Good product, timely delivery. But the signal 📶 strength isn’t that good. Compared to my last 2 antenna router, kinda disappointed with this 4 antenna 📡 box.

This router is perfect for you if you have a large house and have trouble getting good range This router also has two bands one 2.4gz and 5gzMy plan for internet was for 100mbps and i get 80-90mbps with the 2gz band but when I tried it with the 5gz band I got 290-300mbps which is THE BEST THING ABOUT IT but the 5gz band has a little less range than 2gz band*TIP – TURN OF SMART CONNECT FOR THE ROUTER IN THE TETHER APP OR ON THE WEBPros-:1) It has dual band connection2) It has great range3) WIFI speeds do not drop even if you go farther away from the router4) Easy to set up from appCons-:1) Does not have alexa and google home support2) It is not WIFI 63) It only once doesn’t show you the 5gz band for which you have to log in the router from your laptop and fix it ( You can find the solution for it on YouTube

Great wifi signal, range and consistency. It does not disconnect and works consistently. This is superb router if you need good wifi speed all over home and don’t care for fancy unnecessary features which you will hardly or never use. Only one thing I noticed is it has a smartswitch which toggles between 2.4 and 5 ghz if you enable. However, I think there is small period (few seconds) of disconnection when that happens. Sometimes range goes down very low (one bar on phone) in far rooms but that is probably because it has not made the switch yet. Other than this, I didn’t notice any issues.

Tplink provides best service in wifi routers, this router works well in both wifi bands , I am writing this review after using it one month and it’s working , my internet usage is high but still I did no restart the router since then it’s working as excepted .
Frenzy Arghost –
I bought this router because it says it supports wifi speed up to 867 mbps /5 GHz and 450 mbps/2.5 GHz but sadly its port are limited to 100 mbps and hence it does not function as it says. But yes it definitely has great signal strength and its a very good router for users who has connection less than 100 mbps.
Bad product –
Good performance.I am getting good wifi coverage and stable speed.
Ashwin –
The wifi speed is great you 850mbps speed but you will not get speeds above hundred from your ISP as the wan port supports maximum of 100 mbps
Salahuddin –
I bought this one as my earlier router was old and speed was less. So I installed this, it has two bandwidth 2.4 GhZ and 5GhZ.My router is in hall and I work in other room and distance is 10-12 feet. The speed was less. So I had to go and sit infront of router to get it’s speed.I have 100 Mbps plan and still get 70 mbps max Speed.

After using the router for over a year, I’m thoroughly impressed with the value proposition of this gadget. At the time of purchase, we bought this blindly, as recommended by our internet technician, but after long term use, I can confidently say that this is STILL a very good value, for just under Rs. 1500.PROS:-It uses “ac” wifi which is a much better standard than the N standard that is popular than this price range, and let me tell you this does make a difference.-The dual band mode is truly a blessing, providing faster and most stable connections, and letting you unlock the potential of the router.CONS:There aren’t really as many, but if we’re nitpicking, we can say that:-The build quality and aesthetics aren’t the best.-Further, in my experience, the 2.4GHz pales in comparison to the 5GHz on supported devices (most devices bought after 2015) but that can be attributed to the interference.-The range isn’t the best, but again, that can be attributed to interference.Overall, I whole-heartedly recommend this router for the extremely competitive price.-

The router does its job well, but not better than Archer C20, I own both of these routers, but I didn’t notice any range difference between the two, if there is any it’s very negligible.

Dual band router not run as dual brand wifi router need some improvement sometime wifi main turn to red this is my negative viewsPositive is single for one bhk good enough for this price range routerInstallation simple

Very good product, it allows to have both 5g and 2.4 under one name so easy to switch for the devices , only draw back is it does not have IST time zone to set time, when we do the time manually it gets reset to something else after reboot hence i am giving 4star, Please include IST timezone into the next firmware update , after moving to this router the voice quality over zoom and teams, whatsapp got improved, while streaming 4k movies on tv , kids can continue with their meeting over zoom and teams. no buffering at all.

The claim of 1.2 Gbps is for data rate of the device and not the user bandwidth. There is a complete difference between Data Rate and Bandwidth but I’m limiting my review to generic. This device can only support 100Mbps of bandwidths so if your requirement is of more 100 Mbps or your Internet connection is more than 100Mbps then simply don’t go for this device straight away without any doubt as it has only 100 Mbps of WAN and LAN port. The coverage of this router is also very normal i.e. 15 meters for acceptable latency, for more than this length the latency will increase proportionately. The configuration of this router is pretty simple so 5 points for configuration ease of doing.Overall it’s a very simple and generic device in this price range, other routers are available in market with same capabilities with lower price.

Product is good. Only problem I see is, wifi signal do not cover proper 2bhk area. Sometimes signal drops in rooms and in balcony of rooms, I get very poor signal strength and sometime wifi doesn’t catch.

I have purchased it in the year 2020 & since then till now 2022 I have been facing issues with this router on a regular basis. It doesn’t even support 100mbps speed(Youbroad band network) initially hence I have switched to 150mbps plan to test it’s speed but with that it doesn’t even provide me 100mbps properly. Even I go from one room to the next though it’s very close by but still the speed reduces & it comes down by 80mbps.. Upon checking with technicians they said that there is problem with router but not the internet. Would not recommend this to anyone.

Bought this for 1700.Already had a tp-link wifi 6 router, but this one didn’t give enough range, thought of buying a tp link wifi extender and they were like 5000 each.the wifi 6 router was 6000, so bought this and made sure it has a repeater mode.upgraded the software and set it up with wireless repeater mode.Really solid signal and router switching between these two routers and getting signal throughout my building.Really great buy for a wifi repeater and cheap too.as per the general wifi router, this lacks a few options that my main router has. but will be best for most household uses.Try to go for the latest model if you are considering this model.

I used to use 2 modems to connect the entire house with wifi but after installing this modem, I dont need a 2nd modem as this covers the entire house. It’s a 60:40 site and it covers from back door till the gate and the first floor as well. Ensure that the modem is kept at the highest point in the house and in the center. I placed it in the center of the house on the 1st floor just near the stairs that connect the ground and first floor. Just awesome. Go for it.

Been about a week since the archer C80 was installed. So far, has been any problems. Replaced my 6 year old router as it started intermittent micro-drops on connectivity. I do not see that with the archer C80 so far. Setup was a breeze. The one issue I came across was that the 2.4GHz band was available but could not connect (authentication error). Soon the 2.4GHz network wasn’t available on any of my devices. I enabled the 2.4GHz guest network and both 2.4GHz networks were available (so was the main 5GHz one).Don’t know if enabling the guest network addressed this issue or was an intermittent one – and not brave enough to try different combinations since it is working for the past week.Other than this one issue, the feedback from using for the week is that it is good. Will know more as time passes.

+ve’s1)Improves good Wi Fi converge range between multiple cement wall.2)Can connect more that 10 Wi Fi client concurrently.3)Boots up quickly4)Looks cool-Ve’s1) Web interface is very basic, not much info available for the nerds.2)You cannot see the network traffic data across multiple connected device (like you do in D-Link routers)3)There is no uptime status any where in the UI which really sucks!

After researching for 10 days I bought TP Link Archer C20 as it has dual band mechanism & Easy to use Application(TP-Link Teather app). After buying it i would suggest you to buy single band router to same some money.1. SPEED :No need of Dual Band Router if you use a broadband Plan 100mbps or less because Upto 100mbps the speed & Ping is Same to same in 2.4 & 5 GHz signal. I use Alliance 590/- Plan that is 60mbps & i get 7 mb/s in general avg speed every time I download something from Youtube,Prime videos, Netflix etc. Though is shows 56mbps in Speed test by Ookla’s website.2. PUBG Ping :I get 30-40 ms in avg Asia server using Wifi. with my 60mbps alliance plan(rs. 590 per month) .Coming from Jio connection PUBG runs way tooo smooth now with the basic plan.3. Heating Issue : In the summer days it gets hot with default settings. But this heat is very acceptable as per the Room temperature.A quick tip : Temporarily disable the 5GHz signal to reduce the heat issue. as you get same speed & Ping in both the Signal upto 100mbps plan..If your ISP doesn’t give you PPPOe username & Password use static IP as it is best for Home based router. You can easily get the details from your Computer it self by just going to Network settings , search the process on YouTube. As some ISP charge 300 rs to install it But you can do it on your own. remember after successfully setting up the router it may not start the internet service. don’t be upset just call your Internet service provider (ISP) ask them to enable the Router connection from their office.Total cost i spend : 1000(cable installation) + 590(basic plan)+ 1599(router) + 300(router setup). i gave you tips to save (300+599) by getting a Single band router & Set up on your own.

This product is not compatible for more than >100mbps internet⚠️If you are looking for a gigabit router then always check for the “Interface” section of every router & this should be look like “LAN/WAN =10/100/1000” or “Interface = 10/100/1000” in which “1000” represents “Gigabit interface”, which is mandatory to handle faster internet of having speed >100mbps⚠️So, This router is completely waste of money & It will never give you the promised speed of 1350mbps!!So please take a wise decision!Thank you.

I have JioFiber connection and to increase wifi coverage I bought a Tenda Router (having same functions to this TPlink router) from a local shop to extend wifi coverage and it works perfectly in UniversalRepeater mode (so I have no wires running all over the place)…however I needed to extend my wifi coverage a bit more so I ordered and bought this TPlink router and using it in RangerExtender mode. (again, so I have no wires running all over the place)1. Both Tenda and this TPlink have a coverage (2.4GHz Band) of about 40 feet radius and also depends on walls and barriers etc. Please Note: 5GHz band signal covers only the room the routers are stationed.Edited: [2.4GHz band] Tenda router WiFi covers the 40 feet radius very well however this TPlink’s WiFi after using for about a week now; is hardly covering a radius of 30 feet. [5GHz band] Tenda router still has full room coverage including the attached bathroom however this TPlink has difficulty even covering the room.2. The Tenda user-interface/ software is intutive and very easy to setup…no problem at all..however, I found this TPlink user-interface/ software not so easy and a bit complex..as I was unable to;3. I could set a different wifi password on Tenda however in this TPlink the wifi password is same as my JioFi password (..or I could not find in settings)4. In Tenda I can set number of paired devices seperately from its router itself however in this TPlink paired devices is limited to my JioFi router settings…(..or I could not find in settings)5. I have connected both routers to Inverter…whenever there is a Power-Failure Tenda router works without interuption however this TPlink router looses network everytime as if it rebooted or something like that.. I would also like to mention that non of my other devices that are connected to Inverter restart (ie. Smart-TVs, Tata-Sky, Jio-SetUpBox, JioFi-Router, Tenda-Router, Desktop-PC)Edited: TPlink CustomerCare number is always Unavailable and LiveChat CustomerSupport is useless as reply is: “Sorry, there is no available agents now. You can give a shot to our virtual assistant who can answer most of the common questions”. I even sent @tp-link an email but it Failed.Moral of the story; DO NOT buy TPlink.

