This is a nonsense router. I bought it as a replacement for my old Cisco Linksys router. I’m usually willing to spend more for a better device. Slik & Consistent Performance
It was installed as wired WIFI extender with the support of IT professional. It gives very good wifi signal and easy to connect more than 5 to 6 device without dropping signal. But, the device cannot be registered in India as it is US marked product, consulted C care and they assured that the support will be given in India also. This is the matter of concern. The product was delivered on scheduled time.Overall, it is slim & good product, can be used as WIFI extender.

Best Router with WDS to use wireless range extender
Product quality is excellent, no issue with speed but their is 2-3 main issue or problem with it that it automatically reboots after around 10 hrs or more( I didn’t notice the exact time). And second things sometimes it’s WDS doesn’t work shows me WDS as Assoc I don’t know the meaning of it but when I got this status of wds then it won’t work. For fix I trying rebooting it till it gets started working and Third thing is that when you use internet through WDS feature then it can pass internet to other devices but it can’t use itself for remote managementor online management, for firmware update. I don’t know why this happened. Fourth is that TP – Link doesn’t have good customer care support system either on chatbot or on customer support number. I tried 20+ times to call them but only two times I get connected with them but no use of it because their voice is not clear to meNote :- My network at that time is absolutely clear , I checked by calling somewhere else

Worth every penny spent
I’ve a 200 Mbps ACT connection and my previous router even though reads 300 Mbps router it only gave 80Mbps speed (checked on speedtest). When I upgraded to this router it gave me 300 Mbps upload and download speed on the same network. The main reason being this router has Gigabit port. Highly recommend this. Use it with a Wifi UPS for no interruption during power cuts.

Great router for everyday use
This router is great. I’ve used a couple of routers before and have faced a network drop issue but with this one, even under heavy usage condition it seems to hold the internet speeds accurately. No overheating or anything.I’m giving it a 4 start because of the packing. The box had a hole going straight through it and if that wasn’t the case, I’d give this a 5 star. But I’m happy the device itself is intact and sustained no damages.

Awesome router, and absolutely worth the money!
Sharing this review after a week of using the product. I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt compelled to do so here because of how awesome it is.I was struggling with the network speed on my earlier D-Link DIR 816 modem, and kept complaining to my ISP (ACT) about the constant speed drops and outages. They insisted that it was an issue with the router I had, but I didn’t quite believe them. I recently upgraded my package to a 250 MBPS one, and still got only about 30-40 MBPS, and so I decided to try changing my router. After checking out several options, I went with TP-Link Archer C6 (my ISP recommended Archer C5), and by am I happy with the purchase! It is easy to install, and TP-Link ensures that it has a lot of intuitive features. For instance, it gives you the option to retain the same connection name and password for both the 2.4 and 5 GHz connections, thereby automatically choosing the best available connection for your device(s).I also has an app for easy installation, setting changes and troubleshooting, though I haven’t tried that. I preferred getting it done using my laptop, and it worked perfectly fine on both Windows and Mac. I did the complete setup wirelessly. There is even an option to connect it via ethernet to your old router, to just automatically transfer all your older settings! How cool is that!Since installation, I have been constantly getting downloads speeds of 240+ MBPS and upload speeds of 260+ MBPS. And that is more that I could ask for. The ceiling for 2.4 GHz seems to be 300 MPBS and that for 5 GHz seems to be 1000 MBPS. That is definitely more than what I will need for a few years at least. I live an ~1,800 sqft apartment, and have the router more or less placed in the middle. The signal needs to travel past 1 or 2 walls in most cases, and I still get consistent speeds of over 200 MBPS when I am about 25-30 feet away, with 2 walls in between. Attaching a Speed Test image for reference, taken from the bedroom located farthest away from the modem.I haven’t tried customer support yet, as I didn’t need it. I bought the product for 2,499, and I couldn’t possibly be happier with the purchase.

Little improvement so buy only if you dont have router or previous one is broken/not working
I can recommend only if you are looking to buy one because you dont have one or the old is not working. My old router was working but there were some areas in the apartment where range wont come. So i bought this router with 4 antenna, thinking it will extend my range drastically compared to my old router with 2 antenna. It did improve a bit but not as expectations. Range seems to be improved by 7-8 feet. Right now it is barely covering my entire apartment. My older router was not covering couple of rooms (internet was available just inside door) now with new one it is covering but say on device i see now 2 Wifi lines compared to earlier 0.

Good router. I don’t really use it tbh because the router from my ISP works just as well. However, this router itself is good. Has all the premium features, supports both 2.5GHz as well as 5GHz wifi bands. Go for it if you’re in the market for a decent router.

