Keeps 65w cpu’s cool enoughSeriously, no reason for this not to be pwm..Makes a noticeable whine, that would easily be managed and fixed if fan was true pwm.The whine isn’t a deal breaker, but no being pwm is just sillyShould you buy this?As an improvement over a intel stock cooler or amd stealth?Intel: Yea, looks better, and slightly better cooling.(on 65w tdp cpus)Amd: Unless you want it for looks same performance as stealth/spire slightly worse than prism.Need a temp while waiting for aio or putting custom loop?Yes again, will do just fine.Collect random pc junk?Yep, this falls into that category.Looking for a solid cooler to overclock 5000 series or 10th gen? This one isn’t it.“Argb” cable is really just 2 exceptionally flimsy and loose wires, so that is a bit of a pain(I have a corsair 280x so I just taped them to a connector)

Would have been a great asset to my next system I’, build, but have had two of them fail to power up. No idea why.
Cesar Daniel Flores Arellano –
Malísimo para lo que sirve, enfriar el CPU, mis temperaturas nunca bajaron de los 63° aún estando en reposo, al jugar subían hasta los 96° tuve que comprar otro Disipador, hoy en día con el que compre no paso de los 65° jugando.

I liked the LED lights on the device and low noise level, but I didn’t know that it would be too close and too big to fit all 4 Memory sticks (XPG SPECTRIX D41 RGB 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL18 Tungsten) on the motherboard (ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard). Also, it was very painful to mount. Do your research!!!

Great fan, does a better job cooling my AMD FX 8320 than stock. The spring clip is a little tricky though. Seems like it’s got maybe a little too much pressure.Big bonus is that I was able to plug it into my Cooler Master MB530 case which has an integrated RGB controller!
Mota –
It’s short which means it hugs the MB. This caused problems with the RAM and fan pushing against each other. I went with Corsair RGB RAM which is why as RGB RAM is taller and wider than normal RAM. However this seems to be something the manufacturer overlooked. Some may buy this as part of an RGB build and if so this may not fit their rig either. I ended up using a Deep Cool system instead. This went in the parts drawer.
KM –
I’m not sure what some of you guys think is quiet, but this is NOT. Nor will it slow down using a proper fan management tool (such as ASRock’s utility). It just wants to run full out no matter what the temps are, and while it stays cool with this cooler, it is LOUD just from the 120 fan spinning at 2000 RPM. Don’t bother buying if you really want a quiet machine.

The mounting solution used on this cooler is a massive pain. Better be in a patient mood when installing for sure. The RGB ring around the fan is on a static color cycle when the system is on just due to the board it went on not having free RGB headers. So if you don’t have a Mobo with RBG support you will be fine. One issue i found with the fan is the fan header was a 3 pin connector so you’re unable to change the RPM on the fans without using manual software. All and all worth the money.

Si quieres un disipador por estética con luz y barato , esto es lo que buscas pero no esperes que enfrié mas que uno de stock, deja mucho que desear uno o 2 grados de diferencia.

It’s big, beautiful, functional, an easy buy at $20 and the diffuse rgb it puts out is a perfect match for my Corsair vengeance pro rgb. it’s wide and relatively low profile and even given that it wasn’t that hard to install and comes with a packet of thermal paste. (It was the last thing i installed before the graphics card.) The only mark against it is that it’s also very slightly wider then I expected. I am using 2 sticks in the fastest slots for this configuration but if I wanted to put matching RGB ram in the slot closest to the cpu it would be blocked.i think regular or low profile ram would fit, but my dreams of upping my ram past the 32gb I installed won’t happen until I replace or modify this. This is why I took off one star. Why buy this if you don’t care about RGB, and if you care about RGB you likely have taller RGB ram. Also, it’s not a fault against the fan, but if looks and max rgb is your goal, this will make it harder to see an rgb m.2 ssd.

Its keeping my Ryzen 3 below 60c while gaming. Although I used Noctua’s thermal paste rathter than what came with the fan. It didnt fit the mount for my processor’s stock fan (wraith stealth), but luckily I had the right kind of bracket and swapped it out, otherwise I wouldnt have been able to mount this fan. I wouldnt say its AMD universal since it only fits one kind of mounting solution: the clip brackets. The RGB goes out of sync sporadically flickering an odd color here and there, but otherwise it works fine. The issue with the RGB isnt enough for me to want to send it back. It cools great, im happy. Great cooler for the price imo.

Really like the item aesthetics. The cooler couldn’t mount correctly due to space constraints of mini itx asus ROG STRIX x470i gaming motherboard and g skill trident Z rgb ram. So unfortunately had to return.
FpsMafia –
2 stars. It’s pretty simple why.A. I love the look of this cooler. It fits well with everything else in this build.B. Installing was a pain. Would def advise to instal before installing the motherboard in a caseC. The fan only has a three pin connector. So having issue with speed control. I’ve tried multiple different motherboards. It just spins full speed.D. The 5v connector just sucks. It’s two small random cables with markings. If you plug them in wrong you will fry this very quickly. I don’t understand why they did not use the basic plug like everyone else…Keeps Ryzen 5 2600 in decent temp range. I am returning this item due to the speed control issues and the cooling. Under heavy load for multiple hours it will let your cpu reach temps that will begin to bottleneck it. 85c +

Pretty decent budget cooler. Currently mining monero using this cooler and it stays at decent levels. If you need a budget coolr build definately worth getting

only has two pins to connect to motherboard… ive only ever seen 3 or 4 pin headers on motherboards.
Steven Gardner –
Had it in my system for maybe half a year, and then half of the LEDs straight up DIED. What I mean is half of the LEDs no longer communicate with my computer through the RGB header so half of them display the correct color and half default to white. And guess what? THERES NO FIX!

Nice and very RGBish. Problem is the diameter is so big it encroaches the closest DIMM slot to the CPU on an ASUS X570 motherboard so if you’re using RGB RAM, the cooler will not allow you to go with four sticks. I believe non RGB RAM sticks will be able to fit underneath this fan’s shroud.
Richard R Draude –
I love the Heatsink. It’s easy to install and keeps my AM3 Processor Cool and running. The light show is a plus. The heatsink fan is super quiet I have four of these running on PCs in my home. Thiusis a five star product as far as I’m concerned.
Anthony R. –
Does not provide enough clearance to put on a micro atx mobo, only for atx. Only 1 stick of ram was able to fit
Dan Lorenz –
Did not come with AMD mounting bracket.
Jay A. –
Looks great, very quiet, a bit over sized though. Not a lot of room for RAM chips when installed
Joe Corredor –
Problems! First off, the retainer itself is plastic so in time it may crack or break. Secondly, pressing the tabs in place to catch is a nightmare! Be warned, once locked, it’s a bitch to remove unless you’re willing to break one of the plastic tabs!! Attempting to remove it now to return!! UPDATE: Finally after 10 minutes, but am uncertain as to motherboard at this point! Thanks for nothing, Thermaltake!!!
ZegZilla –
You will need to remove your video card or anything else in the way, because you will need the space to the last stage of latching the fan on to the base (the base is easy to install). You need two hands to latch it and the space to get your hands in there is what I am saying. But well worth it. My install took about 15 mins. All the best!

Bought this for my I5-9600 which is a 65W just like the cooler says it’s good for. Playing @1440p on Marvel’s Avengers (current game I’m playing) with a 2080 super maxed out visuals the CPU hit 100°c which is way to high. Granted the high resolution could be to blame for the high temps.I would recommend not using this if you play at resolutions higher than 1080p. Even if the CPU fan speed is maxed out it can’t keep up. Other than that it’s a cool little cooler.
Psyberdelic –
This product looked cool but when i received it I didn’t even try to actually install. I simply held the cooler over the motherboard and observed an extremely questionable fit with two of four RAM chips installed. It would have been impossible to fit if I wanted to add RAM to the two empty slots.

Item was searched for using my current mobo specs and sizing for cpu screw ins, have found upon arrival that the round black plastic screw holder does not fit my current screw spacings, will need return. Unable to test it for anything else to rate it, other than tit doesn’t come with different screw placements than the round plastic circular one- that again does not fit.

I just bought a second one as a gift for my brother, will probably end up buying a third if I get my motherboard for christmas to give my old one to my wife. Easy installation, works great with razer chroma. Quiet and runs cool for what I need.

Purchased this UX100 rgb fan in November of 2021, all was good until about 2 weeks ago. Then the LEDs started doing of things, turning off at random, then two days ago they finally died. Fan runs, but really defeats the purpose of an open case light show.

A tad loud in my open case but very reliable.

What can I say? Works to keep CPU cool and it looks good !For the price , it’s extremely great value .Definitely would recommend for budget builds . You won’t find a better one for the price …My only issue was installation .It has a long metal part that runs through the center and comes out on two oppossite sides then you have to hook and lock them on the socket which took quite a while and hella hurt my finger. But other than that great buy 🙂
J. Young –
I was building my brother-in-law’s step daughter a PC and she was primarily concerned with RGB. This was within the budget and added the necessary lighting effects. The mounting system is one of the worst I’ve seen in the last decade. I have heavy doubts it provides even pressure between the cold plate and the IHS. That’s on top of the fact that this at best is a RGB version of a cheap downdraft cooler like the ones included free on low-end CPUs.Please don’t use this on a high core count CPU unless you want to be constantly thermal throttled.