Purchased this router to extend the internet coverage at home. Easy installation worked like a charm for the first time over the Tether app. Had to reset due to some network issue and login functionality broke. Now I am unable to configure my old SSID or any SSID for that matter. Unable to even login to the router. In the tether app it keeps saying to connect to proper network even though I tried connecting to both 2.5Ghz and 5GHz connections and stood right in front of the router with my mobile. Now I have to reconnect all other devices that were connected to this router which is a pain. This kind of basic bugs should have been resolved before launching the product. Tried resetting multiple time but no effect. Bad experience.
Candies&Pickles –
The product is advertising speeds the router is capable of delivering but has slower WAN and LAN ports. So eventhough the router supports 433Mbps on the 5Ghz band, this is pretty useless since the WAN port on the router which connects the ISP cable to it (incoming connection wire from internet provider) is only capable of receiving 100Mbps max. speed. So even though I have a 300Mbps internet connection from my ISP, this router is only capable to provide 100Mbps speeds eventhough the Wifi speed advertised is 433Mbps. This 433Mbps can only be used to transfer data 2 devices connected over the same Wifi where no data is sent ovet the internet but is sent between devices over the internal home network. This is practically never used in normal home conditions and is false advertising since routers are primarily used at homes for accessing internet and the max speed you can get is 100Mbps and not the falsely advertised 300 or 433 or combined 733Mbps. So buyers beware – I’m buying another router now and making sure I check the WAN port speed capacity and not the advertised router wifi signal capacity which is practially useless.

Simple to use, superfast connectivity. I have a big house, 2 floors and I kept the router close to the center of the house. I get full connectivity all over the house, even outside.Speed – as it says. On 5ghz band it’s 433mbps, on 2.4 GHz band it’s 300mbps.Use tplink Tether app, you can manage the passwords and bands, both bands work simultaneously.

It’s really bang for buck. When you pay 2.5k for a router as it’s AC and dual band, while single N routers are widely available at 1k or less, you expect it to deliver. And trust me, it does. Previously I was using a TP Link WR841N (300mbps) and was getting more or less 45mbps over wifi on my 70mbps plan. This one is a pure beast on 5 GHz, giving me full 70mbps speed with no more than 5ms ping over wifi. Moreover, while using 2.4Ghz network also, it easily performs better than the previous one giving 50mbps on average. As expected, the 5Ghz is not that strong in long range and you have to depend on the bit slower 2.4Ghz one. When you connect your device(s) to both the 2.4 and 5, Your device would automatically switch between the two so normally you wouldn’t have to worry about using the best network available. The set up of the router was hassle free, it took me no more than 15 min to fully set it up. It takes just a bit more time to boot (1.5 – 2 min) compared to my previous one, but that shouldn’t be a deal-breaker since you won’t reboot your router every other hour. The web management page is a bit slower but the tp link tether app is just breeze. You can control almost all it’s features right from your smartphone. Although I have just started using it and shouldn’t comment on its longevity as of now, TP Link is a brand which doesn’t need any introduction. And yes, the delivery was pretty fast too. I got it through ATS within 48 hours of ordering (although I live in a rural area).

I used to own Intex 1 stick wifi with only 2.4 Ghz.The range was very bad . I own a phone which supports 5Ghz . As well as other devices in the house with the compatibility of 5Ghz. The speed obviously depends on the how much you pay to the internet provider , but this router makes sure you get the right speed to the Right Person .SETUP – Easy , as well as you can prioritize speed for a particular user , or even block a unknown user through the app.Range – Haven’t checked the range because of lockdown and we cannot go out of our house. But I stay in a 2BHK flat , there’s Enough range .Now I get range in my washroom also . Which Is Great ! :p

Archer C60 product description claims max speed of 867 MBps over 5ghz channel and 450 MBps over 2.4ghz channel however actual speed will be limited to 10/100 MBps because of LAN/WAN limit set. That means even if you have subscribed for plan providing more than 100 MBps but you will recieve only 85-90MBps because of LAN/WAN limit.

I had a D link 615 single band router and a dual band Tp Link RE200 Extender.i have a 200 Mbps connection and the range extender was giving me speeds of upto 70mpbs in the 5 GHz band and about 30mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The range extender is only about 10 feet away from me but the single band router which is about 50 feet away from me with a wall in between was giving me a speed of about 12 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.So things were fairly ok but I thought that by buying a dual band host router I could get even greater speeds and so bought the TP Link AC 750 router. But I was in for a surprise as the range extender struggled to get even half the speeds from the dual band router than it got from the single band router. I struggled with the settings for a few days and then returned it and went back to the original D link router and tp link re200 range extender. Now the re200 is giving me decent speeds. The lesson to be learnt from this is that it is far better to buy a range extender if you are far away from the router rather than upgrading the router to dual band. A dual band range extender will do a better job.

Who should buy?1. Person who looking for their first dual band router2. All your 5G compatible devices are in Same room or in next room. 5G signal will be weak in next floor.Who should not buy?1. if you don’t need 5G signal and only need 2.4g2. If you are looking for better coverage3. If you already have a 2.4G router with sufficient signalSummary,I already had a dual band router which is provided by ISP with Two antennas.I bought this because I thought this will have better 5G coverage, but the difference is very little. If you are facing any coverage issue, better change your router location than buying this one. I am not saying this is a bad one, am saying it won’t give you much a difference if you already have a decent dual band router

Was struggling with my internet connection for a few months. With speeds dropping to 1-2 mbps. I thought it was my ISP’s problem. My ISP guys told me it’s a router issue coz they have checked the line to be perfectly okay. After loads of research I shortlisted this. My house is fairly large. Two floors and spread out. I was a little skeptical on the coverage when I ordered this. Got it delivered on time. Fairly easy to install. Just scanning an QR code is fine. But I did the traditional method. Takes 5-10 mins to setup. That’s it. Once everything was set up. BOOOOOOM!!! Was getting 53+ mbps as near speed. 40+ mbps as far speed. Incredible performance and coverage. I am stunned. Writing this review after a months usage. And everything is brilliant. My recommendation 6*.

Easily the most popular router out there but if you mean business avoid buying it for a big house. Small 2bhk is fine, up to 700 sq feet it’ll give good speed but struggles beyond that. I’m going to list out some of the most common issues:1. Network crashes randomly for no reason, router is on, all lights on, but no network. This happens less often now and it’s not due to ISP, I’ve verified.2. 5G not always stable so be careful, at times I don’t get any network on 5G band. This happens a lot.3. Range is very weak, I live in a 2bhk and the network is limited to the living room, when I go to the kitchen network drops4. Three antenna misleading since I get same quality of network with other two antenna routers.Overall I’d say spend a little more if you can. I used this for six months but it gave me a lot of issues. Will buy a better one soon.

Nice range, sutable for 2 or 3 bhk around 800 to 1000 sqft,In budget dual band wifi good performance, looks wise also good, glossy finish is catch dust quickly,

I was surprised by the overall performance of this router. Companies advertise a lot, but rarely deliver when it comes to actual speed. There is a lot of things that determine router throughput and just having high numbers rarely translates into good connections, especially if you have multiple devices and/or multiple people connected. Real-world performance can be dramatically different from what is advertised. The MU-MIMO technology used in this router does help. I was skeptical at first but it does work. With the 5Ghz connection I tried streaming 1080p AAA games using steam link to my phone and it worked with 2 other wifi devices connected to the internet simultaneously (with downloads started on both). My previous router could barely manage a single connection and streaming was still pretty choppy. The 2.4Ghz connection is obviously not as smooth while streaming games, but with it I tried playing multiple HD videos on 3 separate devices simultaneously and there were no lags or waiting screens noticed on any one of them. All devices tested were at a length of 6-10m from the router across apartment walls, though I must add the signal strength was a low beyond 15m. The other problem with the router is, it doesn’t have removable antennas. That’s a shame, since a better antenna would have dramatically increased the router’s range. Setup and config is pretty standard Tp-Link web based config.

The product I received was already configured with someone other’s name and password. So I needed to reset and then I was able to use. But there is no defects in the product. It is working fine.

I specifically purchased it for using as an range extender most of tp link range extender were not cheap and the cheap ones had internal antena which was only 2dbi antena with this you get three 5dbi external antena( not sure could be 6dbi but not lower than 5) , one more tip although it doesn’t support one mesh natively but if you use the same name as your main wifi in the extended wifi settings you will be able to seamlessly roam around your house without worrying about switching your wifi again and again it will merge both 2.4g and 5g signals coming from your main router and extend those same signals instead of creating a new signal so the roaming is pretty seamless only issue i faced was that i wasn’t able to use access control in my main router which is a pretty important security feature idk what i did wrong but i added the mac of the new router it didn’t connect then i added mac of 5g network and also 2.4g network still no luck it connected only after i disabled access control in my main router.
Shishir Kumar Biswas –
This router is great but 5GHz signal is kinda weaker than the 2.4GHz one. The drawback for public Wi-Fi systems is that it has no bandwidth control mechanism and not many advanced features that network administrators require, though decent for home usage.

While I’ve would’ve rated this item at 5 but it did not meet my requirement entirely on parental control.I was using D link DIR-816 router. While it worked it had a bug of getting reset to default randomly. With firmware upgrade the frequency reduced it never solved the issue. This I router I specially bought for parental control. Let me tell you before hand it offers basic parental control. So let’s start review after using router for over a week. BTW I’ve connected my Dlink router over Ethernet cable to the Tplink router to extend wireless network.Pros1) Many advanced features within the web interface compared to Dlink router. Right from parental control to QOS to security.I suggest you visit the website, where the web interface can be emulated and all the settings can be seen virtually before you decide to buy.2)TP LINK Tether App for basic interface and setup of router.3) Guest network for both 2.4 GHz and 5 ghz which is not available in Dlink. You can enable and disable guest Network from app remotely.4) Bandwidth is completely customisable for host and guest as well as individual Ethernet ports and user levels.5) Stable network.6) Over the air firmware upgrade. Although there has been no new firmware since 2016.7) Web interface has inbuilt help. The manual also is very informative.Cons1) Range lower than D-Link router.2) Parental control does not allow individual user level URL block. Rules are applicable to all selected.3) Tether app does not has QOS control.