Good router
This TP link Archer AC1200 Archer C6 purchased recently and installed. the installation is very easy. It gives 5G speed when the router is placed near PC. if we use Wi-Fi at another room then the speed comes down to 2.4 ghz. But what i noticed was my earlier router with 2.4 GHZ never get interrupted in between and gives constant. But this router is getting fluctuate and signal getting interrupted and we need to login once again. The speed is good compare to dlink 2.4 GHZ router but only if placed near by. With distance of 10 feet it shows lesser speedSince only 15 days gone . Lets see in long run and comment on issue

I used many 3 routers previously under 1500 budget but they caused lag when more than 3 devices connected same time but now no issues even when connecting 10-12 devices. great wifi router at this price point
This is a great value product at this price point.Initially I have had a problem getting 1gbps speed which is why I bought this router – as an upgrade to existing router. But the problem was not with the router but with the Cat6 connector. Once the connector was replaced, I have no other problems.Quick setup mode is very efficient. Build quality is good and so are the looks (not that it matters, but hey why not?)I am using this router as an Access Point along and I get speed upto 220-230 mbs download and upload. I am sure it can work with more speed but unfortunately my broadband is capped at 200mbps connection. But I tested speed at LAN and no problem for upto 1gbps transfer. No heating problems so far. Strong signal as intended. Easy to manage.Bonus: This router comes with home-mesh functionality. So if I have additional of these or supported models, i can have a full home-mesh network with high signal strength and at much lower costs in comparison.

Negative reviewers
I am not trying to hurt or say that those who have gave a negative review are lying or anything, even after reading negative reviews I still buyer the product, and got a good product, good range, speed , easy to install and nice connectivity, and if you are thinking for buying it then I will say go for it and of your network provider is giving you more than 25 mbps of speed or atleast 25mbps go for this router, and tell the provider to provide you with a gigabyte pin on the fiber wire for good speed this is must, thank you for reading, hope you buy it……

Use it only as Primary router or immediate router next to your ISP’s router
Pros :1. All features as expected , this model have two versions on TP link website , i have received v3 as part of delivery.1. Speed on duel band as expected.2. Easy to setup and in v3 version LEDs are placed in such a way that they dont interfare with view.Cons:This can not be used in big netwrok setup , let me explain1. I have my primary router by my ISP(airtel) which is duel bank Nokia router and I am extending the wifi courage using LAN port of that router i.e usin it as secondary router, so when my setup is Primary Nokia router—->LAN output conection—-> TP link archer A6 , then all works fine , whenpower goes on primary or there is some issue with ISP side , then as soon as power comes or connectivity is back , then this TP link router also comes online without any issue. But if i use it as thirst router , so setup is : Primary Nokia router—–>LAN connection—>Another TP link router or SWITCH——> LAN output from switch/second router—-> TP link archer A6 ,In above setup , this works well when you setup , but if power goes or there is even short time outage from ISP and when power comes back , then this router never comes online .I always have to reboot it to get it online , though IP address , subnet etc are all fine and shows as expected.Firmwaye is already latest. This issue is in both router & accep point mode , I also tried manually assining IP within subnet range but that also doest help , and as soon as power goes or primary / secondary router is down for a second , this one never comes back without reboot. Thus If you have a huge setup or multi floor house or many other routers , this can only be used as primary or just imidiate secondary to ISP provided router , otherwise you will have to restart it every now and then.

First Class Router! No other router as best as this
Initially I bought the D-Link R15 AX1500 Eagle PRO AI Dual-Band Smart Router, that was a disaster. Got extremely annoyed with DLink as the new router was not working at all. Tech support was also very bad.I returned the DLink, and bought this TPLINK. Best decision of my life with the routers. It connected instantly, works like magic. i have an 870 sq ft house, with many walls, yet I always get full network across the flat, and even outside.Dont even think twice, i have never been so happy with any of my previous WIFI routers, (i have used MI, Tenda, DLink before)Thank you TP Link!

The 2.4Ghz signal works well and the range is also large. Its perfect for big homes and budget friendly. The 5Ghz signal works well nearby on the same floor. The speed and performance of the router is very nice and upto expectations.Suggestions: Keep both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequency seperate. Auto switching causes speed issues.

I bought this router for better connectivity since I moved a larger house. The ISP provided modem+router does not provide good coverage. I’ve put the modem in bridge mode and configured the Archer C6 to connect to internet in few mins. That’s it now the performance over 5G band is amazing, even when the signal strength is not full, the speed is still high enough that you don’t even notice it. And the UI is very user freindly as well.

Good Speeds and Sturdy Build but needs Software Improvements
Having burnt my fingers with a single band Mi Router 3C, I decided to double my budget and go for a decent router from a reputed brand. I have been using TP Link’s Wifi adapter for years so it was a natural choice. Eventually I settled for the C6 as the A6 offered no additional features and C80 and higher had a significantly higher price.Anyhow this is my initial review, which I will update if anything changes -Build – Decent Quality. It’s entirely plastic but looks durable. The shiny top surface is a finger magnet but then you won’t be handling your router everyday. It is very light and can be balanced on narrow surfaces. Antennas are sturdy and maintain position if the router is moved or shaken quickly.Rating – 5/5Setup – A bit tricky, this one. I’m on a Static IP FTTH connection so I assumed juet inputing values (IP, Gateway, Subnet, etc) will do the trick. However, it did not. Had to call up customer care and they asked me to change the Primary DNS. From experience I believe there was a MAC lock involved which they unlocked during the call but I can’t be sure. Anyway it took about an hour and half to set every thing up. This isn’t TP-LINK’s fault. What is their fault is that MAC spoofing doesn’t seem to work. So if your ISP isn’t responding you may be stuck.Rating – 4/5Range and Signal Strength – Both are miles ahead of my 3C. I have a three storied house with thick 45-year old brick walls. Even on the third storey (with router on the ground floor) I could get a signal. Not possible with my 3c. Of course it’s the 2.4GHz one and not 5Ghz but it’s there.Speed wise 5GHz is the king snd everyone knows that. Within the room and in the next room it works pretty good. Beyond that 2.4GHz seems to work well. One grouse I have is that “Smart” Connection isn’t good. Smart allows your device to connect based on the connection that gets the highest speed in that range. But with Smart on my adapter (from the same brand) gave miserable 560Kbps speeds on a 130Mbps connection. This with the adapter stuck to the computer on which the router was placed.Separating the two bands by turning off Smart resulted in a huge improvement. 2.4GHz gives up to 80 Mbps in the same room while 5Ghz gives the full 130Mbps. One floor above I get 30-40Mbps. On the second floor it falls to 10-12Mbps.So the antenna and radio are great, but the software needs to be improved.Rating – 4/5Bells and Whistles – The router boasts of MU-MIMO and beam forming. Turning the former on improved my connection speed and stability by around 5-10% on the ground and first floors. Beyond that no noticeable difference could be felt.Haven’t tried other features like VPN etc.Rating – 5/5Conclusion – Compared to the 3C this router actually allows me to enjoy the FTTH speeds I pay for. The hardware is impeccable and sturdy. The software is useful but needs some back end tweaking in the “Smart” department. That aside it’s one of the most VFM routers under 3K for anyone with a 100Mbps connection or higher.Overall Rating – 4.5/5