LED lights stopped working, came on once briefly after that and then stopped again and hasn’t worked since. Extremely disappointed! i

I’m not sure if I received a defective product but there’s a blue LED stuck on and the colors aren’t great either. It’s supposed to be the same color as the mobo but it’s pink instead.Other than that, it’s a decent cooler. Bit big and hard to install once it’s in a case though
Renaldo Hylton –
When the lights are on, it’s great! When the light transitions between certain colors it does a hard switch as if it going from 0 to 10 in a single switch vs going through 0 to 10.While ur other argbs are transitioning it just jumps to the next color.I’m not happy with the argb cable. I’d rather if they had the connector as a single block vs 2 independent connection tips. All the other argbs i have is a single block connector, this one is singular like the LED connectors for ur mobo. And because of that, i find the connection a little loose.

It cools completely fine, I run a Ryzen 5 2600 and it cools it enough (I haven’t overclocked). However problems start to arise in other areas, you can only change rgb in the motherboard bios, and little to no lighting effects worked for me. In order to install it you have to pull two very strong clips around a part on your mother board and took me a while to do. This also prevents me from adding more ram if I wanted to, I’m switching to a radiator soon, if you want something temporary and cheap, this will get the job done, however I wouldn’t suggest it if you want something long term.
Tim in Colorado –
I got this as a cheap temporary replacement for my liquid cooler as it was sent in for warranty repairs. Trying to attach this to the motherboard was … a very frustrating challenge.I got it to work. Eventually. But the spring clip was just too hard to direct on a board that was already installed.I was using this on an AMD AM4 socket. It may be easier to install on other sockets.
Juan Jesus –
Es muy buen producto pero se tiene que tener en cuenta el tamaño de la motherboard porque si estorba con las memorias ram. En mi caso no quedo porque chocaba con las memorias.
Carlos B –
It’s way too big for a micro atx motherboard, you won’t be able to install the ram memory on the board.
Gael –
TLM –
It was a little difficult to harness, but has been solid since then. Quiet, and my son really liked the led lights.
C-B –
Used as a lighted replacement for the stock wraith spire on our ryzen 5 2600 build. Word of caution depending on your motherboards ram layout you might run into interference with one of the ram dimm (b450 gaming plus). We only run 2 sticks so did not need access to the first ram slot. It looks great and noise level is minimal. Dropped our temps a few degrees under load but wouldn’t recommend for extreme oc.

So, when i recieved the box, instructions was clear, i had a little bit of a hard time to install since i got a am3+ support, the “bracket” where you lock it was really super stiff lol but after 2 times placing it since the first time i wanted to see if it was fitting before placing the thermal paste, the second time was more easy less stiff. Thermal paste that come with it i tried to use it but there wasnt enough in that little package 😮 i had to remove it after using it, and replace it with my own that i bought at a local store. overall im super happy with the product, looks so good with the rgb but a quick warning !!!! ITS HUGE. only had 2 RAM instead of 4 and it was fitting, if i had 4ram it wouldnt fit. so make some space when your setting it up. Performance – my old cooler was 52 degree, this one goes to 34-40 (MAXIMUM) ,20 dgree minimum. Outstanding price for what i got! Well built and nice product!

Honestly, does what it’s supposed to and looks good while doing it.My only gripes are that installing the fan was a little difficult, and the fan is large enough that I’m not able to use the last slot for RAM on my motherboard because the fan blocks it.But! It looks nice, my computer runs quietly, and without issues, so 4/5 stars from me

Mounting interferes with tall ram on most boards’ closest memory slot.

The mounting system that’s located on the fan itself is a joke to put on and if you ever have to, take off. I ended up having to take everything off my board to make room for bracket to come off the mount on the board. It would not. I actually ended up completely destroying my mounting system to the board when I had to end up going in the back of the board and squeezing the clear pins closed so they could go back up onto the Intel mother board.
ELECTRON –
My customer did not like the stock cooler that came with Intel i3 10100, and wanted a cheap RGB cooler. Since its a decently low TDP processor, this heat sink has no issues keeping it cool and at the same time, looking good. However I must mention here that I do not trust that push pin mounting, so used an old asetek backplate and screwed in the ring mount. After that its like a standard AMD mount (on an Intel CPU, LOL). Also about the cables…, the fan is DC controllable 3-pin header, no PWM. The ARGB header is split to only two wires, the D and G breakout pins, no 5V pin making the mentioned 5V voltage as moot. It picks up voltage from the fan’s 12V DC pin. As the D & G breakout pins were large, there was trouble plugging them to the motherboard ARGB header, so had to cut them off and solder in a proper ARGB header from an old splitter cable. I had to sleeve the cable as D wire was red in color.

Very budget friendly product.. Though there is some noise level… It’s not fully silent but it can be tolerated.. RGB is decent not too dim not too bright. CPU temperatures are in check with matters the most. Using it on i5 6500 CPU. Installation can be tricky but manageable.
J.Farrell –
Ignoring that it had to small of a processor coverage. I can put that as a ordering error. But it was also broken out of box. The mounting spring clip was broken on it. So I wouldn’t of been able to mount it anyways. I did plug it in just to see if it worked. Which it did turn on and light up. So I gave it a 3 star even though I had to return it. Which return was smooth and easy.If your buying. Definitely make sure this wil fit your processor. This covers may1.5in by 1.5in at most. I know it’s to small to fit any of my 4 computers.

Rgb worked for about 3 hours, mounting the fan was a bit of a nightmare, it’s quiet but not really worth it if you want to dazzle the grand daughter’s computer. Maybe look at something else.

it cant keep good temps, its not LOUD but i can hear it and know its running and that bugs me, you cant fit all 4 ram stick with it in a 1151 socket MB, it looks pretty, i think thats all its really good for lolim just listening to youtube and texting on facebook and im idling at 60c. thats what i was at under VR load with my old cooler, the only real reason i tried switching was cause i needed a smaller one cause i got a ram upgrade and i needed the space to fit them all, my stock intel cooler works better then this thing lol, and i thought thermaltake was good, guess i was wrong

Trying to attach the fan to its mounting system was an absolute pain for me. Though this was an upgrade to an already built system, so the fact that I was doing this inside the pc case was part of the issue. But, once I got it in it looked and worked great, substantially quieter than the Intel fan the CPU came with

I was impressed with the look and feel of the fan. The quality seems durable, but the plastic mounting to the motherboard is a bit flimsy. It took me 4 tries to install on my old sandy bridge 2600k asus board. The key is to install fan to bracket first. Then align the holes to board and start with the mounting pin near the cooling fins. So far it’s working great!
sulliops –
First of all, I have to dock a few points for RAM clearance and the mounting system. Yes, this is technically a low-profile cooler — but, the round design makes for a difficult time with even standard-sized RAM sticks. Low-profile coolers like Noctua’s NH-L9a series do a much better job at cooling without interfering with other components. And, although the mounting system is universal (which is great for a cheap cooler), it’s a pain to install and remove. I felt like I was going to crack my motherboard. That said, the cooling performance is slightly better on average than AMD’s Wraith Stealth and the noise level is great for the price.

Purchased this not noticing the 65w rating. Running a FX-8350 in my system and that is what this was for. While the one reviewer that said he used it on an 8350 and it works, I have to say that is only 1/2 correct. It does work, but only as long as all your doing is web browsing. Put any load on the CPU and in a few minutes, it will shut down. I am a gamer and this just wouldn’t do. Did however put this on my Ryzen 3700X and it is seeming to keep it nice and cool and no issues on this machine at all. Great looking cooler and does sync with the system if you system has 5v RGB header on board. All in all, a really nice looking cooler that works for a decent price.

I needed a fan, so I went cheap..The mounting and install is a legit pain. Those holder bracket things are super tight and very hard to bend.. So it was a struggle getting it on, and if I ever need to remove it. I’d rather just buy a new motherboard/cpu… no way am I getting it off without breaking something.Also. Why does RGB items cost less than non-rgb.. I’m personally anti rgb.. I don’t need flashy lights that distract me.. It’s a computer.. Not a disco.. So.. I took a knife and cut the wire to the rgb strip. and it works just fine..All in all. I give it a 5/10.. It does it’s job but is a pain to install and my motherboard is older so I don’t have led control and had to just snip the wire to the led strip

I ordered this cooler because I accidentally stripped the screw hole for the AM4 socket backplate on my MSI Gaming Plus Max motherboard. Due to the nature of the issue, I was still able to use the provided brackets on the motherboard, which lead me to purchasing this cooler.Attaching the cooler was quite simple, simply re-attach the included clips on the motherboard and clip the cooler in place. Dry fitting the cooler (pre-thermal paste application) helped “soften” the tension in the clip, making it easier to install once the thermal paste has been applied. The only negative aspect of this cooler is that the RGB “Rainbow Swirl” is on by default when connecting the 5V DC power pin, and seeing that I don’t have a MSI Mystic Light enabled motherboard (no JRAINBOW Connector) I have 12v 4 pin RGB headers, therefore no way to “address” the 2 plugs for RGB control that come with the cooler. This makes is to that even when all the other RGB in my case is off, I still get the blasting, full lumens effect of a Rainbow swirl constantly going inside my case.I’ll soon be endeavouring to remove the cooler and replace it with something else, or attempt to take it apart to sever the RGB connection internally from the addressable RGB PCB board located somewhere in the depths of the cooler.Be warned that if you do not have a 5v Addressable RGB Header that this cooler requires, you’ll have a constant, never ending, unchageable Rainbow swirl effect going on, which may not be ideal.Overall gave it 4 stars as the cost was low enough, especially for a clip/clamp type connection solution.