It’s good. Signal range is decent. Use 5g when you are nearer to WiFi and 2.4 when you are little bit far away from the router. I took the act 150 mbps plan then tested with 5g WiFi signal option I was getting only around 80 Mbps speed. Initially I thought it was fibernet problem. Then I downgraded my fibernet plan to 100 Mbps and tested with same 5g WiFi signal then I got same 80 Mbps speed in test results. Somehow it is giving only max 100 Mbps speed even it is mentioned in the product that it will give 400 Mbps speed. It was even poor on 2.4 WiFi signal. But it was ok for my office use and hd or 4k video streaming or big size downloads so no problems though it didn’t deliver what it is promised.
Faizanul Islam –
This is a fantastic device. Could be used as a wifi range extender or an access point. I extended range of my 2.4 GHz internet connection and I did not see any noticeable change of speed. Note that this does not extend 5 GHz wifi signal. Best is to extend your main router via an ethernet cable and use this device as an access point. I bought a CAT 6 10m cable from local market for 250 bucks and have set up an access point for my 5g connection. It works perfectly fine with hardly a drop of 5-10 Mbps in speed.Set up is very easy, anyone from zero to low technical knowledge can set it up. If you wish to enjoy 5g network throughout your house this is a must have device, you’ll surely love it.

My previous D-Link is 100mbps is very slow for my WiFi speed of 50mbps net. After changing the signal strength increased. As the installation is done by me only as guided by net provider over phone. Hence I didn’t use the Technical Support. Device is working good. Now I want to increase my net to 100 Mbps from this month & see the result. I think there would be no problem. Go for it as I got it for 2799.

Initially bought TP LINK AC 750 however it has some issue with its firmware or connection cause once you power off and switch on your WiFi router then it won’t automatically reconnect to you internet credentials until you manually save ISP credentials again on default router page or Tether application. Returned that piece and bought C80.Coming to installation, it’s quite easy if you have you have ISP credentials and MAC ID details for your connection.Connection is stable and WiFi coverage is moderate as well.Would give 9/10.

On 26.05.2020 I installed and following points I observed1. Installation: it is ver easy simple plug and play method2.it shows two bandwidth 5Ghz and 2.4GhzIn any device means tv , laptop , mobile etc,,,3.speed test on 2.4Ghz :Distance test 1: on 2.4Ghz 1cm (only 1cm distance not 1 feet even)from router location maximum speed 40mbps out of 100mbpsDistance test 2: on 2.4Ghz 30feet from router location maximum speed 30mbps out of 100mbpsNow points to be observed :On 2.4Ghz the maximum speed upto 30feet distance we get only from 40mbps to 30mbps out of 100mbps internet connection speed , beyond that much distance it is highly impossible to get even this much speed on 2.4Ghz. so now doubts are cleared.Speed test on 5Ghz :Distance test 1: 1cm (only 1cm distance not 1 feet even)from router location maximum speed 93mbps out of 100mbpsDistance test 2:30feet from router location maximum speed 93mbps out of 100mbpsNow points to be observed :On 5Ghz the maximum speed within 30feet range means from 1cm to 30 feet distance range we can get 93mbps Speed out of 100mbps without interuption, but beyond that 30 feet I observed the Speed is vigorously slowed down to 20mbpsthat menas on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz the maximum distance is only 30 feet beyond that distance 2.4 GHz is dead slow and 5Ghz is 20 to 25 based on fluctuations .Then you have a doubt here then why two bandwidth means some devices support only 2.4 GHz Speed that is the reason but we compromise the Speed on 2.4 GHz so first you check your device support 5 GHz band width or not .Now all douts are cleared

Does what it should do. Hasn’t shown any problems till now. Perhaps that’s the quality of TP-Link products! Only thing which I would put in as a note is that this can only provide speeds upto 100mbps( even in 5Ghz band). Keep that in mind. If you have a connection above 100mbps, this is an undersell for your connection.

I’m an Electronics Engineer myself & I’ve been using this product for over a year nowFeatures I love about this..- Can easily cover area of about 1500-2000 sq.ft.- You can keep single SSID for both networks (2.4 & 5GHz).- User Interface of TP link is very user friendly. With little efforts you can setup everything by yourself.- TP link regularly keeps sending firmware upgrades.- An app from TP Link (Tether) is super convenient for managing router from mobile. You need not do it from desktop alone.- MOST IMPORTANT – This device is capable of Mesh Network Technology of TP link. Meaning, you can add another adapter in the same WiFi network without having to spend on another router and you can extend coverage.- Finally, don’t bother much about WiFi speed. 100-200 MBPS is enough for online streaming and online gaming. Trust me, I’ve experimented with everything.- The network consistency matters. Which I get in this! Many people keep blaming Internet provider / Router for poor connection. Having a strong internet connection with 100-200 MBPS speed and this router will work wonders for your HOME or even OFFICE!

Like any other customer, I brought this after reading multiple reviews and majority of the one star or two star rating was given for poor range. If the router antennae is configured properly, then we can get proper range to a 3bhk house (in 2.4 Ghz only). I have 3 BHK where one room is in first floor and I am able to manage from all rooms. On the first day after installation, the range was available only in 2 rooms and it was extended by doing some adjustment. The disadvantages of 5 Ghz is already explained by many customers.Pros:UI is simple with explanation on the right side.Dual band with guest network.Cons:Wall hanging hooks are not available. No USB portsPlease remember guys…. Wifi signals are prone to many interruptions and radiations from different forms of waves generated from electronic devices. If you place the antennas at the right position on the right place with right angles and without any major electronic devices nearby, then am sure that many of you will not face range issues. There is no standard setting for the above word” right” , as it depends from house to house. Please read from google on the tips to have better wifi range. If you keep this router at ground level and near to a smart tv which is already having waves from tv as well as dish, then it is obvious that the range in other rooms will be affected..Another example – Router will be kept on a table wherein mobiles are also kept for charging etc.. So when there is a mobile phone nearby, it is obvious that the router will emit weak signals and other rooms may have impact. How to find the “right place”. First thing is that there should not be any electronic surfaces nearby and antennas should not be pointed towards some surface which can absorb signals. Router should be placed at the center part of your house. Please keep adjusting the antennas at different positions (one at 45 degree, one at 90 degree and another at 30 % with different inclination etc.). Keep trying at different positions and check the signal strength at different rooms. Because, wifi influencing devices keep differing from home to home.

One of the best WiFi 5 routers out there. Easy to setup, strong signal strength, simple app for management. We have a 150Mbps connection and get full bandwidth over 5GHz band. Over 2.4 GHz, it manages around 100-120 Mbps. There’s a lot of noise on the 2.4Ghz channel in our area due to conflicting signals from neighborhood, so this minor drop is acceptable. The lights on the device are small and almost hidden from view. This is a great design feature as it’s annoying to have small LEDs blinking all over our homes with the penetration of electronic devices. The packaging was quite sturdy and safe. The device has a lot of gaps and minor design elements where dust can possibly accumulate and be difficult to clean over time.Overall highly recommend. Should last us a few years.

Being Truthful –
Have been using it since last 4 days. So will be sharing early feel.1. Very easy Installation. It’s like a breeze to set up with Tether App ( particularly for persons who will be doing first time).2. Supports mesh network support ( in my case a firmware update was needed for this to be recognised as a mesh device by RE 300-AC1200)3. Set up supports to configure and intelligently select just one SSID (2.4 G or 5G) based on network speed. This provides a very seamless experience with out disruption and you do not have to keep on selecting the SSIDs manually from your device.4. In a 1650 Sq feet 3 BHK, I mostly get 250-280 MBPS ( ISP is Act Fiber with plan of 300 MBPS) in most of the rooms with strong signal except one room ( which is farthest).5. Much better than my earlier TP Link Archer C5.
Md Irfan Mullick –
For a big family, it’s the best choice as the devices can be divided into two channels. I personally prefer to connect TV and laptop to 5G and mobiles to 2.4G. 5G gives me the full speed that my plan offers and has less data traffic. Pretty much satisfied with the product.
Dhruv Joshi –
Bought this router for a cable broadband with 40 mbps plan.. working good, no issues at all. but i have doubts with 200 mbps or more than that plans…- Coverage is nearly same as two antennas, that is what i disliked.- Setup is easy for some knowledgeable people.- Price is okay- Features are good but one feature is missed that we can not repeat Wi-Fi from 2.4 ghz to 5 ghz- Not good for more than 100mbps plansreview will be updated.

Well, I thought moving from single antenna TP Link 150mbs router to this triple one will improve the range to a greater extent. As on the initial days it was giving some good range but after few weeks it has become equivalent to my previous 150mbs single antenna router. Well in the end this product didn’t met my expectations given that this comes with 3 antenna, which is basically equivalent to 1 antenna.

Don’t believe in 300Mbps or 433Mbps, if you will use it as a wireless repeater then you can get the speed but if you are going to use it as a wired connection you will get only 70-80 Mbps. If you want more than 100Mbps on wired connection then go for a gigabit router.
Z.SPANDAN –
The product quality is descent, with hard plastic body and 4 antenas. Although it has 4 antenas, I am not getting enough range around the house. Proper placement of the MODEM is essential.Although the speeds it can handle is claimed to be 300Mbps, in real world, you can expect only about 200-220Mbps.Other than that, I have faced no issues regarding connection loss(due to the MODEM), or any issue regarding that.

Pros: Strength is amazing for dual band for 10 meter radius. The 5Ghz bandwidth ping(60ms average) is great for gaming Valotant and CSGO even at 10 meter distance through walls.Cons: or rather downside with my setup, this router is connected to my access point modem/router. So once in 3 days I need to restart the this router to connect to access point which wasn’t the case with my past routers. So yeah, that’s a bummer.Overall: Great router for gaming and mid-large homes.

I bought this especially for 5GHz band so that I and My wife can work together. My laptop has only 2.4GHz band and wife’s laptop has 5GHz. So i thought we both can work on these different bands. But 5GHz range is very less. It reaches bed room from living room (which is hardly 20ft away in an L shape design) in our 2BHK flat but range drops drastically. I checked with wifi analyzer and signal drops to around -75dB in the bed room. I knew that 5GHz band has less range but did not expect like this. Transmit power is highest possible. 2.4GHz band is working fine.

The speed received is great, received exactly same speed as my plan in 5ghz. The signal strength is good for a 3bhk flat. I use smart connect feature which is very helpful as it automatically shifts from 5gz to 2.5gz when needed.Only found one issue that whenever there is a power cut, it takes the router atleast 4-5 minutes to connect to internet again. If I unplug and replug the lan cable on router, the internet is connected instantly, but if I leave it, it takes time to connect back to internet on its own. So that part is a little irritating sometimes.Overall its a good router for home and office use.

It’s only been 2 days since I started using this router and I already know what problems it’s going to create.1. The setup was rather easy and without any issue, it was ready to go in under 5 minutes for a normal home network.2. The speed was rather good when nearby with negligible latency. I own a 50 Mbps connection and achieved almost all of it easily. But, the 3rd point will explain where the problems with the speed arises.3. WiFi signal caused the main problem overall. I could sense the signal drop as soon as there was a minor distance of 10-15 feet. Although it works well enough in a separation of one thick wall, you’ll start experiencing signal drops in 2 thick walls. It isn’t able to hold the speed as soon as the signal drops by one bar. It directly got disconnected as soon as I was on a video call in a weak signal even when I could stream youtube and OTTs at the same range. Maybe it couldn’t handle the load, I don’t really know the specifics.I do acknowledge that the position of the router does affect overall performance but I ensured that by placing the same at the most optimum position in my home and still faced such problems.Overall, the router is good in providing the speed efficiently upto 100 Mbps connections, easy to install with good security but the signal strength is a major issue as it cannot hold the speed on a drop of one Wi-Fi bar, thus couldn’t serve my purpose.