!!!!BEST ROUTER UNDER 2.5k!!!! TP-Link Archer C6 v3.2US
Edit*After 1.5Months usage, do not see any difference in performance still at top notch, and I’d advise you use Smartconnect feature to for easier wifi set up and connectivity and keeep airtime fairness off and traffic monitor off too unless you wanna monitor how much data each device use which will put a bit load on processorGot my package delivered as promised within 2days in non prime.First impression, been using it for last one day and here’s my conclusion.Pro’s* Connectivity is awesome, no signal drops and no connection breaks, 4 antenna with beamforming that too around multiple wifi signals.* Getting full bandwidth speeds within a wall apart and a lil more than half bandwidth speed over two walls separated by 10feet and total distance of 16feet.* Connects blazing fast and covers upto 3floor of 10feet height each, router is placed middle floor and signals reached two floor below and top of terrace , that is like 2 floors and with low latency and 25MBps of my 50MPbs connection.* Easier to use and set up and can be managed by Tp-Link Tether App* Seller is selling US version 3.2, didnt see any issue so far* Dual core processor and with over 6 devices , usage doesnt go over 50% which is good as it won’t reboot of hang router and memory usage is also stable.Cons* I felt it takes few seconds extra to configure and reboot but its not a big issue being such a stable router.* Supports latest Mesh Technology BUT requires compatible router/extenders only and list is available in Tp-Link website aswell.* Power adaptor is 2 pin which is quite okay but might be irritating to some people. That’s all for now, will check back for feedback after a month of usage and lets see.Overall I’d recommend to go for bit without any hesitation.Note: Do remember to change timezone to India and Smartconnect. Do not turn on Airtime Fairness (Personal Recommendation)

Signal range and speeds are just amazing!
I previously used dlink dir615 single band router which is not good for medium sized houses after switch to this tplink archer c6 which excellent in signal range + great speeds.Pros:-1. True 1gbps lan port,2. 5Ghz range also good fills my half medium sized house, 2.4Ghz is next level covers my full house with full signal,3. For gaming use 5Ghz my internet plan is 20mbps but i am getting 20-40ms in pubg which is great, in 2.4Ghz i am getting 25-70ms,4. Good one for future proofing real life speeds are 500mbps on 5Ghz, 150-200mbps on 2.4Ghz,5. Even my single band devices getting lag free internet compared to my old router,6. I am using since 3-4months no issue whats so ever,7. Only buy if ur home have 5 or more wifi devices, single band and other routers under 1500-2k bottleneck if u connect more devices, Archer A6 or C6 can easily handle upto 10-20 devices without lag,8. Even i am using 20mbps internet connection this router managing it so well, in future i will try to upgrade to 50-150mbps plansCons:-1. Some people are complaining about after updating router it’s unstable but i updated this router and reseted, no issues in speeds and in range,2. Price is little high on normal days like 2499, on sale days its 2199 i bought in sale days at that price amazing deal best future proof router,3. Mu-mimo, beam forming is turned off by default u need to turn it on in webpages (in the tether app it’s missing) after turning it one 2.4Ghz speeds increased little bit,4. This router has specs like archer A6 but C6 is 1year old ones compared to A6 (they just confusing with names)That last it’s good competition to dlink dir 825, tenda ac8.

Best Router review after 6 months. Now it is stop working.
After 6 months router performance was nice, now I am facing one issue i.e. disconnected network both wired and wifi for 5 to 6 sec.and frequency 10to 12 time of a day. I have one more router with me and it is working fine with sam network. This issue is only for this router and i checked with network operator he said the same issue is facing 5-6 people s with same router. Pls don’t buy this router.

Worth every penny
I bought this router for better connectivity since I moved a larger house. The ISP provided modem+router does not provide good coverage. I’ve put the modem in bridge mode and configured the Archer C6 to connect to internet in few mins. That’s it now the performance over 5G band is amazing, even when the signal strength is not full, the speed is still high enough that you don’t even notice it. And the UI is very user freindly as well.