Rebuilt a previous gen pc with some upgraded partsUsed on an AMD vishera chip that is known for running hot.Pros:Fan does much better at keeping it cool than the stock one. But I also changed the case and fan set up so that would impact temps also.Does not need a rgb header on mobo. Lets you give some light to older motherboards. Also installed a controller for other rgb lights and fans.Quiet enough for us. Sits on a side office table next to the table the monitor is on and it isn’t noticeable.Cons:Mounting it was difficult and if I didn’t read the reviews I would have never pushed as hard on the brackets as was needed to install. I also watched a video that gave a good tip of using a flat head screwdriver to assist with getting the clasping backet in the needed place while installing. The stupid rgb headers to connect to the mobo are flimsy. 2 separate single wires with their own headers. I tried to connect it to a controller unsuccessfully and headers kept slipping off. This is my biggest complaint though is that it is so huge I had to sacrifice a ram slot for this to fit. I had four 8 gb chips and I can’t use them all now. Since it is used for office work I took the hit and removed the chip. I’ll buy a water-cooled aio one day if I ever really need the chip.

Honestly, does what it’s supposed to and looks good while doing it.My only gripes are that installing the fan was a little difficult, and the fan is large enough that I’m not able to use the last slot for RAM on my motherboard because the fan blocks it.But! It looks nice, my computer runs quietly, and without issues, so 4/5 stars from me
Watanabe Craig –
Nice and very RGBish. Problem is the diameter is so big it encroaches the closest DIMM slot to the CPU on an ASUS X570 motherboard so if you’re using RGB RAM, the cooler will not allow you to go with four sticks. I believe non RGB RAM sticks will be able to fit underneath this fan’s shroud.

It’s a good CPU fan of what you’re looking for is a 120 mm case fan directly over your CPU. Despite all the finagling I’ve done I never did get the RGB to work.
Julie –
Not meant for ITX or Micro ATX builds. Way too low for tall RAM modules. If you’re going to install this, choose low profile RAM modules. Not good for compact builds. Also pretty loud.EDIT: One month later and the RGB is dead. Fan still works but doesn’t really keep the CPU cool. Terrible product, stay away.
ralph fritz II –
Tried to install on my AM3 and the base is so small it only made contact with 50% of the CPU and temps soared and the computer kept shutting down. You could feel the heat coming from around the heat sink. Might work fine with a smaller size CPU where it could make more contact. The RGB was cool and I hooked it up to an aftermarket controller with the case fans, worked really well in that way. Giving a low rating because it should not boast such compatibility and fail.

Huge cooler. Anything but basic ram makes it impossible to mount cooler The pushpin style mounting is awefull and the stock cooler I got with my intel i3 10100 is better

I had read that I would need to get an adapter to get it to work with an LGA1700 mobo (I bought this before the 1700s were released), but the existing mounting options let me install just fine. I just had to play around with different combinations until I found one that fit.It is quiet and keeps the i5-12400 cool even while gaming.
Lakkiada –
It works. Cpu stays cool. However, this fan only has a 3 pin connector, which means some motherboards cannot control the speed of the fan. Mine happens to be one that requires the 4th pin. (Some send speed to 2nd pin and may work fine for you. Check your mobo manual.) As such, The fan operates as Full On at all times, which unfortunately means it is unnecessarily much louder than it needs to be 95% of the time.Would be a great 5 star item if it had the 4 pin speed sensing connection. Other than that no complaints. Lights are cool, but just an extra use of power. Would rather have NO RGB and 4 pin…
Michael –
Did not fit right on my motherboard. The cooling was not very good with it. I never over hated but it did run hotter then whith my other cooler. Lights did not synce with my mother board. Did not feel that the quality was there.

States clear as day in description that it will fit an AM3. I have the mounting bracket already and this will most definitely not fit it. The metal hinges will not go down far enough to latch onto the bracket. If I attempt to go any further I fear I will break something. I’ve never had an issue placing a cpu cooler on. Needed this in time for a Christmas PC build i’m doing for my girlfriend. Now I won’t have a working PC on time thanks to this. Horrible experience.

Lowered my cpu temps. RGB looks cool. Extremely inexpensive. Fit around my ram slots in a asus b550 tower.

The mounting for this is cheap plastic bits that you push into place where the screws would go. Once it was “installed” it didn’t even touch the cpu…. Can’t cool the cpu if it never sits flush with it.

Got this installed easily enough. Have it daisy-chained with three other addressable fans, which all work perfectly in all modes. This one, however, has two LEDs that, in full-RGB transition mode, are oddly out of sequence. Annoying but not a deal breaker, but the loudness factor on this thing is ridiculous. There’s a horrible hum that sounds worse than a cheap off-brand sleeve bearing case fan.

Only problem was installing but got it in there.

Pros1)bright colors2) support Aura sync3) less noisesCons1) big in size u must have big motherboard to fit or else u have to sacrifice ram space near it…. cause it’s too big…my situation but I somehow managed it.

It is very nice looking cooler, the RBG is pretty cool. Now, the cooler cannot keep a Ryzen 5 36000 cool, it has trouble with that kind of CPU. I do not recommend it for anything above the Ryzen 5 CPU. Noise levels are high also.I would spend a little more and go with a more efficient option.Mounting is awful, it is tough to mount it. Most importantly, it depends on the motherboard but it can block the RAM sockets.

I regret every cent spent on this CPU heater. Yes, heater because it certainly isn’t a cooler.1.) Installation is terrible. spending 5 minutes trying to put a cooler on isn’t ideal, and the thermal paste that comes in the box is horrible.2.) Software is terrible. The RGB header cables only work with a handful of motherboards and the software is next to unusable.3.) Temperatures are an absolute nightmare. I turned this fan up to 100 percent in my bios and my CPU still thermal throttled. The stock AMD cooler is easier to install, doesn’t require unusable software, and actually cools your CPU. Don’t buy this.

That Jeep guy! –
I had recently bought this for my gaming pc cause of my old one being so damn loud, so when I found this surprisingly cheap cooler I had thought it was gonna be decent, at least better then my past one, once we received it both looked and felt as they said it would be amazing! At first I had thought it was the wrong one but when it comes to installing cpu fans and locking them in it takes a lot of pressure don’t be worried if it doesn’t fit, the frame hadn’t fit my motherboard but thankfully I was able to use the old one with a check first on the how to setup video Thermaltake has on there page, anyways almost a month later and just like day one it maintains a stable temperature of 35! Which is great🙏 Also little side note the lights look exactly as shown and there great, not customizable though unless you have a modern motherboard with an led port. Overall a great purchase and hope to buy more from Thermaltake in the future 💯

I yanked apart my pre-built and put it in a new case and wanted something better than my stock intel cooler for my i5-8400. Before this fan idle would be at around 50-55 c and during warzone it would be around 75 – 80 c. After installing this fan idle is about 30-35 c and 55-60 c under load. Install was easy the mount and mount push pins feel very cheap but they do the job I have never installed a fan or worked on computers before and it was a breeze took about 2 mins to install. It is a hair noisy but I have heard worse. RBG works great with MSI mystic light I have it on an MSI MPG Z390 Carbon Gaming AC MB, I did have to mess around in bios to get the fan to stay on but after that it works great. Would recommend for the price you cant beat it.

If you want RGB touch and using a basic cooler in your system then go for it. But cooling? I’m not a fan of it’s cooling, it is giving me 3-4 degree higher temps on same room temperature and same thermal paste than my stock wraith stealth cooler with my Ryzen 3500. But it’s a decent cooler. 3/5

description says its easy mount on am4 my asus b450m did not like it, its very tight and felt like it was about to break before it finally clicked in. fan is very quiet and definitely pushed more air than my stock cooler, as i saw moderate decrease in cpu temp. LEDs were sporadic from day 1, the connector was slightly larger then 3pin header on my mobo but it never wiggled loose. 3 months after installing though the LEDs are dead it will not light up anymore. guess its time to bit the built on the AIO cooler ive been eyeing. I expected more from thermaltake, was highly disappointed in the short life span of the LEDs would not recommend if you want a lighted cooler, if your looking for a budget cooler thats better than stock, maybe but i just cant defend it at this point with he 3 month life span of the LEDs

Love the clean look from this heatsink. Installation was easy and provides plenty of cooling for my i7. If you want a cleaner look from a 212 get the UX100 😁

I liked this as it adds color to an open platform. Only issue is it makes it hard for memory stick installation in number 1 position (nearest cpu) Once in everything fine.