First impressions – -Faced a lot of problems while connecting to router’s settings via browser. The settings webpage lags, do not loads and at last crashes, can not even change a setting because of this at first. I had to reset my network (in settings of win10) to properly get it working, after resetting it is working fine. There’s a serious bug in firmware of the router which causes this problem.EDIT : new firmware update is fine ,now it works fine without any problem while setting up.No more router webpage crash.Features – – 2.4ghz 5ghz at low prices, full of features, settings, a perfect routerWDS(range extender) – it does the job perfectly, no need of costly range extenders, the main router is situated far away but still i get full broadband speed(60mbps) where as previously in other wifi devices i am getting 35mbps max. One thing to keep in mind is that when using 2.4/5ghz band for WDS the speed of the WDS enabled band will be halved bescause the router has to retransmit the data(from main router again to the device) but in ethernet ports, the other band(5ghz if using 2.4 as wds) you will get full speed. As i tested2.4ghz (wds enabled band) speed – – 40mbs5ghz speed–60mbpsEthernet ports–60mps

Installation was quite easy. I have cloned PC’s MAC ID into the router.Design is great looking. Range is more than sufficient for me, even though I’m using it on low power mode.Temperature maintenance is great, can’t feel any heat on the device’s surface. The indicator lights are rather tiny and dim. The light symbols are not readable from distance. You have to move withing 4 feet of device to tell which one is glowing.Another thing I observed, if you turn OFF the WIFI from the admin webpage, then you can’t turn it back ON using the physical button on the router. You have to do it again through webpage.Prices have gone up in Corona year unfortunately and that’s a bummer. This was almost 50% cheaper last year.

if ur 3 to 4 or 5 members u can use it so comfortable, if u download the Tether app u can customize the wireless network as u want, like it has 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz n also guest mood too, so u can activate the guest if u want to u can turn off the 2.4Ghz if u want or u can turn off 5Ghz, u can off 1 at a time. The main thing is u get 2 switchable wireless moods in this.

+ The drop in speed and latency is almost negligible when used as extender with CAT7 cable. Range is also good, as it covers almost entire house. Connection breaks only once in a few days.- Be careful: wifi password comes on a tiny slip. Given speed is sum of 5g and 2.4g speed though still more than required for us.

If you want to buy a router for normal usage, go for it.1. 5 GHzIf you want to use 5 ghz band , it works great when you are in clear sight of routerBut if there is a wall between your device and router , the 5 ghz is not going to work that great and , sometimes you will loose the connection. Also overall signal coverage of 5 GHz is small2 . 2.4 GHz2.4 GHz band has great coverage and will work flawlessly even if there are 2-3 walls between you and router. It is great for medium size flats (2-3 bhk).Signal strength drops to low when you are on the floor above or below the floor where router is installed.EASY TO INSTALL AND CONFIGUREYou can manage the devices connected to your router using tether app easily. Also if you give same password to both 2.4 and 5 GHz.And your device is connected to 5 ghz and you move to different room , your device will be switch to 2.4 ghz and if you move back to room where the router is installed then the device will not switch to 5ghz you will have to disconnect and then connect again to wifi to connect to 5ghz band.also make sure you have the device[laptop , mobile ,tv ] which support 5GHz and high speed internet else don’t waste your money on dual band router.

I replaced the basic router which came with the internet connection with this TP Link C80 Dual Band 4 Antennas router. There was definitely noticeable improvement in Wireless signal range and connectivity range. It was very easy to setup as well.I replaced default Cat5 cable which comes with this router with a Cat7 cable to connect it to main modem. This Router can definelty handle more devices than the simple wifi routers you get from your internet provider. I strongly feel this is a value for money product which serves the purpose best and can recommend this for sure.

Pros:3×3 mimo, so if in range good speed always on supported devices on 2.4g also.Cons:- Range is Ok, not as good as Advertised. My broadcom based Old TPlink had better range..- No DD WRT support yet and I don’t know it will be supported.- Also TP Link site is listing V2 and V2.2 also so looks a new version is imminent for this model.

I bought this TP-Link Archer C80 AC1900 Dual Band Wireless Router after a lot of research. I even considered the less costly options such as the TP-Link Archer C6 and AC1200 and the much costly Asus Routers. But I needed a Wifi with a good range of signals since in my house the WIFI is located at one extreme corner and with my earlier single band wifi, the signals were not adequate. I had to put a WIFI extender for better signals. However this wifi gives strong signals at the extreme opposite sides of my flat with a decent amount of speeds i.e. the speed drop on account of distance is not much and I can easily surf the web, play videos, and online games anywhere in my house. I am now not using the extender anymore. Further with the Smart Wifi feature, the 2.4 and 5 hz band are combined together and the wifi automatically adjusts to the speed requirements without the need of shifting between two bands. The Teather app of TP-Link is very easy to use. The looks of the WIFI are also great. And with the Gigaport availability, this WIFI is ready for high-speed internet up to 1GBPS. It is really value for money WIFI and i where much recommendable by me.

You don’t need too much IT knowledge to set this up. Easy to Install if you follow the process given in the manual. I connected using Tether app and it was quick. With my old router I was struggling to get 30mbps speed with 2.4ghz and 5ghz was not connecting unless I sit next to my old router. This one easily provides the WiFi of 5ghz to many devices and covers the range of more than 1200 sqft house. Archer C60 is very good product.

Check your devices before you buy this router. Since it is a dual band router, it can transmit data at both 2.4the and 5ghz. 5ghz are the newer versions which transmit faster data but for a short distance. Phones and laptops which are manufactured these days come with a compatibility of connecting to the 5ghz band which doesn’t support older devices , which were made 3 years or more. So you’ll have to adjust with the same slow speeds or even less than single band routers if u have a device which is older than 2-3 years. I have used the router and half the devices do not support 5ghz band and the 2.4ghz gives very bad speeds at times. There might be better routes than this so look into your device compatibility before buying. And yeah the 5ghz band is really fast and worth going for if it supports

With so many Wi-Fi extenders on the market, it’s difficult to find the one that suits individual needs. For me, I needed an extender purely to ensure streaming services in a ‘dead zone’ back room remained available. I literally googled “Top 10 Wi-Fi extenders” and after clicking the blog link, this product happened to be the first one reviewed. I’ve had this for around 3 weeks and not once have any of my streaming platforms frozen or cut out, removing the need to consistently reset devices that are connected to wi-fi.This product comes with an easy step by step process on how to set up. I tend to be sceptical of anything that has “easy set up” however this one had proven itself to be just that. I was on my way to streaming in around 5 or 6 minutes. The most amout of time was taken to find the right power socket in the house between our modem and the ‘dead zone room’ and to reset all the devices that use wi-fi within that room.Very happy with this product, definitely recommend.

I was searching for router and does not even know about configuration even as per my requirement. frankly speaking I am not aware about router specifications and what elements need to take care while purchasing router. I know I wanted high speed internet and for that i required router. initially I do only compare TP link with other products. and I found this was suitable. I never take review from any tech person and decided to purchase and place PO as well. but then later on when I received this product and the at time of internet installation the engineer take router from me, and he was happy to see this model, and said to me that this is good router. he explained me about its range specification and its market brand value. although this is Chinese made product I appreciate for the hard work for design this. I wish Indian brand well soon make a way into market. looks wise it is really attractive.

I have actually tested the range test , and here’s what I have noticed . I have my router on the first floor left corner room and I receive signal overall the 1st floor but when it comes to ground floor I get good signal in that room which is exactly under the 1st floor’s left room where the router is… And the other rooms in the ground floor doesn’t get any signal like I get hardly 1 signal, so after this I thought that my router has problem but then I checked on the second floor. Second floor gives quite good signal in all the rooms ,but still sometimes gets low signal and so again it made me disappointed buttt .. I decided to go outside in an open area and guess what I got good signal to run YouTube videos at 480 p from my router to 15+metres outside so what I understood is that I think this router faces problem to transmit signal through the walls but it will transmit good signal at outside.
Rohan –
I swiftly purchased the router since I was in a dire need. However , couple of things I missed out to read before making the purchase.1. This is not a gigabit router – Only 100MBPS max internet speed will be supported.2. This is v4 – Not latest v6 mentioned on TP LINK site.Having said – Few positives.1. 5 GHZ signal is fast – 2.4 is Average – Nothing breakthrough compared to traditional 2.4 GHZ only router.2. Facebook checkin feature is interesting.3. Range Extender functionality can still be achieved in v4 – via WDS option under wireless.

people with internet connection more than 100mbps speed only go for 5ghz routers . as 2.4ghz max speed is 400 mbps in this one & ordinary routers have 300mbps in 2.4ghz . so in real world if u have 100mbps & dowload any movie u will get 12-13mbps in 300 mbps & 14-15mbps in 400mbps router . wer as if u have 5ghz u will get around 27mbps wifi & 35-40mbps lan downloading rate for a file . i have 125mbps & under 5 ghz speed test is showing 110mbps on wifi & 125mbps on lan. so product is performing as per specifications. the 4 antenass r giving same performance as a 2 antenas while doors closed in home .so doors should be open . many people use ac rooms with closed doors so keep a note about it (also bathrooms u will not get signal so be carefull with smart IOT homes) . the 5ghz gives same performance even doors closed as i believe this router to be more penetrating.cons :-no colour option avble. as usual black .which is boring colour after many years of use.

Let me discuss some technical stuffs here with proven , tested ground realities !!2 Frequencies available 2.4 GHz (3 antennas) and 5 GHz (2 antennas). You can connect your OLD devices which supports upto 802.11n to 5GHz if you keep your settings as – Mode: 802.11 a/n/ac Channel width and Channel : AutoDO NOT ATTEMPT to connect to 2.4GHz. The reason is you will get HUGE Packet DROP. I don’t know why but this all bunch of C60 routers are having this issue. DO NOT ATTEMPT to call to TPLink Support, because a bunch useless fellows sitting there who will waste your time. The 2.4 GHz is supposed to work under channel width – 40 MHz and channel 11 /6 /9. But the reality is after getting connected for >2Hrs you will experience the packet drop and this phenomenon you can’t explain to the support. I tried to explain them taking screenshots at different occasions. But they simply DON’T listen. They will always change the channel from existing to different settings, and will say the problem is fixed. But the real problem will appear if you use the router long.In short, the effective bandwidth (If incoming WAN Connection 100MBPS) for Mobile (supporting 802.11n/ac) you will get around 80 MbpsBut for laptop not sure why the sppedtest result varies although my laptop is compatible.