Is it worth it? Oh yes!
I’ve used this router for about six months and haven’t had any issues whatsoever. The setup/installation was simple, easy & fast.I use this router for gaming, streaming services & browsing on the net. It’s more than enough for me since my internet package is 300mbps(Upload/download). In games, it’s been perfect, especially with “QoS” enabled(bandwidth capped @100mbps), and I’ve experienced no buffering while streaming. You can also manage all devices connected to the router and set “High Priority” on them; this is also good for gaming. There are many other valuable features(with the Tether app) that you can tweak to your liking!Overall, I’d recommend this to my friends, and I have done so.I’ve provided some screenshots for more clarity.

Worth the upgrade!
I’ve had D-Link routers since 5-6 years they were reliable with my ACT fibernet as I did not have heavy usage on Wi-Fi and was using lan cable for work I was planning and holding on to upgrade to a Mesh router. Since last month I started facing issues with wifi coverage and had unstable connection so after some research I postponed my plans to buy a Mesh router (I didn’t find any in my budget) and went with this router. The installation was seamless there’s an app for it. The coverage is great, it switches it’s bands depending on the distance of your device. Even with my two old D-Link routers I never had this much coverage. The speeds on wifi reach 140+ Mbps easily. I was able to bridge my old D-Link router as a repeater just to get the coverage to every nook and corner. It has 4 lan ports with gigabit support, This even has Mesh tech so you can buy more such routers and add them to the same Mesh (don’t know how that works) but always good to have that option. Definitely go for it.

One of the best routers in this segment
Writing this review after 6months of usage.Absolutely loved the speed it delivers. No issues on connectivity and speeds front. Easy to install and manage with the Tether app.Two issues I have noticed though which I didn’t see any review mentioning. The boot time is a bit too much I felt. The overall delay it takes to boot and connect is a noticeable one. It shouldn’t bother you if you have stable power source. Also, it does disconnect and reconnect sometimes if there are any slight voltage fluctuations. Ideally I would expect this voltage regulation to happen to take care of this. Then again, it shouldn’t be much of an issue as it happens once in a while.Pros definitely outweigh the cons in this case.

Reasonable
I have been using TPlink 300 Mbps Router for more than 5 years. Recently it started to give inconsistent connectivity and considered Archer C6 as an upgrade. Installation was pretty much straight forward and easy. Just keep your internet service provider account details and password ready before commencing the installation.# Awesome speed if it is in line-of-sight at about 20 to 30 feet. I could get 144 Mbps Upload and 124 Mbps Down load speed. I use ACT direct FTH link.# Speed drops by 75% to 85% for devices located just a floor above. Hence, landed up using TP-Link repeaters. Yet could not see much improvement.# Dual channel setup works fine# Lots of You tube content available to catch up any specific configurations. Like I used the old Router to setup as a WDS bridge.# Happy with the purchase and price paid for it.# 3 stars as it did not really meet the requirements for extended connectivity between floors. If I consider for a single floor connectivity – it deserves 5 stars and more!

Excellent offering from TP-Link
My ISP provided modem-router combo is in another location in the house, and I was getting speed drops on 5 Ghz when I was across the house [as was expected]. So, I decided to buy this router to use as an access point. The setup is pretty straightforward, provided you know what you are doing. As is mentioned on the product page, this router comes with two modes — router mode and access point mode. If you are using it in addition to your ISP provided modem-router, I would suggest using it in the access point mode only. The range and the speeds are working better than I expected for the price — certainly better than the router that the ISP provides. The router does come with a LAN cable, but the quality of the cable is not very confidence inspiring. The LEDs on the front can be configured via the Tether app to switch off at specific times, which is a neat feature. Apart from that, I have found Tether app to be pretty useless. It doesn’t specify the device identity for some reason, just shows the IP and “unknown”, until you rename the device yourself. Sometimes it doesn’t even list all the devices connected. I guess it is better to use the router settings from the browser itself if you want to dig into the settings.I would like to add one more thing in the end. This router looks pretty slick, and I don’t think it has gotten enough credits for that. Kept on the table, or even hung from the wall, it looks and feels premium for the price — and that is in addition to all the amazing features it has.

Excellent item
This router is excellent, packed with brand new features. It is a Wi-Fi 5 router and it is backward compatible with Wi-Fi 6 mesh networks. The standout feature for me was the ability to merge SSIDs and seamlessly switch between the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands based on speed and device distance. With a single SSID and password, both bands are merged into the same broadcasting network, and it has been a game changer for me. The convenience of having one unified network with optimal performance across devices is truly awesome. Overall, it’s a reliable and feature-rich router that has exceeded my expectations considering its price of 2.5K.

