics card on my system but it turned out it can run it without any problem its a GTX 1050 ti so you can run a graphics card which doesn’t require any external power without any problem as it doesn’t come with a six or a 8 pin connector i have installed 3 storage devices , 2 rams , a 75 watt gpu , a 77 watt cpu , 3 fans and it handles it without any weird nose or over heating .

Cheap and best solution when you have to connect more than 10 Hard Disks with High capacity such as 4TB Hard Drive each. This SMPS can manage that heavy load.

The product received was slightly damaged in the exterior, but wanted to check its functioning first; as it performed nicely decided to keep it.Pros:Works nicely as advertised.No major heating up issues (Not used for gaming but image editing in LR PS and watching streaming movies)Cons:Screws not provided.Size bigger than Frontech SMPS. Had to unmount my etire desktop attachments like hard disk, ssd, and DVDROM. Removed the DVD ROM and fixed it from outside, removing the front pannel, to fit the bigger SMPS.The connector were very cheap looking. I was worried if it would break.

Reviewing it after 2 weeks of use and its working fine. it had a small dent on the metal casing maybe due to transportation and handling. Does not affect the performance. Works fine with my setup which is low spec with onboard graphics. I replaced my 650 watts Xcess VIP SMPS which lasted for about 8 years with this model.

The only missing thing is a power switch at the PSU unit. the power supply is still running. Since it’s made in china so choose wisely. I choosed it because of budget restrictions but will not recommend if you have budget.

I got the product on time. It was damaged from outside but when I opened it, it was completely all okay from inside. I got 6-pin for my Gigabyte 1050ti graphics card. I hope it goes well as far as I want it. Let’s see. And everything was good. No scratches or damages.Edit: it’s been 1 year and still running solid.

This SMPS is basically for Budget or Mid Range PCs Where Power Requirement is Under 250-300 Watts. So as per my recommendation Calculate your PC wattage before buying any SMPS. Basic power supply for office builds
Basic power supply with thin wires not for high performance machines.Sould not be used for anything beyond ryzen 3 or intel i3 use higher rated or better power supply.Cannot use a graphics card which require external pci power .Price is very good for what you are getting but should be clear on what you can do with this.

Nice built & packing and looks. Available with power cord. Earlier Xcess gave mesh covering for wire, now there is no mesh protection for wires. Overall good SMPS with 3 yrs warranty and walkin service centre support.I m using this brand for over 10 years and I changed it only twice in past 10 years. There are many users they didnt know that SMPS can be repaired at service centres only for Rs 250 – 350 with 1 month warranty.I suggest this SMPS for basic computing like home, online classes or daily 5-6 hour work with good ventilation.

Power supply is working pretty good no issue with it after 45 days of usages.Pro: 1) working silent 2) Providing enough power for Core i5 Quad Core, 16gb RAM, One Hard Drive, One SSD, One Graphic Card, One Optical Drive any many more…Cons: 1) No button on Power supply to TURN OFF or ON as seen in product Image. 2) Have issue with it when resuming PC from Sleep mode some time it’s not working and i have to restart it from main switch board. 3) NO SCREW provided with it either you have to use old one or purchase new one from market that is difficult and time consuming process.

I bought this on 2020, after three years use. I really felt this product quality. Power fluctuations handled easily. My configuration is it 9400 and rx 570 graphics card. It handles easily. I bought 600 watts unit.1. Good quality.2. Value for money.3. Power consumption is adequate.4. Power failure protection.5.pins and cables are very comfortable.6. Cooling fan done job perfectly.If give some trendy design it will be more better.

Value for money, good customer support.
I accidentally burned my mother board and PSU, Xcess gives good customer support and repair PSU in front of me, but motherboard is not lucky as PSU so i upgrade it. PSU have a long cables, more connectors, there are 4 sata and 2 ATA connectors so I have connected 2 SSD and 2 HDD without any extension. Overall performance is very good, value for money. Go for it

Excellent for basic computers!
Bought this Xcess SMPS as my old VIP one was dying. Received it in excellent condition. Using it in my old basic PC. It has good build quality but the cable quality is just average. The noise level is very much audible but not very loud. The total output of this SMPS is 310W, so this makes it suitable for only basic computer with low-end graphics card. It doesn’t have power connector for graphics card so for gaming you need at least 500W+ SMPS. For me I found this a very good Value for money. I have had no problems running my computer for 10-12 hours daily. I’m very satisfied with it.