For the price, I got a quality, budget cooler that’s near silent and easy on the eyes. It’s one chunky monkey, so keep that in mind before installing. I had to remove a ram stick to make room for it.The side clip mounting system can be a pain. I recommend installing this BEFORE mounting the motherboard to give you room to work, then build around it. TAKE YOUR TIME with those clips!! Get impatient or careless and you can scratch one motherboard or your CPU! And, get a nice deep finger cut on top of that!I got this to replace my Corsair H60 so that I can make room for an EVGA RTX 2080 Hybrid. I couldn’t mount the GPU’s radiator to the floor of my case due to it being wide, so I had to stomach that big friggin radiator hose in my face for now…Anyways, this Thermaltake cooler is very nice and I’m glad I got it!

Docking a star because it is very hard to install. Docking another star because it is no better than the stock cooler that came with the CPU. Leaving a star because it’s Thermal Take and will probably last a long time. Leaving a star because it looks purdee. Leaving a star because it functions.

Purchased this in May 2022, it is now Sept of 2022 and the RGB lighting on the fans has failed. Also, the unit was very hard to install, causing me to bend the pins on my processor. The pins ultimately broke and the processor needed to be replaced. Not recommending this product.

This CPU cooler works well with nonoverclockable cpus or even last gen cpus. Although for the am4 socket for amd its a little bit of a pain (a lot of pain for me and my board). When i used it on my ryzen 9 5900x i was getting average temps of 70 degrees celsius…not good. Although it could be user error so im going to test another cooler i have on hand and will update after i do some tests because it does look pretty good in my case.
Jeffrey Zhang –
The mounting instructions are absolutely obscure, and worst of all the mounts to the motherboard pop off when installed, nearly damaging the surrounding components inside the PC. Do not buy, go for another one instead.

Just so everyone knows. This comes with a 3pin connector and most cpu fan headers are 4pin so it should be noted that you cannot adjust the fan speed even in bios. What I had to do was connect the 3pin to a 3pin chasis fan header and run it at full speed to get it to go above 1000rpm. Also even if you do not connect the “rgb headers” you still get the default rainbow rgb. You just can’t change it from rainbow unless you connect them.
wade derrick –
it looks great. and performs decent.didn’t keep my Ryzen 5 2600 super cool, but it wasn’t hot either.I upgraded to a 3600, and it just got to over 70 degrees tooo easily, and cranked my MHZ down.

Does not have a standard 5v 3 pin RGB connection, it has two wires that reminded me of front IO connections that I didn’t feel were adequate. Had they not cheap it in this way I might have liked it more and felt more comfortable hooking it up to my controller but hooking that up to an RGB fan controller I would not recomend it!
Anthony –
I needed to upgrade the heat sink, I was using a stock ASUS heat sink for an i5 for an i7 until I could grab an upgrade.Mounting the Thermaltake was a piece of cake, I have an LGA 1151 motherboard. It stands over the RAM slots that are occupied on mine, and doesn’t interfere with anything else. The bracket it comes with was easy! I just lined it up, put the pegs in place to hold it, and then applied the tiny push pins in. Once that happened and it was secured, I attached the fan with my thermal paste (it comes with thermal paste if you don’t have any), and clipped it in.Because of my small space I work with, I had to pull out the GPU to clip it in. But that was easy as pie as well.It took about five minutes or so to install it. Super simple! It’s VERY EASY! So if you aren’t savvy with computer parts, you seriously won’t have any trouble.I haven’t tested it on a game while streaming yet, but I notice at least a 10-15 degree drop in operation temperature from an app that I use. It’s VERY quiet, the fan is fancy, I love the color scheme it rotates, it’s absolutely beautiful! I’m glad I bought this!

Product itself works fine and it keeps my temps cool, but I gave it a 4 star because installing this thing was a pain, if the installation was easier then easy 5 stars. Also, this thing can be noisy and it’s kinda stuck in one speed, so even if you’re not doing something intensive this thing will still spin loud.

I bought this to replace the fan on my older game system and the fan worked fine, but when I plugged in the lights, the wire started heavily smoking and burned out. My system is closed so I didn’t really need the light anyway, but still if I hadn’t tested it first, I could have severely damaged my system or worse.

I have a Z390 motherboard and when this fan is installed I can only use up 2 RAM slots because it covers the 2 closest to the CPU. Not a big deal, but something to consider before buying.

As you can see from the pictures that after just 2 months, the rgb on the cooler stopped working. When I switched from the stock cooler to this Thermaltake, my temps rose an average of 5 to 7 degrees. Also, in the pictures you can clearly see how big this cooler is. So big that it blocks out memory slot closets to the cpu. So I’m stuck with being able to use just 2 sticks of memory instead of 4. Check your motherboard for clearance, in case you want to add two more sticks of ram. Going to see if I can return it. Which means going back to the stock cooler and waiting for another to arrive. What a waste of thermal paste.

I haven’t tested it yet. But this thing is HUMONGOUS! or my micro board is just very small. The position of my rams were extremely close to the cpu and cooler. I had to rotate the fan so the tab is on the bottom side and it wouldn’t cover the rams. I installed the m.2 SSD before putting on the cooler though. As you can see there’s no room for all the ram slots to be occupied but that’s okay since I’m not ever planning on more than 2.My motherboard is MSI MAG B460M Mortar WiFi.

I bought this because it was budget friendly and I thought it would look cool with my rgb build (which to this day I still think it does), but if I could go back, I would have gone a different route. The fan cools (RX5800X) fine and performance isn’t my issue. This was a PAIN to install (compared to the AMD one that came with my old CPU) and the fan is very noisy. It irks me to this day that I have nearly silent fans in the rest of my build, but this fan alone makes up about 80% of the noise. It’s on the short list to be replaced for sure.

I didn’t exactly get what was listed in the picture. It was a cooler master low profile rgb fan. It still did the same job and cooler master is more reputable, so I enjoyed it. It’s not exactly the best fan for more demanding cpus where you are actually looking for good thermals. It’s okay just to get you started, but in the mean time you should plan for the future.

I wanted to like this product, but unfortunately I am planning to return it. I believe I might have got a defective unit because the RGB will randomly change color from the rest of the motherboard sync. You can see it in the pictures. None of my other RGB products have this problem. Other issues I found dealt with the mounting and noise. The mounting solution for AMD is very difficult to attach to the CPU.Also, the fan is fairly audible because it isn’t PWM and always runs at max speed. I would be willing to overlook the other flaws it has if the RGB worked correctly for me. As for now I plan on returning it.
NexGen –
This fan does the job, but my main complaint is with the mounting on AM4 systems. My best advice is not to try installing this with the mounting brackets fully tightened down on the motherboard. Loosen one of the mounting brackets on the board, then connect the mounts on this to both brackets, and then tighten down the screws on the bracket. It’ll save you a lot of time and frustration. I don’t know why the mounting system on this fan is so poorly designed but I had to remove 2 stars because of it. Once you get it on there though, the fan looks and performs great!
Grayson Family –
Had to move my DIMM’s over to the furthest slots to make room for this beast. It took over 2 slots. If I had really skinny modules it might only cover 1, but mine are pretty wide, so definitely bothIt also isn’t as easy to control as my stock intel CPU fan. I had to switch it to voltage in the BIOS just to turn it down so its slowest setting to make it quieter. The other settings didn’t have an effect on it.But, with all that said, my CPU is ice cold. Even during high load it’s only at 36 degrees (c)… so it definitely does the job intended !

If you’re doing an RGB themed build then stay away from Thermaltake. I hate to say it but I’ve never been more disappointed in Thermaltake. I run a thirty year old computer repair shop and I’ve faithfully used standard Thermaltake products for many years with pride. I will no longer offer anything from Thermaltake at my store nor will I ever purchase anything for stock from them ever again. All manufacturers these days offer such similar products that the support and reliability are ultimately what separate them. Thermaltake has failed us miserably. To go in the View 31 RGB Dual Tempered Glass case we have gone with the Thermaltake UX100 RGB CPU Heatsink/Fan, a 16GB Thermaltake TOUGHRAM kit, a Thermaltake RGB 750W TOUGHPOWER Grand Series PSU. We were planning on using the pre-installed Riing 14 case fans that had factored into our purchase decision originally, but after two RMA’s for the included fan controller (the original had brightness issues that were NEVER resolved, the first replacement they sent was just the incorrect part, second replacement changed nothing) and zero solutions we upgraded to the aftermarket Pure Plus 14 RGB Premium three fan kit and controller because I’m pretty reasonable and loyal. Nice fan kit by the way, but it would only be appropriate if it was to be your ONLY RGB feature. There is no syncing between all of these products despite Thermaltake expressly boasting that there is. After the email thread from support reached 25 emails and after we have spent hundreds of dollars and after several hours of labor troubleshooting and after we have tried motherboards from multiple manufacturers on both the Intel and AMD platforms, we have decided to warn everyone we can to stay away from Thermaltake RGB products.