This is a very decent router – no issue as to what it does. My previous TPLink router TL-WR740N lasted a full 8.5 years. If that is not legendary consumer electronics robustness, I don’t know what is. I also have 2 TPLink dongles which have also been chugging along happily. So with that out of the way, my problem is the kind of misleading advertising and product info that is provided with this router. The joke is always on the consumer, so beware and be knowledgeable before purchase.Joke 1 – 300Mbps and 433Mbps as claimed are just theoretical link level throughput, at the TCP/IP layer the actual throughput is a lot lesser (which is as per protocol, nothing to do with this router).Joke 2 – “Simultaneous 2.4GHz 300Mbps and 5GHz 433Mbps connections for 733Mbps of total available bandwidth” – I challenge TPLink to actually demonstrate simultaneous driving of claimed speeds on both bands – its simply not possible.Joke 3 which is the biggest joke of all – This silly router has a Ethernet-in port that does a max of 100Mbps. So if the input pipe supports a max of 100Mbps, will the router magically turn that into 300 and 400 Mbps when distributing it wirelessly?? The max throughput achievable is limited by the input pipe – ie lesser of the broadband plan speed, or the IN port. Eg my house has a 150Mbps broadband connection, but that’s wasted since the Ethernet port on this router is limited. So I get 100Mbps wireless. (Which BTW, is just fine for me – 100Mbps speed is ridiculously fast for anything and everything)

This review is after 5 months of use. The installation was very straight forward, you need to enter the id, pw, connection type detail of your ISP account for set up via the Tether app. The wifi signal is very good. Though the router is located in one corner of the hall, the signal reaches almost all corners including the bedroom which has three walls in between. Streaming on smart tv @5GHz is excellent. The tech support is good. Intially, the 2.4 GHz signal sometimes was not getting restore after a power cut. Called up the customer care and this was sorted out with some setting change through the Tether app.Overall it’s a very good buy. Go for it if you’re ok with the price.

This is the cheapest TP-Link router with FEM (Front-end modules). These circuits boost wifi signal and processing to ensure great coverage in all corners of your home. I am seeing + 10 dBm difference compared to my old router while sitting in a room on the floor below.Good features of this router:1. It support updates directly from the TP-link website (you do not need to download the firmware)2. It supports SmartConnect which allows you to set the same settings for both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands and devices will be load-balanced across both bands to reduce congestion.3. Being a Wifi ac router, it has the speeds to support 3×3 MIMO if your laptop supports it.4. Beamforming and FEMs boost signal to all corners of the house.I do not see any negatives of this router.Yes there’s Wifi 6 routers out there now. But ones with FEM are more expensive than this one.And in any case, Wifi6 is not yet supported across our devices yet. Look at this tech in another 2-3 years once the devices become common.

I’m using TP-Link router from last 10 years or so, they provide pretty good service throughout. I bought this router as my previous router stopped working after 6 years of continuous service. This is a pretty good router as my house is of 1000 sq. ft. in area and have three floors. The router is placed at the ground floor in my house but I am able to get signal from 2.4ghz throughout all the house covering each and every corner of the above two floors. The 5ghz signal is a bit shorter so I get 5ghz just upto my 1st floor. So, I would like to recommend this router to anyone seeking for a decent long range router in a low budget.

Dont get fooled by the number of antennas it has, honestly it doesnt even cover my whole 2BHK apartment as i had expected. The signal reception for the 2.4ghz band is worse i have ever seen, its same as my old tp-link 2 antenna router, even though it has 3 antennas for the 2.4ghz band it hardly improved the coverage. Only if your smartphone/laptop has a good wifi reception it picks the weakest of weakest signal too. Or else most of the device get disconnected. The best thing about this router is the 5ghz band. This is the only router which has separate antennas for 5ghz band which makes the signal reception excellent throughout my house. We all know that the 5ghz band comes with less coverage but due to 2 separate antennas this band has the same coverage area as the 2.4ghz band with 3 antennas. This is something i wasnt expecting. So go for it if your priority is for 5ghz band as it comes with few of the best coverage area routers. One important thing, dont get fooled by the speed support it offers thats 1350mbps. Although this router supports that much transfer of speed but the WAN and the LAN ports are maxed @100mbps. So only 100mbps max internet plan you can connect with it and not gigabit plan greater than 100mbps.Overall a nice product for the price range of 2000 rupees.

Very easy to install. Just follow the directions given in the instructions sheet supplied with the item. I have taken one wired connection from it and also using the wireless connection simultaneously for my Mobiles and smart TV, all working simultaneously. No issues. Decent range. You need to position the router appropriately in your house for optimum range and decent signal strength for your devices to function well. You cannot get a better deal at this cost with the features of dual band, three antennae, build, light weight, easy installation and 300 MBPS although it claims 453 MBPS (haven’t actually checked for 453 MBPS). Package arrived in tamper-proof sealed condition (fresh piece). Packaging was perfect and delivery was very prompt. If you are intending to buy, just close your eyes and buy it.

Though now a, b, g is like almost outdated because the speed on these standards are less compared to n and ac.Its dual band which means it works both on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz(individually).2.4Ghz= large distance and also it has too much of noise therefore the speed received on this band is relatively lesser than 5Ghz(speed upto 900Mbps with standard’n’)5Ghz= shorter distance and very good speeds plus noise level is drastically reduced therefore achieving high speeds of upto 1Gbps with standard’n’ and’ac’ standard upto 4GbpsAdvantage:+5 antennas giving good coverage+Both bands configurable separately+Light weight and easy to mount on wall+Comes with android & iOS app to configure and manage the routerDisadvantage:-No USB port. (maybe not so important)-Antennas are not user replaceable.Max Throughput:*Wireless-B: 11 Mbps*Wireless-G: 54 Mbps*Wireless-N: 600-900 Mbps*Wireless-AC: 1200-5300 Mbps*Wireless-AD: 1200-7200 Mbps(this is yet to be released in Indian market, I didn’t find any. if it is release then its very costly)NOTE: Don’t go by no. of antennas the router has. Even a router with no antenna physically seen can achieve all of the above however the cost is going to be very high. So, this means “just because there are more antennas doesn’t mean it will have good speed”.

The router speed is as promised, 100 MBps. Coverage is very good. There are lot of features in 192.168.0.1. There are only 2 disadvantages: i) The LED lights are DIM ii) The Data speeds of WAN and LAN ports is limited to 100 MBps, so, anyone having a speed of more than 100 MBps, can’t get the promised speed of the ISP.

The router is pretty good and it has a pretty good range for 2-3 rooms on same floor/level. It is not recommended for people having big houses or houses which have a lot of walls blocking different rooms. The range is decent but it’s not worth it. It’s recommended to put in a little extra cash and purchase a better model.Overall : It’s worth it if you have a tight budget and if you need a internet connection on the same floor for a couple of rooms. I am not disappointed in its quality as the speed dosent drops if I am in same room or the room next to me. If I move to a floor exactly above the router the RANGE IS 0 AND I CANT CONNECT TO THE WIFI.

I was frustrated with my BSNL fiber connection as the modem supplied by them is horrible, forced to lay a cat5 cable from the modem to my router, 300 Mbps theoretical. It was giving 15 to 30 Mbps and very low range. After going through reviews i decided to go for this modem and highly satisfied with the performance. Extremely easy to set up. Getting morethen 100 Mbps speed , my connection is 100 Mbps. Coverage range is more than 3000 square feet , my entire house is getting covered and at 30 meter getting 20 to 40 Mbps. Highly recommended even though it is costly in comparison to C6 Archer router. Delivered the material in straight 2 days which is really praise worthy. Packaging is nice and material quality superb.

It’s been a day since I used this router. Previously I had tp link wr840n which was a basic model and this is acctually a pretty good upgrade compared to that… The range is quite good and the 5Ghz channel is working faster and covers decent distance…Overall this is a best product to buy if u need to upgrade from basic router and u need unitrupted usage….Go for it…

I bought this product because I was required to have a 300 Mpbs plan to support my work which requires high-speed internet. Thinking this router would support my speed but to my disappointment, the router only supports sub 100 Mbps. It’s an ok product if you have 100 Mbps, but for 100+ Mbps speeds, I would not recommend this product. I suggest you buy a TP-Link AC6 router for 100 Mbps and above speed.

There are some very good points as well as some.I have been using this router with at least 4 phone connected with 2 laptopsPros1) This wifi offers continuous speed no dropouts2) Tech support is awesome and one can control remotely, You can see which device’s are connected and can block device depending upon situation3) Parental control is awesome and works good.4) Guest mode is there and you can share password of guest mode to your annoying neighborhoos if you want that will not affect prmiary speed5) Wifi is compact and requires less space can be mounted easilyCons1) Rage is major issue I find my house is not very big and have 1 walls to next room, when I use from other room signal strength drops down.2) It becomes slight warm while continous use while my previous router was not showed any heatup issue.3) Be carefull while handling as antenas are delicate so one has to be extra carefull while handlingIf I summaries my experience, I will say yes go for it if you have 1-2 rooms.

The product is fine and very easy to install and access though your service provider will install it. Now when I purchased my main concern was ‘is it going to provide good signal in every corner ?’ but I must say it will. Basically if you are going to install it near window then it will provide good signal up and downside. But I don’t think it can penetrate thick wall that much. Maybe you can access internet but not in good speed.
shiva dayal –
Wifi signal is not very strong, especially if there are thick walls.

So I needed a dual band wifi router on a budget, firstly to see what difference a 5Ghz band made, and secondly to expand the coverage area of my wifi network. I installed this as a router along with my BSNL FTTH connection. To start off, the router came in a nice packing and with some help from courteous and helpful tp link support it was a breeze to install and get running. Now comes the part for which I purchased the router..1. 5Ghz band, as you know the coverage of 5ghz is lower but despite that the router maintained speeds without slowing down at a distance of about 30ft with two walls in between, the only issue here was the increased ping time and lower coverage signal(one bar out of three) which was observed at this point. Moving beyond this point led to a complete loss of 5ghz signal.Although, near the router a better ping and sustained high speed was observed on 5ghz band than the 2.4Ghz.2. Coverage area, this is the point and rather the weakest one of this whole router which did not live up to the expectations with which it was purchased. Despite the antennae setup the range of this router at 2.4Ghz was almost equal, if not worse than my previous router which came along with the FTTH connection. This left me wondering as to what purpose all these 5 antennas serve on the router, other than adding some cosmetic value to it.Overall a good stable router, ran it for 4days at a stretch without any issues. but coverage area is its weakest link if there is a wall or two between you and the router. So it will serve the purpose well for a small space but for anything over 200sqft the router starts to falter.