Great router for plans 750 Mbps or less and home area is 1200 sq.ft or less
Before I describe the router and its benefits I need to describe our home and it’s area and also the Internet plan we have. We live in a 2 BHK apartment with approx 1200 sq ft and have lived here for 4 years. When we moved in we took an ACT incredible plan with 150Mbps download speed which ACT then upgraded to ACT lightning plan with 250 Mbps free of cost a year later and now we have ACT advance received as a free upgrade almost a year ago. This one is supposed to give us about 400 Mbps but we have only been receiving 150 to 170 Mbps around about. So I understood that I need a router upgrade from my old D-link dual band to another, and that’s when I found out about Archer C6. After reading and watching reviews comparing it to A6 and Tenda AC10, and also consulting with our ACT technician I decided to go for the C6. It’s been 10 days and it’s been a better streaming, downloading and WFH experience throughout the home.Though the C6 has dual bands, you can set to autodetect the faster band depending on your location of in your home. For us, we found out that C6 covers the entire home with the 5G band itself as I could receive approximately 300 Mbps in the living room and 200 Mbps in the bedroom next to it and about 100 to 170 Mbps in our Master bedroom and the bathroom attached which are behind 2 walls. And when I tested the 2.4 G Hz in these farthest locations, it only gave me 5 to 15Mbps which means if this band has to give me better speed , I had to farther away i.e I need to step out of my apt and walk the corridor towards the elevator and check if the 2.4 G Hz works there. But that’s a curiosity for another day but I hope this helped youunderstand the range this router gives and also with the MU-MIMO technology, my wife and I aren’t complaining about signal loss to each other anymore. After this upgrade I also understood that that I need to ask ACT to upgrade the RJ45 cable that connects from the wall. That will help us boost the signal to another 50 tom70 Mbps which will take our speed to about 370Mbps and this router is very much capable of that since since its top speed in 5G is up to 867 Mbps and 2.4 G is up to 300.P.S: please have the router connected through a UPS and not directly to the power source since power fluctuations and outages are common in India, the ups protects the router and helps us have a seamless work/browsing experience when the apt changes the power source to “backup power” when there is power outage in your area

What a Beast !!!
It was time to replace my dlink n300 router as it had started playing up. Changed to C6 after contemplating and comparing a lot of models. Models which were in the race were Tenda ac1200 and Tplink c1200 along with Tplink c5.(1) Tenda’s interface seems to be buggy with a lot of spelling errors and lack of good after sales support as per the reviews tilted the scale in Tplink favour. Among the three listed models, this one seems to be the latest and a hot favourite of a lot of online reviewers. Hence, a decision was made.(2) The setup was a breeze. Took me literally 2-4 minutes to set it up and it was blazing away. The companion app is an amazing add-on .(3) Mi-mo is an advanced technology which helps if you have a lot of devices trying to connect with the router.(4) It is a dual band router. Remember that 2 ghz offers you great range but slower speed and 5 ghz has amazing speed but low coverage range. I have a 75 Mbps connection. On a wireless connection, I am getting 45 Mbps on 2.4 ghz and 70 Mbps on 5 ghz, if I’m sitting close to the router. The speed does decrease a little in the next room but barely noteable. Now comes the best part , I’m getting full signal bars on 5 ghz in my bedroom which is approx 20 feet away from the router. I have connected my bedroom firetv on 5 ghz and now able to play 4k resolution videos without buffering pauses. To give you an example – i was able to download Asphalt 9 which is 1.82 gb on my One plus 6t in about 7 minutes i think. My entire house is covered well with either of the two bands. Full marks on this !(5) Delivery was a breeze . Received the router within a day.Conclusion- Go for it without a doubt if you have an above 50 Mbps connection and want a good speed with amazing coverage. It was my first day and i am 200% satisfied with the performance. Will need to gauge it’s performance over a period of time to see how it fares. Please upvote if my review was of some help to you.

Adequate router with decent performance
Ordered the first time, sold by Appario, and received a V2.0 (EU) Archer C6. Spoke to customer care, got a replacement ordered. It arrived the next day, a V3.2 (US) Archer C6, again sold by Appario. I don’t know if it was dumb luck or if customer care was able to put in a note or something for the fulfillment center but I can confirm that you can get a V3.2 (US) Archer C6 if in case any of you received an older version. V3.2 (US) is 30% smaller than V2.0, has the same 4 external and 1 internal antennas and has One Mesh features advertised on the box. You can see the visual differences between the 2 versions on TP-Link’s website. As far as the performance and features are concerned, at this price, this is probably the best option for most people who want a set it and forget it WiFi router. There’s no USB port and not a lot in the way of advanced bandwidth management or steering. It does have MU-MIMO and you have the option of simplifying your home WiFi into broadcasting just 1 SSiD (the router decides between the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz band) or choosing to broadcast two distinct SSiDs.A word to the wise: try placing the router in a location where the router can have line of sight to most places you use WiFi from. It’s not easy but well worth the effort.

Perfect device multiple devices, a little complex to setup. Works like a charm
With all possible fear and doubts I bought this router. I already had a tplink c20 which works like a charm. But my secondary router which was MI 3c stopped working which was used as a repeater. I wanted a router which I could use as a repeater or as wifi extender with my existing tplink c20. This router doesn’t have a straightforward mentioning about using it as a wifi repeater or extender but it does have the WDS capability. It took me 15 mins to figure out where the WDS enabling option was situated, after that I tried to set it up as a repeater or extender and it took me 3 hours and believe me I thought I was a techie. It could be tricky to setup but after a good amount of googling I found a blog on the tplink website that explains about setting up WDS. It took some time, but finally things were up and running.Performance is great , I could run full HD videos on 3 devices parallely. And even use 3 phones in parallel on a 43 Mbps speed 50 Mbps plan.Works like a charm,, if you are someone who can setup things by yourself after googling stuff and are looking for running media on multiple devices parallely then go for it.Or else buy a tplink c20 which is smooth as butter to setup using the mobile tether app.