Was very difficult to put in, but once it was turned on, it was very loud. This is not a PWM fan and will run at full speed, which is very loud. This is also a very big CPU cooler. Wouldn’t recommend it.
JK –
It fit my motherboard and case! That was what I was worried about most. It comes quite close to the RAM and the nvme, but it fits and keeps the cpu cool.I just wish there were to switch the lights off in Linux.

colors are amazing and I dont even hear it running
Abhinav Kapoor –
The product while looks really cool and relatively easy to install, delivers poor performance.I am using this with a 10600K and its not able to control temps even without overclocking . Just doing a cinebenchR20 run makes my CPU cores too hot (99C) and thermal throttling starts. This is on a base frequency of 4.5GHz.So overall, the product fails to meet the expectations on the actual job its supposed to do.Add-on: I am getting better (cooler) temperatures on intel stock cooler as compared to Ux100

Trying to install this on an AM3+ motherboard is near impossible. With this cooler on my motherboard it bends my motherboard when out of the case, and takes an unreasonable combination of strength, time, and hassle to install this. The only thing this has going for me for my build is that it is fairly quiet and mostly matches the rest of my fans. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone with an AM3 build. Unsure of AM4.

Looks great for the price, the best value CPU fan. About 2-3x larger than the stock Intel i7 10700 fan, surprisingly more thermal heat sinks.
Nate –
It was mounted while I was running temps and I heard a crack. It then fell off while still spinning. Bending my cpu fan and rgb pins on my mobo. Returning the day after I bought it. Will never recommend anything “cheap” like this again smh. Just spend the extra $10 on something better.

The fan is okay. Its a $20 cpu cooler but it gets the job done. The huge disappointment here is the lighting. For starters, the colors are WAY off. Set it to red and it turns pink, blue is greenish, purple is blue, green is yellowish. There are very few colors that are actually true. If you want it to match your other fans….good luck. Second is the lighting effects. Absolute worst I’ve ever seen. The fan flashes randomly. I usually set mine to a static color (cyan like in the video I attached) but even set to static color the fan flashes and freaks out. It shows every color and won’t stay one single color. If you try to use any rainbow or other effect it just confuses the fan and it shows random colors then goes dark for about 30 seconds before spazzing out again. I have tried mystic light, aurasync, rgb fusion, and everything else. Its the same story with all software. Hopefully I just got a defective unit but this left a bad taste in my mouth and I won’t be buying from them again.

replaced my stock cooler with this one, dramatic difference, so I upgraded the wife’s as well. then i had to replace all her fans to match…so maybe that is a downside? either way, it works great.
Bob –
installation was easy enough although the AMD bracket was to small and i had to remove the fan from the heat sink to install. rbg lighting worked great but no clear instructions on how to plug in lighting controls. CPU temp at idle was 40c and 70-80 while gaming so not good at all compared to my new zalman that gives me 23c idle and 40-50 gaming. Great for the price but u should save up for a betterr one or just use stock if your gonna be gaming.

solo hay que tener en cuenta que si tus memorias RAM tienen discipador algo alto, no van a caber junto con este discipador, el slot que va mas cercano al procesador pega con el discipador, asi que tuve que quitar el discipador de la memoria.

Bonito diseño y alto valor costo beneficio.

decent cooler, wish the leads for the RGB were longer. Had to superglue the rgb cables on to the header. It works but wish I had waited and spent a little bit more.
Chris C. –
After reading reviews, I purchased the fan as it was an upgrade to the stock CPU cooler that I already owned. The RGB was just and added bonus. Overall the product works, is not compatible with my mobo in terms of RGB control, and the installation was not as bad.To make things easier, I installed the mount before the cooler (per instructions) and I installed one latch while provided a small amount of tension by lifting it slightly. This allowed me to press the cooler straight and square onto the CPU (prevents smearing/bad thermal paste distribution). The second latch was not hard either. A bit uncomfortable, but doing it slowly and precise beat brute-forcing the latch on.Overall, not a bad cooler over stock at its price.
BWhite –
The Ux100 has excellent rgb effects, it’s surprisingly quiet and decent at cooling. The mounting system is smart but a little difficult to execute. You can see the difference in led quality between my fans and the thermaltake cooler. The colors are brighter and the patterns transistion smoother. While I haven’t had a chance to do any official testing, I can say that the cooling is adequate and that the fan is whisper quiet. My i7-4790k (no OC) sits at 65c under load while gaming and idles at 40c. Not the best temps but definitely effective. The fan speed is nonadjustable. However, it does it’s job fine and it’s just as quiet as any aio I’ve owned so this is not a large issue.I wouldn’t recommend crazy high overclocking with this if any but this is a great value for 20 bucks. 👍
Chris –
We have a mid size case, and I already had to return one ABKONCORE fan which couldn’t be installed due to tolerances between motherboard components and the clips. I was easily able to install this one with very minimal effort. Just remember that this fan is only rated for 65W, and most newer processors will have a higher thermal load. Also, if you want the colors to be controllable by the motherboard your motherboard needs to have the addressable RGB header available. If your motherboard does not have that header, just leave those wires unplugged and the fan will automatically cycle through a rainbow of colors. Ours is on auto and looks awesome!

Don’t buy this.

It’s small and downdrift. So, never put this thing with anything better than i5 or 5600X. Probably 3600 could be the maximum performance CPU this cooler can be paired with. The RGB signal is also strange. It is just 5V signal and ground. So, do not plug this thing into 12 V RGB rail! If you do not plug in, the RGB rotates. The noise isn’t as serious as Intel’s OEM cooler but marginally higher than those ‘good’ tower coolers. If your priority is noise level, avoid pairing this cooler with anything better than i3 or 3000G. I’ve seen this cooler on those pre-builts with mid-tier CPUs such as 3600 or i5. Not a good idea if you care about noise.Good thing is, this cooler fits to both Intel (up to 11th gen.) and AMD (up to AM4) and installation doesn’t require a rocket scientist. Just push the middle pin harder than you think. The included thermal paste seems to be a bit lower quality. But it’s passable if you’re not pairing this cooler with high-end CPUs.

I got this to replace the original fan of my ibuypower pc and add color to it. I already have something plugged on my rgb header so I had to find a different way to power the lights. I had it working but didn’t have a way to control the modes and colors but the default setting was an upgrade enough compared to the old fan. Performance was great and noise level was about the same. It is a good buy and recommend.

This is likely a decent product from a brand I like, but did not fit into the ASUS B460-Plus mobo I was installing it into. The fan pushed against the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro memory and was not able to be installed. PCpartpicker.com had indicated there were no conflicts with this configuration. This CPU fan was unusable.

It’s unable to keep the temperatures low (AMD FX-8320). Min – 28.4 degrees and max 78.9 degrees. My previous cooler had a max temps of 54 degrees and min of 16 degrees. The intel mount isn’t very well put together. Not worth it for just the RGB lights, look for something better.

I find this cooler just the right size. It is larger than most stock coolers yet does not protrude like many heatpipe tower coolers. I just installed one of these on an Intel i5-11600k I use in a backup file server. The CPU isn’t under any massive load so heat output isn’t really a concern. Noise output is very low as well. Love it!!! Have purchased 2 of these so far.

The Fan itself Works and sounds great however the installation process is utter horse crap. For Intel users you have to install some weird plastic screws to get the locking frame to mount (since the radiator is physically AMD, but can be accommodated to intel.) However for AMD users the box may say “AM4” but its really the AM3 Cooler lock with the 2 stubs and clamps. And this coolers clamps are painful asf to install. after you install the 1st, you have to move the other steel prong down about an inch or so depending on the mount. And my finger is still hurting 30mins after installing it and writing a review on it.

I personally had extremely hard time installing this. So hard in fact I ended up not installing it. My brother put it in his computer. It works good it’s just a mess to install because of its size.
Ben –
Pros:Aesthetically pleasingVery budget friendlyDropped ~~8 degrees Celsius under full load from a ryzen wraith stealth coolerCons:The installation process was a complete nightmare, trying to sit the cooler felt wonky while trying to hook each side of the tension clips on. The tension clips took far more strength than expected and almost more than I was comfortable using on one of the most delicate parts of the computer. The installation process alone was enough for me to recommend not buying this cooler. Either save up for a better one or use the stock cooler. Save your time and frustration.