I have never experienced speed like this before. I get 100 mbs+ through two walls and through two closed doors.I was in despair because I had Firestick 4k but didn’t have the bandwidth to enjoy it.This has made all the difference.Setup was under 10 minutes and that’s because I took time to read the quick setup instructions slowly and had some trouble downloading the tether app.Using it for my ACT Broadband.I have ordered the RE 300 AC 1200 mesh extender but I realise it will not be needed at all.Worth the price.

So this is router review, first of all the range is excellent but the signal suffers badly through doors please keep in mind, and out of 100mbps plan that I have I get around 25mbps in my neighbor’s house. It have some nice features like a separate home and guest that is useful sometimes and the tether is also nice gestureSetup is very easy in fact. The only con that I feel is that the ethernet cable provided is very short but that is case with almost all routers , so this one is very good.Build quality is just Ok not great but it is still somewhat solid in feel being still a plastic body. Also the plug pins are not of good quality, mine got some bend in them so be careful with them. Thanks guys if you read this.

My previous wifi had 2.4ghz which dropped signal by almost 50 percent no matter where i keep my laptop. After much research I discovered that 2.4Ghz bandwidth is easy to get clogged. The only solution to this challenge is to choose a WiFi that supports a different bandwidth which is uncluttered – 5 ghz. This Wifi router has additional 5 GHz bandwidth which gave me accurate internet speed. There is no speed drop since then.

Although, the advertised speeds are never achievable, this particular router will never be able to cross the 100Mpbs mark because the WAN port only supports upto 100Mbps (It’s mentioned in the description, but it’s kind of deceptive advertisiing). You don’t need to worry about it unless you have a connection >100Mbps.Otherwise a pretty good product, decent looks, can also be wall mouted. I’ve only used it within 10m and got good signal strength on both bands. To setup router is also pretty straight forward and web UI to configure the router is easy and provides many options for greater control.
Badrinath –
The product is Good and supports good gigabit rates. No issues or disconnections in 2.4GHz or 5GHz network for months now. Good installation interface with WPA3 support. Some repeaters won’t work if WPA3 is set. The router is compact and sturdy.

Maximum input supported is 100 Mbps and maximum output supported is 100mbps as a router. Don’t buy this if you have or planning to take more than 100mps isp as this is maximum limit it can support.1200 Mbps is a marketing gimmick.
Manjunath MK –
The router speeds are good, dual band works great, the signal strength is not very good but ok, For a 2 BHK house, the signal is weak at the corners and hardly reaches to the master room. Signal drops are common, I’m looking to add a wifi signal booster. Bought for 2.2k, bit overpaid for the quality.

I’ve been using the router for 2 weeks now. After doing some research for over a week, I decided to go with this one. The design is classy and the material is sturdy. If you place the router on the table where everyone can see it, then this is the best looking one.I had few hiccups in the first 2-3 days. The device connection remained intact with the router but device couldn’t connect to the internet. After reconnecting the device to the router everything was fine. I had checked all settings, DHCP, etc but couldn’t find the root cause.Surprisingly, after first 2- 3 days, there were no issues at all.Additional it is dual band. :-)Satisfied with the router at least till now.

It’s a good improvement over our earlier old router. Works well with multiple connected devices, and has a good range. It has an option to have a common name for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, and makes the devices switch between them depending on the location.

I have spent a better part of several afternoons trying to fix this product and found many issues that might help you.Product is good and does what is advertised. I have been using TP link products for 5 years now to know that they are of decent quality and do their job with some problems once in a while but setting this up has been a nightmare for me.I had recently installed fibre optics and was looking for a router to use for that purpose. After purchasing and easy installation in few minutes i was able to use the router and also set up wireless distribution system to extend its range to first floor of my house. But after a week speed started to fluctuate a lot and i was thinking it was due to my new fibre connection but later found out that it was this router that was fluctuating quite a lot of speed and had to spend several days on calls with customer care which were very friendly but if your product is defective it will take them 14 days to replace it if you are lucky enough to have service center near you but after resetting and again setting up the router the problem seems to have resolved for now. Also i found out that 5 Ghz channel has low range so it will barey work in one room and if there is wall in between than better stick to 2.4 Ghz channel. 5ghz channel in this router is more of a gimmick and of no practical purpose and for me i have it turned off.Another thing for IPHONE users while setting up the router to get better speeds assign a particular channel instead of keeping it at AUTO. it took me 1 week of painfully messing around to find this out that you will not get good speeds without that. For now the products is working fine but i would appreciate if service center are present in major cities at least.

Now I have 2 Wi-Fi routers D link is in hall & TP link in my bedroom just next to me in 5 feet. Not sure how come still D link gives me better network then TP link. I feel I have wasted 3K buying TP link & I shouldn’t listen ACT tec guy.

Purchased this piece as my old TP-link router become unstable on connectivity. Design is superb and top of it, this comes with 3 antennas which is sufficient enough to use Wi-Fi on various devices (laptop, smartphones, smart TV) with undisturbed internet speed. Best part I liked here is there are two options of Wi-Fi – one is with 5G and other with 4G. It is very good for its price, easy to configure, covers whole Home, albeit at the end of the Home signal only reaches at most 2 lines, but speed still good enough to watch HD videos without buffering. While Local router didn’t even got signal there, must for people who have 100+ Mbps plan.
Kaustubh Mavle –
This router works amazing! Thanks to the 4 antennas, the range is extended upto 150m from the location. Bought it for ₹1699, when everywhere it was offered at ₹1999 or even more. The Tether app works like charm and you can configure the router as you want, as many times you want such as to change router SSID, password, enable/disable specific bands, etc. With latest WiFi 6 and IPv6 standards, it is future-proof as well. Even online game streamers and content creators needing high bandwidth can go for it as it can seamlessly deliver data transfer speeds upto 1Gbps (as claimed). But for normal users with data speeds upto 100Mbps, it is really good and reliable.(Tip: If you’re using this router in place of old one and not receiving internet connection even after correct setup of hardware, do contact your service provider, who usually changes MAC address of old router with new one and it instantly starts working. Happy shopping!)

Range is too average compared to my old MI Router 3c. Especially the 5ghz band. 2.4ghz gives good range and that’s not what u paid for. Overall better option instead of LAN if you are using internet speed of more than 50mbps. And before buying check whether your laptop or desktop which you’re planning to use supports 5ghz band else again you need to buy 5ghz dual band wifi adapter which starts from 949 of same company. Many older laptops doesn’t support 5ghz band, so check before you buy.

This router can only support a maximum of 100Mbps. Even thought the 5G is rated at 433Mbps, you can only get 100Mbps as the WAN is limited to 10/100 which is 100Mbps max. After factoring in loss it is good if your internet connection is 75Mbps.

I was confused between D-Link DIR819 and TP Link C20….Dir 819 was on sale for ₹999 but still i choose this because of its looks and review.Dir 819 is still on old firmware which didn’t look good at all. I was using dlink router from 5 years so for a change i choose this.I am currently using this router for around 10 days. Range of 5GHZ and 2.4 GHZ is very good. I have read some reviews that the range of 5GHZ is less than 3-4M but for me it was greater than even 10-12M…So there is no issue of range atleast for me.I am on 30 Mbps plan and my old router was giving around 30-31 Mbps but this router is giving more than 40 Mbps so for me it is very good.I would highly recommend this router to everyone who are looking for budget dual band router.

Reviewing after using for 10 days:-Ventilation is poor, the bottom part of this router heats up pretty much after 7 hours of continuous usage, so I suggest installing the router in an open area. Transmission range and speed are decent. I’m satisfied with the performance.

Superb router, strong signal, 2.4 GHz band reaches one storey up penetrating two concrete walls. No need for an extender. 5 GHz is a strong signal that gives a solid performance at close proximity. Using on Siti Cable network in Kolkata. Highly recommended.

Product is not good, this model is having manufacturing defect. After 20 days of purchase it rejects authentication and throws Authentication Error in loop, which kicksoff the connection and then you have to wait for hours to get connected.TP Link Technical Support also is of no use even after their troubleshooting they are not replacing the router. When issue is not fixed they started playing blame game that user id or password is incorrect.I have the same user id and password working in another router hasslefree.Better to go with other model. This model Archer C20 is simply waste of money.

Its a big jump for me, moving from a 5years old traditional N300 router to a AC1900 router. Initially i got stuck between Netgear, D-Link, and TP-Link. Finally landed up on to this beast, Using from the past 1 week and here are my initial thoughts.Pros:1. Amazing signal strength both on 2.4 & 5 GHZ bands.2. Handling the tasks seamlessly with 10devices connected.3. No drop in the speed even from a far distance in 5GHZ band.4. Can configure and track the router using the Tether APP available in both APP/Play store.5. Parental control settings.Cons:Nothing as of now.Final Verdict: Best router with amazing performance at this price point.

This is an outstanding router. This router is giving me full speed of my internet service provider. Even if I connect3 devices(1 laptop, 2 mobile phones) there is no speed drop. Best part is that there is no single disconnection from router. I can use internet on my laptop and phones without any disconnection from router throughout the whole day. I am living in a medium size room there are full network towers everywhere in my room. Yes this router is dual band, But your laptop or phone must support 5.0Ghz band to use it. For example I am using two phones Honor 9 lite and Samsung M30. So I can only see 2.4Ghz network on my Honor 9 Lite(Because It does not support 5.0Ghz band) But I can see Both networks on Samsumg M30. Installing this router is super easy it will take only few minutes. Just check out the user manual that comes with in the box and you are ready to go.

All about Tp link Archer C201) Good for office WFH use and gaming as well.2) DUAL band is good, maximum 100 mbps can be used on this efficiently, I am using 50mbps, which is working fine.3) wall mounting option is available, special thanks for that.4) it’s not a gigabit router so don’t expect above 100 mbps out put from it, if you are planning for more than 100 mbps speed.

Dont listen any fake reviews who just expect more over with this cheap price. It has very good range (easily capture 2 floor, if not fully sealed between)5Ghz range is Upto 30-50 feet for strong signal performance (low signal range is far more)2.5 GHz range is upto 40-80 feet depending upon room. Easily penetrate strong signal upto 3 room in my home . ( Low signal range is upto your neighborhood )And it is very lightweight and one can easily wall mound it.Software of TP link is good ,you can on guest mode anytime in app so that any guest can use wifi without password using guest network.Overall i had used max 5 devices , all has good speed. What anyone can anyone expects in this price range . I m purchased it in 1400/-

Had to buy this as an extension to my default Airtel router. I was not getting proper signal in my office room, which was 15-20 meters away from the Airtel router. The TP link router gives me full signal even though it has been installed in my bedroom, which is also the same 15-20 meters away from my office room.