US 3.20 version – Average router if you don’t know how to install OpenWrt firmware
Pros:1. It does support most protocols for VPN.2. If you are techy, can install OpenWrt firmware and overcome all the default restrictions mentioned in cons.Cons:1. The router out of the box works as intended, however misses extra channels 12 to 14 due to legal compliance.2. Also one another important feature that I really miss in C6 model firmware is to check the signal quality strength of various WiFi devices connected from the router GUI interface. I am using D-Link 825 Gigabit router as well which has this feature. It really helps multi-story homes to try different antenna positions and channels to assess in real-time how it affects the signal strength of connected devices.

Cheapest and the most feature rich router in this segment.
Bought 2 of them back to back. Wait and watch and you may catch a deal up to INR 2249.Reliable and easy to setup. You can pretty much just forget about it after the initial setup. Has everything you could wish for as a home user.Nit picks :1) A mobile friendly UI for management or a dedicated app (which actually works) would have been nice.2) One-Mesh feature should be enabled between 2 routers. Bought the second one hoping it would work but sadly it doesn’t.Tip:- DO NOT sign up with tp-link account for the app. Provides no features at all. Web management has it all.Overall:If you want a reliable router and have a budget of upto 3500-4000, go for this one. It punches way above it’s weight class. If you can spend a bit more then going for ASUS maybe a better choice for their robust AI Mesh system, better UI and monitoring, app support and better performance in general.

Well firstly i would say that reviews reading stuff like u cant broadband lan cables like alliance, siti etc are absolutely wrong. I am using alliance broadband on my router and works fine. U just Gotta use static ip and call up ur isp and ask the dns and the adresses which u will be asked during internet connection. Thw wifi signal is good, reaches till the end of my 3 bhk from the hall. The only problem is if u sit in front f it the signal weakens a lot. Rest seems good. Easy to install use tether app. It has an internal antenna as the box says and tp link customer support is always there. The design is amazing and if u want something that looks good, then this is something to purchase. The 1 star was lost for the wifi signal issue mentioned above. Rest is good

Overall OK…if your requirements are not advanced!
It’s good if we see it as basic/semi advanced router. Overall 6-7 pts out of 10. Looking at the cost, it’s very good.5 GHz coverage is very short, should have been better. 2.4 Ghz is decent. Wifi schedule is cool feature. Gig ports do justice. 4 external antenas (should have been replaceable). Sleek design.Booting takes long time. Got V3.2. Sleek but I will ask TPLink for better design in terms of status lights size, position and visibility. If we plan to wall mount this model then almost no chance to get view of status lights. Coming to features, though list of options shows multiple advanced areas, they are much controlled by the firmware for effective configuration/utilization. like QoS….Even a very basic router is having individual device bandwidth control option but this doesn’t have. Not sure what challenge TPLink is having in providing such things in one go. I hope the hardware is capable and in coming updates TPLink provides full feature set utilization options considering the customer requests.

It’s good but will be best after some mentioned suggestions.
Tp link (Archer Ac1200 C6) must provide in next update to automatically on / off router for bedtime electromagnetic wave control,Other suggestion :Under parents control blocking categories should be available i.e. social networking, news & media, etc.Under App speed check should be available.Under App app no option available to refresh/ boost the speed of connection,Looking forward for these features in next update, by adding these features company can lead in the industry & market share will increase

Product is excellent but customer support is horrific
Loved the router. Very strong 2.4G channel range and pretty decent 5G coverage. Pretty simple to setup and install. It was able to provide me internet speeds greater than what I actually paid for so that’s really funny. But when I say the after sales customer support is pathetic, it really is. My router’s Ethernet WAN port got damaged after 5 months of purchase because of intense lightning storm. I tried to reach out to TP-Link via email two times but no response. Service center phone numbers listed on the site are out of service. TP-Link customer support was not able to provide much help to hold any ground either.Really capable value for money product but if after sales service is bad, then it’s not really worth it. It’s upto you.

Final choice was TPlink archer C6 and Tenda AC10 watched couple of videos . Came to the conclusion to buy this router. Range is good for a 2bhk flat with router kept in the middle. It does get heated after few hours of usage. Installation was very easy. Technical support for TPlink India wasn’t technically sound. Overall good router for 2349₹

Tech support and customer service should get a negative rating it’s that worst!!!!!!
Product was purchased and we realised that it doesn’t detect 5G. struggling to get a response from the customer care they finally confirmed that product needs to be exchanged. BTW you need to visit their service centre to exchange the faulty device and heights is they are not available on weekends. If you want to save yourself from frustration DO NOT BUY TPLINK PRODUCT

Good Router with some limitations to understand
The wifi router should be placed at a place where it is reachable to complete house. It is observed that, the signals from this wifi router are not crossing the wall boundaries effectively. The wireless speed of the router is also depend upon how effectively the incoming fiber optic gives the speed from broadband provider.Overall, the wifi router is good for 4 points out of 5.