I’m only happy with three things on this CPU cooler:1) pretty colors and they ALMOST match the colors on my case’s rear fan and LED strip up front. The purple is too light and the yellows are too orange. But in rainbow mode it’s DARN close so I’ll take it.2) AM4 mounting is SUPPOSED to be hard to get right. I mean, it’s designed to be tight, but maybe I wasn’t prepared for how much strength I’d need to get it to latch on both sides.3) It is keeping my 1500X in the 40s at idle, 60-65 under load, is that good? I don’t know, this is the first AMD processor I’ve ran since an Athlon II X4 630 about a decade ago, and it was a toasty one, gamed in the low 70s and didn’t complain once. Design limit was 71C back then, this is supposed to be ok to 95C? SO I guess 60s are fine?So then you have the negatives.a) good Lord this thing takes a crazy amount of strength and dexterity to install…I felt like I was going to snap the motherboard in half, or crush all the pins in the socket trying…but it’s in there!b) the ground and D wires aren’t QUITE long enough to reach the RGB controller on the backside of the motherboard tray so I needed to tuck a few things out of the way and it BARELY reached the top pins and seated fully, but I was concerned I would have had to purchase an extension JUST for the cooler lighting and that would’ve been irritating.c) when installing this thing with a graphite thermal pad, it moves around, A LOT, and I think that may be some of the reason for my high temps, but I can’t imagine trying to install this thing with all the force it needs with a slippery layer of paste, I’d fling it through a wall trying!d) the lighting doesn’t match up as mentioned above so I’m stuck using single color or rainbow mode to avoid noticing, so maybe I need something more generic to match my cheap case? I don’t know, I just figure I’ll use it until it isn’t cooling well and attempt one more reinstall with this, maybe try Silver 5 instead of a graphite pad. If that doesn’t work…well…For $20-$25 versus a stock Wraith Stealth cooler, I’d be hard pressed to consider buying this again. If I had no cooler available, I might buy this if I HAD to stay under $25. But with a wee but more in the budget I would go straight to one of the CM Hyper 212 variants. The RGB Black Edition model runs about $41 I could consider. I have an Evo V2 in my old X58 build, and a plain original model in my wife’s X58 system. They are chunky but they keep things ice cold.UPDATE: I purchased July 2021, installed August 2021, and now at the end of January 2022 the RGB lighting stopped working. It was fine, then changed from the rainbow of colors to just white with a single green light top right, and on the next boot up it worked for two seconds and nothing. Nothing on subsequent boots either. Poked it with a stick. Checked connections at the fan and at the RGB controller. No change. I have the Wraith and Stealth style coolers as well I could use while waiting on an RMA, but it’s really annoying to have to uninstall and reinstall a cooler because it couldn’t work for more than a few months. Based on other reviews I am not the only one, and some got WAY less time than I did. Definitely going to leave it in, shop for something else, something MORE reliable, and this will now be another chunk of e-waste, no better than any other stock cooler. Great.

Great product. It is a little hard to install, but once it is, it works as intended. It keeps my CPU running at a good temperature, if it is not overclocked, which mine is not.

This cooling fan definitely is lovely and I’m happy with my purchase. The mounting part was a little difficult, but what made it easier for me was placing only the top clip on that’s on the back of the fan. If you try putting both through the thing to hold, your either going to accidentally break it or spend a lot more time trying to put it on. This is a great product that I definitely needed and I’m happy with my purchase.

Performs similarly to a stock cooler. A bit large, mainly the width, so pay attention to dimensions. Pretty good for it’s price range, though something with actual pipes and stacks is where the temp difference is truly noticeable.
Jason Corbeil –
Very disappointed in this cooler, not easy to install at all as it’s very wide so hard to fit it and clamp it down if you have ram close by or any motherboard fixtures around the socket, once installed fan is loud not low key and silent, very bright RGB but it just wasn’t worth the time it took to install. Being Pro Intel I didn’t like to have to install the CPU cooler AMD style with the clamping Mechanisms.
Divyank –
Installation was not easy. Unable to user 1 mount screw still.RGB wire are only 2, Ground and Data and they are separate wires to feels clumsy. Should have been the traditional 3 pin RGB connector.

Thermal take does it again!I switched to this cooler after having bought a similar but cheaply made one that was roasting my CPU away. This one keeps my CPU at a cool 70° under stress (while the other cheap one was always around 100°)I no longer have to worry about thermal throttling or potentially damaging my CPU.And it works great even if your motherboard does not have an RGB header! The colors will automatically cycle just by connecting it to the fan connection!I’m extremely happy with my purchase!

I Like nice RGB and overall design. Can recommend only for low level , low Wattage office cpu’s. But who need RGB colors in office PC. 1 Star lost for each catagory.1.> Sale of item does not inform what is needed to utilize full feature function of this item and for manyrequire another investment if using older board. I am keen on professional sharing info, 1 time and notwhole looking it up because unfocused on specifics(Hench good customer service practice).2.> After comparing in a few boards and cases if added a aluminum scheme to rise the system as to not protrudeon close sitting ram, I see can adjust but this still lacks in some systems where as a shim bevel slide in to hold in place form could utilize a very simple fix for deep enough cases that also run into the issue of unable to adjust.3.) The mounting system is doable but could be engineered a lot simpler then the ring as well as the mounting board clear pilot support that the pin goes threw is of a plastic quality that will become brittle all to fast when compared to the quality given in the rest of the product.

I don’t know how in the world something can underperform a Intel stock cooler but there’s always products like these to show it’s possible
James –
This thing is big. Like, I wasn’t ready for the size of it. I can’t access my first RAM slot on my EVGA Z170 FTW, but it’s fine as I’m only using 16GB (2×8) anyway. Cooler RBG defaults to rainbow if not plugged into a header, and it keeps the CPU cool. Like brr. Benchmarked a couple of games and the CPU didn’t get hot at all. It does take some strength to mount it, not going to lie. I thought I was going to crack the processor. So be ready for that. Also, ships with thermal paste, so you don’t need extra.

Installation is very scary because you have to push really hard or the metal won’t hatch to the base. After spending about an hr setting up the cooler onto the motherboard, I realized the RAM wouldn’t fit. I’m using a microATX Motherboard, and I had never had any problems with something not fitting because I always read the dimensions beforehand. If only the base was a bit taller. Looks cool, feels like good value, but only buy if you have a regular ATX Motherboard otherwise it won’t fit.
Frank Gabriel –
It was just what I needed, a little larger than expected but that’s not any issue. The colors and a nice addition, it’s very colorful, so if you want big and colorful this is for you. It was also very silent and seemed to work efficiently, my card didn’t seem to get very warm at all.
Carlos Castillo –
Al poco de unos meses el Rgb comienza a fallar, el enfriamiento es el correcto para el cpu. Pero Rgb deja de funcionar.

I really love the fan but the controller to switch colors is not available so its multi rotated colors. The fan pushes up against the left side ram module. Very Very tight to fit onto board.. needs to be more relaxed upon fitting.
Perry –
Great! programmable yet will rainbow with no rgb capable boards.Keeps it nice and cool.Con: on a micro atx board it nearly blocks low profile ram. Nothing fancy will fit. If you insist on rgb ram only one stick will work. On a z390 pro 4 there is no issues with standard ram sizes.

i bought it with not so high expectations from a budget CPU aura cooler it exceeded my expectations for the first 3 months as of this moment the cooling still works but the aura led has started to glitch where it starts to blink really bad in different colors when i only have it on static and green its a great fan but im not sure on its aura led if your looking for better aura led then consider spending a bit more money, in order to fix the issue temporarily i have to either disconnect the cables to the aura connectors and reconnect them or i have to restart my pc wich i really don’t want to i knew what i was getting into when i bought it so im just happy its doing its job on a heavy load which is streaming playing games and listening to music at the same time the temperature is at 70c

I bought this as part of a fully rgb rig I built with an Aorus Ultra motherboard and a bunch of Thermaltake riing plus fans. But this cpu cooler is not compatible with the “rgb fusion” software. Which means the rgb on the motherboard, and the rgb fans are synced, but the cpu cooler is not. Disappointing. But the fan itself is amazing. Runs super quiet and cools great.

Fan just about covers the whole first slot of ram. And no the ram cant go in first. The way the fan is curved doesn’t clear the ram slot until close to the bottom of the fan. If you only plan on using 2 sticks then you are good. It cools pretty decently for a 20$ fan. I hang around 65c with an i5-9600k at 4.4ghz running ac odyssey on ultra, i used my own thermal paste though not sure how good the one it comes with is. Another thing i don’t care for which could be my fault but between rgb fusion and iCUE there is no settings to keep it look the way it normally looks as advertised. RGB Fusion has some settings but they aren’t good appeal wise, and leaving the vdg wire unplugged was supposed to let it be its default rainbow color but that doesnt work and just has it sit on a static red green blue color that sometimes spins and all my rgb software are closed even.
Travis C –
Don’t plan to use your first ram slot. Mounting hardware is a nightmare. Doesn’t have pre-installed thermal paste. I’d skip and buy something better.