Easy to install and use. I am using 2 laptops with wired connection and 2 mobiles via wifi and it suffics my need with dual bandwidth. Paying for 15mbps broadband and esily getting 20-30Mbps speed. Thanks to TP-Link and Tikona broadband.
MAYUKH DATTA –
Looks nice easy to install. However it’s should come with a tray or couple of hooks so that it can be installed/hung on the wall. Else one has to look for a place to keep the modem on a table or some base. If one is installing on the wall need to buy a tray to hook up on the wall to put this on it.Working wise it’s fine, has three anttenas, signal strength is good but it hampered by walls so throw of signals in some part of the house can be an issue sometimes.Ease of installation and working is very good otherwise.

This router (Archer C80) probably represents the last generation of Wifi-5 only devices, and as such is likely to be among the best we’ll see of this kind. This device’s pricing (~4.5K at the time of writing) puts it in the entry level, but make no mistake, this wireless router should work perfectly fine for most people. It’s got a 3×3 MU-MIMO radio, with beam-forming, and every other wireless feature that is associated with Wave2 Wifi 5 routers. While it has excellent hardware features, note that it’s quite light on advanced software features – so if you’re looking for some specific feature, read the documentation before purchasing. As a basic wireless router, this device is almost perfect.I used this device to replace an aging TP-Link Archer C5 (v1), which only had a 100Mbit WAN port, and which couldn’t handle more than 80Mbps over Wifi under the best of circumstances.I had two important considerations when purchasing this device:1. To remove any kind of bottleneck on the 5Ghz frequency band.2. To improve the usability of Wifi in a distant room (~10m, separated by 3 walls and furniture).## Close-to-mid range performanceAfter replacing the C5 with this device, my PC which is about 3m from the router, and seperated by 1 wall gets a flawless 150Mbps that my ISP offers (April 2021 Update: My ISP now offers 300 Mbps, and that works fine as well). External reviews indicate that this device should handle at least 600Mbps on 5Ghz. I have zero complaints about 5Ghz performance.2.4Ghz is usually a “backup” band for these days, since all recent devices support 5Ghz 802.11ac at minimum. On my Poco F1, at ~3m line of sight, I get about 120 Mbps on 2.4Ghz, which I think is perfectly fine, considering the limitations of this frequency band. I’m always using 5Ghz nowadays anyway, which is now limited only by ISP’s plan speed.## Long-range performanceIn the more distant room (~10m, blocked by 3 walls and furniture), I have an old Dell laptop only has a 2.4Ghz radio. This couldn’t even get a reliable Wifi signal with the older C5 router. While picking this device, I’d paid close attention to the wireless sensitivity specifications that TP-Link helpfully provides on its website, and noted that this device, while entry-level, sports some of the best numbers in its entire range, sometimes beating their highest end devices. I had high expectations from this router, and it did not let me down. After switching to the Archer C80, the old Dell laptop was able to get a solid connection with around 15 to 20 Mbps on the 2.4 Ghz band. However, since that speed wasn’t good enough, I purchased a TP-Link T9UH adapter (AC1900) to see if that would improve things, and indeed it did. With the upgraded Wifi receiver, even the distant room got a reliable ~140 Mbps on the 5Ghz band. In this room, even my Poco F1 is unable to stay connected to the 5Ghz signal, so it probably also has to do with the excellent performance of the T9UH adapter, which is also a modern 3×3 MU-MIMO device that supports beamforming; the router and the adapter have matching specs.## ConclusionAt this price point, I don’t think there is any alternative to this device. The closest modern TP-Link alternative is the Archer AX10, a first-generation Wifi-6 (802.11ax) device that I didn’t have a use for. I don’t own a single Wifi-6 device and it’ll be a few years yet before Wifi-6 devices become commonplace. Also, Wifi-5 (5Ghz, 802.11ac) is clearly good enough for a couple of years; I doubt that Gigabit internet connections will become standard in the short-term and a ~500 Mbps connection from the ISP should be fine for ~99.99% of people for the next couple of years – a speed which the C80 should be able to handle perfectly fine.

My main criteria to buy a router is Signal Range & Quality…I live in a G+2 building with 15 rooms and i am honestly getting excellent signal range & quality in each room even with doors closed and lots of walls…I have a 100 mbps plan and i get around 94 mbps on 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz bands while on the same floor as the router, i get around 70 mbps on the first floor and around 15-25 mbps on the terrace…I have setup the bandwidth to 40 Mhz and Channel as 11 on the 2.4 Ghz band since that channel has less interference from the neighbouring wifi and i have set bandwidth as 80 Mhz and channel as Auto on the 5 Ghz band…I hope watever signal technology they use in this router they continue to use it in their future products…I can say easily that anyone will be able to get excellent quality in their homes because this router is able to provide excellent signal range & quality in my home with lots of rooms and walls…Just go for it…

Review after 1 year of usage,1.My house area is approx 180sq.ft and 4 rooms and its signal reaches in all which help to play videos in 4k which is pretty good i guess but less in download speed use cable for downloading connected directly through router.2.Service centre exp – My router was facing issue in which my device was getting stuck to 8 mbps while my plan is 100 mbps so, i visited there service centre nehru place and i was so surprised they didnt ask any question and replaced me a new BRAND new router. So 10 on 10 For Tp link service.3.But if u have plan above 100 mbps go with gigabit port its upper model.

I am having a 50 Mbps connection and the modem router my ISP provided was only capable of delivering ~30 Mbps via Wifi. This device is delivering the maximum bandwidth and I am happy with it. The remote access, which it provides with the android app as well as the website is very intuitive, with which we can remotely turn on and off the access points and block individual users. (both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz bands, including the guest access points). The inbuilt firewall and QOS service are worth mentioning considering the price at which I got it (Rs. 2099).The only downside that I would like to mention is the signal strength. The 5 Ghz band coverage is low compared to the 2.4 Ghz band. The 2.4 Ghz band signal strength is also not that great when compared to other routers (ex: my ISP provided modem router, Belkin N150). If you are upgrading for more coverage, this one might not be the best router to consider. This device comes handy when you have a centralized media device which streams 4k contents which require much more bandwidth or when you use wireless networks for fast transfers from multiple devices.

I had a TP-Link TL-WR841N, cheap but pathetic router. Would suddenly stop saying no internet, though the modem would show no issues. Had a bad experience with tp link so was not sure if to buy another one from the same company. This model had the best range and speed in its class for the price. I am pleasently surprised to see it’s dual band support, speed and range are good. No issues till now, have not used other features yet.

I’ve been a TP Link user for almost a decade now. While there are other choices available in the market, my personal preference to pick a TP link product is because of their product quality and ease of installation. I recommend this dual band router for a SoHo or WFH purpose.
Pratik Porje –
The router is very good. Its really easy to configure it as compare to dlink. Range is also very good of this router than my dlink router. But since its not a gigabit router, internet speed is capped to 100mbps means you can not get speed more than 100 mbps. Both bands are consistent for Connection, no connection drops observed.

I am using ACT Fiber from very long time. I have 150mbps connection and my old router tp-link 1350Doesn’t give me more than 100 Mbps. So I contacted Act support team and they said Internet cable supports only 100Mbps and needs to be changed. After changing the Cable still Ian getting 100Mbps with my Old router. So I bought tp- 1900 C80 router and now I got 148 Mbps on Lan as well as on Wi-Fi devices. So please check your cable with your Internet provider and your router. All the Best !!

Easy to setup if you know the settings. Or else you will struggle to configure it. I especially struggled a lot with Hathway connection. If it would direct internet then it would be easy. Also settings are to complicated. New user will find it difficult bro understand. Rest all is good, connection, setup, product features etc. Very much recommended for budget router.

Read this before you BUY!!!This is a not a Gigabit router and only supports speeds upto 100Mbps.Although it claims to support 2.4GGhz 300Mbps and 5Ghz 433Mbps, it maxes out at 100Mbps for both the band. I guess the reason being the WAN port is only 10/100.When I’m connected through the ethernet port on my laptop, it gives be exact 300Mbps speed.I recently switched to a high speed 300Mbps connection and that’s when I realised that the router does not support Gigabit network. It served the purpose when I was on a slower connection but with high speed internet becoming the norm and most people are working from home, this router just doesn’t make the cut.Invest in a Gigabit router as it will be future-proof.

Very happy with the purchase. I have a 250 mbps ACT internet plan and I used to get only around 60-80 mbps speed with my old netgear router (which had only 2.4 Ghz band) and also had quite a few issues in getting my apple tv to work with the 2.4 Ghz band wifi and had to frequently restart the devices to get it to work. With this tplink dual band wifi router, I am getting 220-250 mbps speed on both the bands and also my apple tv is seamlessly connecting to the 5 Ghz band and it also handles the simultaneous connections (laptop. mobile etc) quite well. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. The admin interface of tplink router is also good and easy to setup the network.

Its 100mbps capped ports. And 5ghz doesn’t cover long distance in this router. There is a issue everyday with this, it gets disconnected from internet by itself and after some time it works properly and sometimes i have to call my internet service provider regarding this issue. But manageable for less than 100 mbps and light usage in home and office use. But not worth for highly internet dependent office works.

Writing this review after 1 month of Usage.Product is working very well & installation also easy. Speed over wi-fi also same as when directly connected Internet Wire (Note: This is only when wifi box is very near). It has 2 bandwidths 2.4 ghz, 5ghz. As expected 5ghz range is very less, only for 1 room range. I am using 2.4ghz most of the time & its enough for my need. But only thing i didn’t like is Wi-fi Signal range. Actually upgraded this device only for greater signal range as it has 4 antennas & my earlier device has single antenna, but not satisfied with the range. Its signal range slightly better than single antenna of my old device D-link.Final words: If you want to go with dual band consider this device. If you want more signal range consider single band devices with more antennas.

In the Product title they have mentioned Wi-Fi speed up to 867Mbps, but its not the internet speed technically, its file transfer speed within the Wi-Fi.Maximum supported internet speed is 100Mbps only – recently I have upgraded my internet speed to 150Mbps but availed only 100Mbps speed, when I reached with the service provider, came to know that they are using Diplomatic Technical words to sell this low config products.Worst experience from TP Link – Dont buy this product if you want high speed internet like more than 100Mbps.To TP Link Team – There are so many way to sell your product, please don’t cheat us by using Diplomatic Technical words.”TP-Link Archer C5 AC1200 Dual Band Wireless Cable Router, Wi-Fi Speed Up to 867 Mbps/5 GHz + 300 Mbps/2.4 GHz, Supports Parental Control, Guest Wi-Fi, VPN”

This is a good product but it doesnt support above 100 mbps. I upgraded my connection to 300 mbps and had plans to swap my existing netgear to this one but unfortunately it did not serve the purpose. Customer care is not good i had been on the tech support call for 30 min but nobody turned up to help. The input ethernet port does not have all the pin connections as well. So if you want to opt for more than 100 mbps , opt for C6 or A6 or other gigabyte supported routers.