Best Budget Gigabit Dual-Band Router
*TLDR;* Best budget gigabit dual-band router that’s also quite easy to install and use. The Tether app works surprisingly well and you really just need the app to set everything up. The downside is that it takes FOREVER to boot and runs a little too hot for my liking.*NOTE: DO NOT GET THE ARCHER C60*. If you have >100 Mbps plans, this is what you need. Otherwise, make sure the *WAN port supports gigabit speeds*. Don’t think that 1200 Mbps means it will work with your JioFi/FTTH connections.*Why did I get this?:*Wanted something cheap for my WFH setup at home and had bought the same one for my flat. It seemed to handle me and my mates’ work+streaming+gaming pretty well so decided to buy the same and not overthink too much. I must say that for this price, considering the alternatives, this one is pretty good. I have a 200Mbps FTTH connection and the router is able to deliver to about 6-8 devices connected to it on average.*The irritating bits:*I know that at this price, you really don’t see anything better but this definitely has its limits. For starters, it takes extremely long to boot-up. This doesn’t happen all that often since router is on 24*7 but when it does, I really wanna throw it out. Second, it runs pretty hot. Not a huge deal since it so far hasn’t caused a serious performance degradation for me. It’s also quite slow to re-connect sometimes on failing to authenticate via PPPoE (seemed to work fine when you’re getting a direct ethernet connection instead of the cable TV provider workaround I have). I also wish the signal strength was a bit better but for the price, well, you gotta adjust. If you have an existing, supported TP-Link device, you can mesh them together so that’s nice.

First impression went wrong but not second
I am changing my review from 1* to 4*. It was my local ISP mistake as previous router MAC address was bounded in their system which wasn’t letting me to configure this device. They made me realize that product is faulty, however TP link customer service also told me that product is faulty where in the problem was with the MAC address. I resolved this issue on my own spending hours on Internet, then got to solution of MAC cloning. I deducted 1* as product has heating issues and takes time to reboot but as far as coverage and features like MIMO, Gigabit is concern is superb. I also tried Alexa skills but they are limited. Post activation, I used it for hours without any issue except heating issue which seems OK as it has GHZ processor.

Good router, easy to use, provides strong signal
This is a perfect device for my requirements. My 1800 sqft house had several dead zones and since I take office calls even while in the washroom which is located at one corner, having a device that sends a good signal all around the house was necessary.I use a 75 Mbps connection and due to the 5Ghz bandwidth that this router offers, I get not less than 65-70 Mbps on my laptop or mobile phone. The user interface of the router is extremely easy to use and anyone without any technical knowledge will be able to set up the router. Its 4 antennas throw signal all around and even vertically. My router is placed in the attic of the ground floor and I’m able to take WhatsApp calls at the terrace, i.e. 2nd floor, around 12 meters distant from the router. One drawback, however, is that the signal gets weak at the diagonally opposite corners of the terrace(and first floor) but that’s expected I think.Overall I’m quite satisfied with the device because I was using TP-Link 300 Mbps router for years and it was proving to be inefficient.I use a local fibre internet, not Jio/Airtel and since both the ISPs provide their own router, I can’t advise if this router will work with Jio or Airtel fibre connections.

Fast speed internet router. Range is okayish, not that great for a 2k router. Major issue is 2 different band of internet, but the switch isn’t seamless. You get 2 wifi signals. And you yourself have to select the one you want to use. If you go away from the router, the fast link wifi struggles and you have to shift to other wifi just to be in range.

Best Dual Band Gigabit router. Read this review before buying any router
I have been using a 2.4 GHz router with a 40 Mbps internet connection and used to wonder why I’m not getting the speeds close to 40 Mbps. Upon research got to know that 2.4 GHz router with 10/100 Mbps port can only cater speeds up to 50 Mbps, which is theoretical but practically we can get speeds up to 30 Mbps in the vicinity of the router. Also these 2.4 GHz routers have a range up to 70-80 feet, so if you are living in an apartment there is high probability of intercepting with other routers’ signal. This will cause the connection drops abruptly and will be a pain if you use internet based audio/video calls frequently.Solution to this problem is a Dual Band Router which has two frequencies 5 GHz with small range (20-30 feet) and 2.4 GHz with relatively big range (70-80 feet).10/100 Mbps port on 5 GHz frequency can cater speeds up to 100 Mbps but range is limited so that it will not interfere with other frequencies. So you will get uninterrupted internet with high speeds (you must have an internet connection of 100 Mbps to make full use of dual band routers).10/100 Mbps on 2.4 GHz frequency can cater speeds up to 30 Mbps with a relatively high range compared to 5 GHz.So if you are having an internet connection of 100 Mbps it’s advisable to have a dual band router to take full advantage of your internet speed. If you have an internet connection of more than 100 Mbps speed then you should consider a dual band gigabit router to make full use of your internet plan.Dual Band routers with 10/100 Mbps port can only cater speeds up to 100 Mbps, whereas a Dual Band Gigabit router can cater speeds up to 867 Mbps (5 GHz) and 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) as they have 10/100/1000 Mbps ports. Although these are theoretical values, we can expect the speeds up to 600 Mbps (5 GHz) and 80 Mbps (2.4 GHz).After knowing all this I decided to go for a Dual Band Gigabit router although I upgraded my internet connection to 100 Mbps only just to be future ready and I’m completely happy about my decision. So I bought TP-Link AC1200 C6 Gigabit router with MU-MIMO technology.I have been using it for about a week now and I’m getting speeds up to 60 Mbps on 5 GHz at any corner of my 1200 sqft flat. I’m getting speeds up to 97 Mbps in living room where I placed the router. This router has one 10/100/1000 Mbps WAN port and four 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN ports. We can download Tether app and configure/manage the router from it.Pros:1. It’s a Dual Band Gigabit router with one WAN and four LAN Gigabit ports that can cater speeds up to 600 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 80 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.2. Its 5 GHz frequency band is sufficient for a 2/3 BHK apartments (1200-1500 sqft)3. Can configure/manage router through Tether app on mobile4. Guest network can be configured5. It’s a OneMesh device and works well with other OneMesh devices such as range extenders for a big house.6. It has parental controls7. It has smart connect and if you enable it, the router itself will determine whether your device is 5 GHz compatible or not and provide the speeds accordingly. There is no need to configure two SSIDs for 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz separately.8. Alexa compatible with smart life assistant9. Can enable VPN services10. QOS enabled router (need to enable it manually post router configuration)11. It can be used as a wireless router as well as an Access Point too12. It has security features such as blocking a certain device13. IPV6 compatible and can setup custom MAC too using MAC Clone feature14. NAT Forwarding available on this router15. Can define a reboot schedule and can monitor Traffic statistics too16. Can do various advanced level administration such as Time settings, LED control, Diagnostics, Firmware upgrade, System Log, etc.17. Latest MU-MIMO technology enabled routerCons:No USB drive, but it is a no big deal for me