I had the most god awful time trying to attach the heat sink onto the mounting-bracket. I still couldn’t tell you how exactly I got it on. It’s also important to note that I didn’t look at the directions. Works great, awesome for the price

It looks nice and seems to work fine. I was not particularly enthused about the mechanics of mounting it on an AMD processor.
Havaxinn –
Be aware that this is missing the AMD brackets for AM3+ AM4 AM3 etc etc. I’m sure it’s a good CPU cooler but I can’t mount it without the bracket. I took 2 stars because that is predatory advertising as if it came with the bracket in the description but it’s missing, now I have to spend another $10 on the bracket.
Braden M. –
Looks pretty good and seems to do the job for my Ryzen 3 cpu. It was pretty simple to set up once I read the directions. For the price it’s prefect for a budget system with a cpu that does not produce a ton of heat.
Kindle Customer –
This cooler is so difficult to install that continuing to try would result in broken components. I scratched the heat spreader trying to use it. The thermal paste dried oot and the argb uses connectors similar to a power led on the front of a PC case.

The fan works great but wasn’t fun to install. None of the hardware that came with the fan fit my mother board because my mother board had 3mm threads in it and the adapters that came with the fan didn’t work.
R –
This fan was recommended to me by a friend so i gave it a shot. The mounting base came into contact with several components on my board and the fins and tabs on the fan come in contact with my ram. My ram is very small and not large rgb so that wasnt the issue. Im sure the fan would function well but it doesnt fit my gigabyte z390 gaming X board.
WhyNot –
The mounting clip is very hard to reach because the fan is in the way. Other than that it’s fantastic
Edwin Guarin –
Similar to other reviews, this does NOT fit AM4. Very disappointed as the fan looks great. But the description should be updated correctly.
Jeff Harris –
It looks fine, but there’s really not much to Sync with RGB Fusion and other Apps. It basically cycles through two versions of RGB, and I have it connected to the CPU fan header and the argb header, as pictured in the install manual. Seems to cool fine but wont sync with my fans and other RGB add-ons.
Matthew Penguin –
Amazing lighting, but the connection would just not work with my RGB controller along with the fan needing to have a voltage in order for the lighting to work. For Micro ATX and mini ITX boards, I have found that it covers the first ram slot if the ram is over height. Cooling is good and quiet, and the build quality is nice.

It’s working fine as far as keeping the CPU cool, I’m using it on an older Intel i5 and it’s running between 95F – 105F on all cores. So it performes properly. The 2 down sides are the installation guide has pictures only no text., and it’s hard to understand how to mount the fan to the base using the clips. I finally figured it out but it took some time it’s hard to get your fingers on the clips. I went to there website for help but not very helpfull, no text or video on how to install to the CPU.
Marquet Julien –
Amazing cooler , quiet and beautifull. The bad thing i saw that i had to take off my motherboard from the case to install the socket of the cooler . Its nothing but for me its better to install a new cooler without taking off the MB .
Thomas Niemiec –
The fan kept the computer cooler
Jeffrey D Arnold –
Be sure you have enough space to get the locking mechanism in place… the left (looking down at the motherboard with the back / plugin section to the left) side of my motherboard had some features that made it extremely difficult to get this thing locked in place. Once I finally did, I got mediocre cooling and when at high load my processor was getting outside of recommended temps. I replaced with a radiator and have far less problems.
DJ Dark Side –
This thing looks awesome in my PC. Install was a little challenging, maybe it was my wanting to be gentle with how much pressure I wanted to put on my processor… I had to really push to get it attached to the motherboard. Once there, it’s easy to hook up. A few months later the LED lights started failing. Not completely blacked out but not the right colors. Other than that this fan works great.

The cooler looks pretty nice, and drivers better temperatures overall compared to the stock cooler for my 3100. I have it in its stock configuration, and the flow of colors is acceptable. The glaring downside is the mounting system, which is not only difficult to assemble inside the case, but requires an abnormal amount of force to effectively seat the cooler. Proved to be somewhat of a hindrance, but was eventually solved. Would buy again.
EfrenM –
Gibborim –
It looks nice and seems to work fine. I was not particularly enthused about the mechanics of mounting it on an AMD processor.
Dante Fadelle –
I love this thing. It was really hard to install into my pc mainly because of the lack of space but it’s super quiet. I felt like I was going to break something when I was putting it in which concerned me so much it took me 10 tries and lots of re applying thermal paste. I don’t think I even connected it correctly cause sometimes the rgb will light up and sometimes it won’t. I don’t think I even have that cable connected cause I didn’t know where to plug it in. All in all I love it because it’s keeping my CPU cool and that’s all that matters!
Gzilla124 –
Very pretty looking heat sink, however almost impossible to install by hand. You have to use a set of pliers to actually set the latch to attach it to the motherboard. I have installed close to 20 different types of heat sinks and this one was by far the most difficult. It looks great however for that reason I think I would look elsewhere

I mean its cheap and nice but near imposible to intall on a already mounted mobo

So I got this for an older am3 board. This package only comes with the piece for Intel. What the heck? Why not say this?
PCQueen –
Mounting this was strange as the cpu bracket on the motherboard had to be removed to get the latches on the bracket. Cooling was extremely poor was placed on an 8350 and even at max rpms couldn’t keep cpu from over heating. Ended up buying a wraith cooler instead and temps plummeted. Dissatisfied with Thermaltake on this one.
Matthew R. –
Does not support the latest Intel, Deceptive and false advertisement! No 2011 support no LGA 1200 support do not buy for intel unless its a old af cpu like a i7-750 but i wouldn’t expect this cheap thing to keep it that cool though.
FireGryph –
Ive not stress tested it and Im a little worried about the size of the cold plate compared to the CPU. THe cold plate of the cooler is pretty narrow, doesnt cover the entire CPU, but so far Ive not had issues with my Ryzen 4650g.The RGB, however, Im having issues with. (as if anyone doesnt have RGB issues…) THe red looks pink, and Ive had it flicker entirely a few times. The connection to the motherboard pins seems loose and was kind of dodgy to connect. The lights do sometimes flicker or just turn off when its on prism or colour cycle modes. Just… RGB being RGB.
C. Crouch –
Looks nice but most importantly it keeps my cpu nice and cool. It is a little big and blocks #1 memory slot.
rglaredo –
The noise level is almost 0. Cool colors ( just had to remove the ugly sticker LOl). The mounting bracket feels flimsy but it holds it tight. Just cant adjust how tight it is. Easy to assemble But I guess it will be hard to unmount and re-use it since all the parts are plastic (no screws). Overall is low profile(ish). Still big. Nor for small rigs or medium small more like full tower or medium big spacious towers with a full atx mobo. But is very quiet. Again to big for micro atx it will cover over the ram slots. had to get the sink out of my corsair sticks ones in order to mount them. Included picture just reference and the board is the H97M-ITX/AC Mini ITX LGA1150 . I’m trying to make a smaller rig and still use my i7-4970k (Yes this chip still great for 1080p gaming @144hz)

out of the box, looked like a decent quality made cpu cooler. Got it to cool my 9 year old’s computer, an older quad core AMD processor. Didn’t have any issues installing it. It’s not loud and the rgb lighting is fantastic. Typical quality made product I’d expect from thermaltake. I purchased another one for my 7 year old’s similar build PC.

It was relatively a pain to install. The clip system is difficult to access unless you have small fingers. The color controls when wired as described in the instructions, will not function or even light up. I had purchased this for my sons pc. As many others have mentioned the clearance between the heat sink and memory make it impossible to utilize the first memory slot at all. I guess you get what you pay for.

Upgraded the stock AMD Wraith cooler that my Ryzen 5 3600 came with and this bad boy gets the job done and then some.Installation was confusing at first, but that was due to user error. After I figured it out, installed in less than 5 minutes, connected it to my ASUS B550-M Plus mobo and it’s quiet and effective.I was worried at first the fan might block the RAM slots on the motherboard but that hasn’t been an issue. I can easily get RAM in and out of the slots near the fan.

Being a fan of ThermalTake, I LOVE this fan. the ARGB LED’s are amazing, the fan is super quiet (In comparison to past fans I’ve used) A bit tricky getting installed on my AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, but once installed works amazing. I purchased this to install on a brand new motherboard with a Ryzen processor.. Stock fan worked amazingly well, was getting lower 50 degree.Installing this was a real nightmare, i recommend you install it before you put the motherbox inside the box.Once i installed the fan, the fan seeemed to worked fine, within minute, the CPU started heating and my motherboard blew up. Really pissing me off.. First time ever this happens.so now i’m stuck buying a new motherboard, never again, i’m gonna take the risk to put this kind of fan on one of my motherboards.

I received the fan after it was 2 days late. Not a big deal to me. But after the pain in the a** of an install. And getting it all set up. Following the directions to the T. I noticed it came with a cool smoke feature that I don’t think any other CPU fan has on the market right now. As soon as I noticed this happened I turned my computer off and hoped for the best. But, after some testing. Looks like it ruined a few things. This company will be held liable for this. Even following the directions right down to the ink printed. Do not buy this. You really do get what you pay for.

when i used it on my first pc it was working fine but then when i upgraded pc, it still works but the rgb on the cpu cooler doesnt work anymore…
Thomas Curry –
Not here to bash the company, but to simply put a safety precaution on this. I have use one previously which was decent. Lighting fixture lagged hard, and in some instances stopped rotating in circles but just sat there and flickered. As for this one, I turned on the computer for the first time and after 1 second of power on its smoking wildly. Luckily no components got damaged and the computer is performing fine under a stock cooler. Overall, it’s iffy on recommending this product to a consumer. 2 stars for me because the Cooler has much potential, maybe raise the price $10 and put some more work into it?
Rob –
Works great and easy to install.