I had my expectations set right and got the perfect router checking all the boxes. Its a best fit for apartments given you give the right spot so the faster wifi band connects to heavy usage devices.I had a previous old router which is netgear n150 a very basic. Served its purpose for 8hrs straight. Got this mainly for data transfers over wifi at the same time game streaming from pc to firetv. I use steamlink for game streaming from PC and this made it a breeze. No lag. Consistent connections. The only con is it has 10/100 ports and it is a bottleneck when i transfer large files over the network(if connected directly through a gigabit PC port to a gigabit laptop port, you can easily expect gigabit speed for large files and this has a limitation on that. That’s completely fine for the price.Overall range is on meant for a 3bhk apartment with the right spot. If not go for better routers

The reason I was looking for new router was that my old one would filter some connection ports and make online game a painful example. For me the game was street fighter v. With this router I had no such experience. Both 5/2.5 bands frequency works nicely. No issues so far, although these routers would get destroyed easily when it’s lightening around you, that’s the only con I can think of right now. My tenda routers use to work fine even with lightening around. But it had that port issue otherwise I would not have gotten this one.

Router is pretty good but the thing is it only supports upto 100Mbps Speed ,this router does not have gigabit ports which the company doesn’t mention on the details and scam us. I bought it for 1.5 k now I can’t upgrade my broadband plan as this router only support 100Mbps

Nice but signal strength is not as expected
Dinesh –
Range falls shorter than some other routers I’ve seen and used due to walls (I guess).

Pros: – Very good speed with dual band. If you switch you high workload (b/w hogging) device to 5GHz – then you will see seem-less speed. – Ease of setting up. Within 30 minutes, I was able to set it up. – On a 2BHK (1200 Sqft) area, the signal reception is very consistent, good and reliable – Has some unique feature – like switch off led lights during night etc. Which are quirky cool ideas.Cons: – Cost 4.5K seems to be on higher side. Sweet spot looks for me would be around 3.5K ~ 4K

Have limited distance of 20-25 squares ft. And limited to sight of vision. Fir molbile it’s working good as wireless but for laptop or desktop bit less powerful.

The routwr works very good, didnt see any signal drop. Anyone who has more than 100 mbps internet connection, pls dont buy this router unless you are okay to get speed upto 100 mbps. Its my fault I didnt see the LAN/WAN speed which is limited to 100 mbps. I am having 250 mbps connection but getting only 100 mbps still it does the job but would be happy if it has that ability. That is one request I will tell to the buyers.

I have been using it for the last 1 month the Wifi signal is suitable for both bands 2.4GHZ and 5.0 GHz bands. All our appliances and innovative accessories are working perfectly.

this is the best and compact wifi tp link router. Very high speed gigabit router.

I had bought this product after lot of research. I needed a dual band router with good signal strength and beam forming features. This has all of it, in addition to many other smart features. TP link cloud control is good. Router webpage UI is also good looking and easy to understand and intuitive. Even 5G had better coverage in my apartment. Few corners of house which were having 3 walls between router and mobile had observed low signal strength for 5G, but 2.4G was really stong to cover those areas.

It’s a good router. I would have rated 5 stars but for the lack of weight in it. I mean it’s way too light even to hold its place on table. Should be added with some artificial weight. Technologically very sound. Go for it.

Easy to install but network is slow within 100m

The product is working very well as of now. Below are my observations of this product in terms of Pros and Cons.Pros :1. It looks premium material and its very light weight router.2. Quite surprised by its 5Ghz frequency range. I am living in 500 sqft. Flat having 3 rooms and I get 92mbps out of 100 mbps speed in all my rooms. It reduces to 60-80 mbps if i close all the doors.3. Its 2.4 ghz frequency range is also good, doesnt required if I am in my home because of 5 ghz speed and range but if i use it in my tv located in other rooms it gives 15 – 20 mbps speed which is good enough to watch HD movies or series. In phones you will get max. 40-50 mbpsCons:1. So it loses connectivity some time i mean really not that frequently but it happens. My assumption is its not my router but the internet wire connected to my modem is the culprit here.2. The range detoriats if i go to my terece which is just above my flat for both 2.4 and 5 ghz frequency.3. It takes little time to connect to internet when rebooted.4. Configuration issue. Make sure you have settings of old router saved along with username and password of your account provided by your ISP. Otherwise you may messup with settings and ingernet wont work as easily as it looks or people may say.

A honest review:Among all gigabit routers I tried everything.here is my live and recent experience1.dlink gigabit 841. Ah! It’s pathetic 5GHz absolutely worst then worst. I’m in front of router but I’m not able to see in iPhone..in my laptop for 5GHz wifi signal speed test ended to 80 mbps 2 GHz .no way it’s 40 mbps even in laptop and my internet speed is 100 mbps ACT2. TPlink: TPlink gigabit routers are actually good . Very good coverage. For 2ghz ang 5 GHz wifi signal is slightly up and down if it’s ver far like two walls back. If you put TPlink gigabit in Center of house ..I’m sure it have a very good coverage..I tried TPlink archer A6. It’s pretty good. When you put it center of house.3. Finally TPlink c80 ac1900: this is beast .an actual gigabit router which cover both 2 GHz ang 5 GHz wifi signal. With very good signal strength coverage and No drops even in wo walls back. It’s a bit cost .. but I’m sure it worth..but only my concern ..how long it will work.. which means standard performance working…I will check fir some months and will review once again. If you working from home ..get a cat 7 lan Ethernet cable and connect it from router to your latop..check the speed..it should awsom…I got 160 mbps download and 300 mbps upload as my internet speed is 100 mbps only.. if in mobile..I can’t say in words ..the speed is too good fir both 2ghz and 5ghz

Overall a good Router. I was getting good reception at a line-of-sight distance of 25 feet from the router on 5Ghz band. Meets the expectations. However there are some small factors that somewhat disappointed me.1. DHCP Reservation List – No option to manually update the device name. It takes the default device name so my desktop (named as ‘MyPC3’) appears twice in the list when I am on LAN as well as WiFi adapter. In my earlier router I could name them as say MyPC3-LAN and MyPC3-WIFI. So it was a lot easier to identify, now I have to dig out the MAC addresses.2. NTP Sync – This router uses port 123 for time sync over the Internet. So if your ISP blocks all lowered numbered ports, which most ISPs in India do, your router will fail to sync time correctly and then all your time based features like Parental Control, Scheduled reboot won’t work correctly. They will operate but at a wrong time! Ideally routers should use higher numbered ports that are generally not blocked by ISPs to communicate to NTP servers3. No VPN server. However I have understood that TP-Link in future firmware upgrades is likely to introduce this feature but it does not exist as of now. What also I somewhat did not like is that the LEDs are too small and many were not properly aligned. 4 were bright and 5th one was not in line causing it to appear dimmer than the rest.If TP-Link can fix the above 3 points, I will change the rating from 4 to 5. If these 3 things do not bother you, this router is a good choice.

Before purchasing I read reviews of many routers, searched YouTube. Finally select this. I use Alliance Broadband 50 Mbps unlimited plan. Range is quite good. I have two-storied building 1000 sqft each floor. I placed it in ventilator of a 1st floor room and it covers both floor’s rooms. It also covers the next room easily. But the signal falls half when you moves to the third room. But on mobile it runs fine. It can also stream Netflix Hotstar Prime on my 55″ smart FHD TV without buffering. I can also stream iPad and two smartphones simultaneously without much trouble. For my need it is good. Only you have to select its position wisely.Cons : The Router has a limited access upto 100 mbps. You can go for Gigabyte Routers if you are planning to subscribe more than that.

Pros:One such beat routers in the market, Ive been a Netgear fan all these years. But, wanted to give a different trial, so opted for TP-Link, after i was convinced with the performance of Tapo (TP-Link WiFi Camera). Does the job perfectly.Cons:1. Once you enable the access control, the router isnt able to detect new devices connected to the network, seeking approval for whitelisting. Instead you will need to whitelist the phone or computer via their WiFi Mac address entered manually. (Needs a fix)Rest all assured to be stable and best router ever 👌

the problem that I had with the earlier router was its LOW Wi-Fi range and the Wi-Fi speed which has now significantly increased with the TP-link archer C-60.

I bought this one to make it as a wifi extender. But the problem is it doesn’t have WDS i.e. I couldn’t extend the wifi using Wifi signal from the main router. I had to use RJ 45 cable to extend wifi. Does it’s job.

Still working so good, I only use wireless, never use with data cable so I’m reviewing from that prospective that it’s so good. When I play PUBG, I use 5G band and if I am not near the Wi-Fi then I need to connect to the 2.4 GHz band. To get more speed and good ping as well connect to 5 GHz.Plus point:- In winter or cold days the 2.4 GHz works from more than 400 square foot & it’s surprising

Yeah I don’t say this router is bad. It is good only but the router max speed support on wifi is 100 mbps.If you have act of some ISP which gives you 150 or more MBPS it won’t work. You have to looks for router which has lan speed of 1000 (100 or more ) and wan speed of 1000.
rajesh Sivam –
Good one ..!!
Hrithik Gautam –
The router is absolutely fine for it’s price. If you have a budget of 1500/- then you should go for this one. Because not many routers give dual band in this price range.Connectivity is good and reach is also good about 2-3 floors if kept accordingly by a high vent-window. The three antennas may not be omni-directional but they do their work just fine. For a Home office , mid range Gamer , normal usage ,streaming, the router is actually among the best options available.
Pankaj K. –
If someone wants to extend a routers wifi using this, you will have to connect this by lan cable to the main router. After that simply change mode of the router in admin panel. My main router gives ~50 mbps in wifi, after connecting this router to main router with lan cable(30ft) , I get ~80mbps in wifi high freq mode from this router. I use it on first floor.
BiswasR –
Difficult to set it up for the first time. It took a lot of time and testing to change various settings in the router for my connection to work. Once set up it is working perfectly. So far I’ve not noticed any problems. The range is similar to other dual band routers. So for a two storey building it is necessary to use wifi range extender to cover the entire house. Otherwise the internet speed decreases significantly.

This is an amazing product in this price segment. Quite satisfied with the range of wifi signal, specially the range of 5GHz band’s range is amazing. I was able to browse internet from second floor while it was on ground floor. But somewhat disappointed with 2.4GHz range as it should provide greater range but it’s range is somewhat similar to 5GHz one. Setting it up was a little bit tricky. And lastly, I’m running it continuously for several days with no problem. So, satisfied with product. If you manage to get it at sale, you may go for it.

Very good signal strength. Ours is a 3 storied building. I kept it at 1st floor, in the center. Each floor is having 800 sq ft carpet area. And we are getting satisfactory signal strength even at far most corners. We are having 100 Mbps internet plan and I am getting a download speed of 20mbps speed at the far most corners.

So we ordered this without doing enough research. We assumed that since it said 750 Mbps, I presumed it should work fine with internet speeds of 750 Mbps but we failed to notice the 10/100 LAN and WAN ports which indicates that this router can utmost transfer at 100 Mbps per connection. So even if your internet speeds are higher, you will be capped by this limit