Good dual band router
This is a good dual band router. Earlier I was using 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands separately, but now I connected to smart connect. All my devices connect from all corners of my flat at the 5 GHz channel. Even though, I have a 300 MBPS connection. I get that on my desktop PC, which is connected to the router via the gigabit LAN port, but the devices connected through WiFi get around 200 to 250 MBPS. I am happy with that, as I don’t see any delays or stuttering. I am regularly working from home due to pandemic and my son also does his online classes at the same time by my desktop all at the same time. The MIMO technology is a plus as per me. It really helps increase the speed of each connected devices and reduces delay to a significant amount.Only downside is that the boot time is quite long and if rebooted, takes at least 3 to 4 minutes to come back online on WiFi and provide internet services.I will recommend this router to others.

Router with excellent performance for a 1300Sqft flat.
I was forced to buy this router on urgency after my Dlink EXO router malfunctioned and it was a good decision.- The setup was easy, has a lil more options to configure compared to my Dlink.- Wifi signal is good. I have placed this router in center of the flat. 5GHz signal works best if within <3 meter range from the router. TV Streaming and download of large files over laptop is seamless.- 2.5GHz Signal works well across all rooms though I felt it was less than my Dlink EXO but good enough as I have connectivity in every corner of my home. My neighbors on floor above mine too can connect and they do whatsapp video calls without any lag, cheeky people :D.- Option to setup a guest connection and availability timing for the same is a welcome feature.- Option to seamlessly setup this router as secondary access point is also excellent.- There is no heating or performance lags whatsoever when multiple devices are connected and usage is being done at the same time.- I used this router for both ACT and Excitel and this works fine for both providers.Update July 2023: This router fails in consistent streaming test, If you connect your TV to WiFi, you may experience intermittent buffering of Netflix and Youtube.I tested it on two different smart TVs, and the issue persists. In the living room, the router is kept right next to the TV.However It works well with laptops and a variety of other devices.

Got this router for my children. The router looks compact and elegant though not too sturdy, it is lightweight. Signal strength is good and easily accomplishes the speeds generated by the ISP. TP-Link is a good brand and seems to favor ACT.

Good. But not best.
Likes* Very compact*Easy to configure*Consistent*Good coverage if it is same floorDislikes*Coverage is not good between floors. D-Link is best. Even my ground floor router covers first floor in 2.4GHz band. But vice versa is not covering.*No light blinking on led indicators for LAN and Wifi is transferring data. So if any issues identifying is hard in this. But D-Link does. It Binks while working and turns off on error or cable loose connectionMy order of choice1. D-Link2. TP link3. LinkSys

Awesome product
I bought this product because I faced lot of issues like loss of internet signal and low speed in my previous router. Coming to this router, actually they are displaying one kind of router (design) and I got the router with different design. Anyways the configuration, prrice, model etc everything was same. I installed it and I’m really loving it because my internet is 75Mbps and with this router I’m getting 72-73 Mbps on wifi connection which was shocking. I thought I’m might be getting atleast 40-50 Mbps but this is killing. And then I connected to PC through LAN and the speed decreased to 70Mbps. I strongly recommend this product who needs a good wifi speed and it is also budget friendly product.

The budget best gigabit router
Archer c6 is the best budget gigabit router. Tp-link is a reliable brand and their software support is good. Perhaps the only issue I have with model is boot up time. It takes upto a full minute to start. That’s the only con. It supports both 2.4 and 5ghz Bands and range is excellent. Don’t cheap out on router. Even if you have a smaller plan it is a good idea to invest in a router that’s future proof.

Quick setup and seamless connectivity
I switched to this from DLink 605 so it is a massive upgrade.I realised I was under utilising my Internet package. 5G is seamless and amazing speed. No disconnections and increased speed. Yes the 5G does get weaker as you go farther but that’s how it works, connect to the 2.4G if you are farther. My router is placed in ground floor and I can easily access without reduced speeds two floors up with 2-3 walls.5G works through 1 wall without problems.I have multiple devices connected at a time, 3 laptops, 4 mobiles, firestick and an iPad and I see no problems with speed or buffering.Videos stream well dont see any dropped connection in VPN or during my work calls.I was skeptic as I only used belkin, Netgear and d link routers earlier, this time To link Archer C6 works like a charm. Easy setup through tether app.Only con is the time it takes to boot. Better have a UPD connected so you don’t have this concern.