Install is easy but don’t expect to get all the colors to sync up with the rest of your rgb devices. Also the single pin connector is too loose to stay on the motherboard.
Glenn –
I bought this as a replacement for the CPU fan in my 5 year old desktop. The original fan was getting noisy but I didn’t want to drop a lot of cash on an old machine.I couldn’t get it installed due to the stupid fasteners. They’re made of what appears to be hard clear acrylic (see picture). They don’t fit properly into the screw holes on the 1151 LGA motherboard. They align fine, but the don’t grip well enough to hold the cooler in place. Metal screws were too big of an ask apparently. I messed around with it a bit, but it also appeared to interfere with the RAM in the nearest slot, so gave up entirely. My advice, pick something else.

I bought it mostly for bling for my wait-till-prices-are-less-insane build of 2021. I wasn’t expecting much from this all aluminium low profile heatsink. It is paired with a Core i5 10400f. It keeps CPU a couple of degree C cooler compared to Stock cooler so that’s a bonus. The max temp CPU reached while playing Cyberpunk 2077 is 69 (Noice) Degree C, while stock cooler was reaching 72. The cooler is really big with low clearance, so be mindful of clearance for your RAM sticks. If you have only 2 RAM slots or if you are planing to use tall RAM sticks, then you may run into problems installing both RAM and this cooler. I can confirm you that it works perfectly with MSI B460-M A-Pro and Crucial Ram.Pros:- Good performance, ideal for 65 watts TDP budget builds.- Comes with ARGB fan- Reasonable priced.Cons:- The fan doesn’t support PWN, so it is always stuck at full speed. You can create a voltage curve in your Bios, if your motherboard supports it but keep in mind that at lower speed LED will go dim, due to lower voltage.- At higher speed it creates a wheezing sound, that can be irritating for some.

The fan itself is fun, but the mounting system is the bane of my existence. Do not buy this fan unless you have an extra tube of thermal paste and too much patience.

Very hard to install, the latch mechanism is retarded.. I was afraid I may damage my motherboard and cpu and end up using the intel stock cooler..

It doesn’t work well with Corsair lighting node pro. I use an adapter to convert lighting node pro connector to normal 5v ARGB, but the RGB on this fan doesn’t work well with this set up. All other RGB fans/leds work fine. The problem is it shows its default rainbow effect when there is no signal to the fan RGB. This can becomes an issue if you use breathing RGB mode.I wish there is a way to turn off default rainbow effect when there is no signal input for the RGB on this fan.
DCH –
This cpu cooler did NOT fit my AM4 socket out-of-box. The product clearly requires some other bracket/adapter to be purchased separately as it was way to big for the socket and the seller made no mention of this whatsoever.
robert o. –
As far as installing it is easy. Make sure power is off and put your finger thru fan blades and attach back clip then do the front one. The led lights worked great for a week then quit working. Their sending out a new one. So over all the fan cools like it should, led lights we shall see.UPDATE: Apparently the LED lights will only go one way,so if you have an ARGB controller that makes the lights rotate in a different directions then the led lights will not work correctly. The led lights travel in a counter clock direction,if you try to rotate them in a clock wise direction the led lights will not work correctly.

I was excited for this cpu cooler as I liked the look and it seemed to fit my needs. Unfortunately it was impossible to mount on my mini itx board.
Daniel C Molnar –
It’s width can make it tricky to reach the clips so best to install before you put in all the other parts but I managed. Love the colours and extremely quiet, very rarely do I hear the fan spin up like if I am doing image editing with multi-core processing. Most games it’s pretty much silent. No problems with overheating as far as I can tell.

The mounting system is a pain in the booty. Took me like 10 minutes just to mount it. The ARGB connectors r cheap af. idk why they couldn’t just use the normal argb connector. The temps r ok. Absolutely horrible. It scratched my cpu from the installation. The direction are basically nonexistent 4 pictures that do not tell you critical information that you absolutely need to know. It is basically a spring loaded aggravation machine. Pros: keeps CPU at 18 Celsius on normal & when converting videos it goes 49-56 CelsiusComes with CPU PasteLight effects are coolFan Still runs quiet when pressure is put on CPUCons: it was hard as hell to snap the latch onto the factory made motherboard AMD bracket (Gigabyte) had to bend it a bit (even though it says it’s AMD Universal) & the last Ram barely had space to fit in.. I was happy it did with a little deftness in the end after the install of Heat sink cooler.. On the bright side I guess that Ram will get some cooling from the big fan too..

Awesome RGB is cool and it keeps my CPU 10° cooler than the stock cooler. A side note I didn’t know you do not need the 2 wires to run RGB you only need them to control RGB. So if you plug in the cooler and just the 3 pin the RGB will still light up you just can’t control the colors.
cookie_monster –
I have no idea how this piece of garbage has an almost 5 star average. The latch system is atrocious and I wish I had known about it before buying this cooler. It has a little metal bar in the center and a latch on each end and you have to really force that metal bar to bend far enough to latch the second one. I could not for the life of me get it to attach to my AM4 motherboard, so I figured I would practice on the Intel compatibility attachment it came with. I managed to get it to latch to that after a very serious effort, but now I can’t get it off. Honestly I’m glad it got stuck to the attachment and not my computer because this $20 cooling unit is not worth breaking my motherboard and CPU. I hate this cooler so much and I never even got to use it. I can’t bring myself to give it 1 star because I never actually got to use it, but for the difficulty of getting it on in the first place, it more than warrants a 2 star.

Well, this is designed poorly. The way that the cooler secures to the bracket is via a metal clip that connects to the plastic bracket. The issue with this? The plastic is weaker than the metal. So mine is connected right now, but the plastic is bent already and the clip is skewed to the side. That sucks because it means that I most likely can’t take this off to swap the processor that is underneath it as I planned to without breaking that plastic. It’s pretty bad.I also installed this on a mATX board and there’s absolutely NO way I can install all of my RAM. The cooler is too wide and the RAM slot closest to the processor is covered by this cooler. It’s not the end of the world for me, but It’s pretty annoying that I can’t upgrade as I want to.The RGB is cute and stuff but if the tab breaks and I can’t install RAM then it’s kind of pointless. Thinking about sending it back.

Worked as expected when installed, did it’s job and looked nice in the process. Then the lights shut off just a few days past the return date and will not turn on. Mounting system is a bit difficult. I’m betting the thermal paste shifted/smeared when attempting to engage the last clamp/buckle.After installing I found the metal clamp tab was covering my ram sockets so I had to remove the clamp (which was extremely difficult) and reseat with the clamps in a vertical connection versus left+right/horizontal.I managed to shift it a bit to allow one stick of ram in the second slot if only by the hair of a flys ass. I won’t be able to occupy the first ram slot with this cooler, unfortunately, but I didn’t plan to anyway so it’s whatevs.Pros:-Looks cool-Not too loud (untested under load)-Pretty basic installation-Outstanding price for RGB.-Looks/feels durable.Cons:-Installing was difficult and unseating the clamps felt risky and seemed to require more force than should be necessary.-Diameter is too wide for my mootherboard, covers ram slot.-Rgb header wire could be longer.-Tight tolerances for ram install.TLDR: Would recommend. 4/5 because brackets were a pain, but no points removed for dimensions because I should have checked dimensions myself to avoid the problem I had.

Love it.best under 25.00 cooler I have personally came across. Im using it for a Ryzen CPU. Easy to install. The RGB is BEAUTIFUL, Vivid and Bright!!! Just installed this last night, so the thermal paste is still “setting” . I have a good case and I use 4 case fans (3 front, 1 back) and my CPU is at 36-38 Celcius while Idle and while Gaming, I tested playing Cyberpunk 2077 at ultra Settings on a 1440 display and the CPU temp never went over 58 degrees celcius. Yeah, Im very happy. Its also a very warm summer day, so factor that in a bit too.Pros-Beautiful, addressable RGBEasy to instal (I used it for AMD Ryzen)Good instructionsQuiet!!! Very QuietGreat price.Comes with a tube of thermal paste ( I used my own though)Cons-It will not jump out of the box and install itself no matter how much you beg…Highly recommend. Its a capable and Gorgeous Cooler.

This thing was so tight to fit onto an AMD motherboard I thought I was gonna break the cooler or mobo, however the mounting method for AMD is smart design and works perfectly fine if you’re not going to be over locking your cpu.

Very difficult to install. Does not keep the cpu cool. Heat sink just way to small. Nice RGB but temperature is the most important. Had to buy another cooler.
Bhosale –
Ram slot near to thr processor socket cant be used as the size of the cooler is too large. Bracket for holding the cooler was defective. Not a effective cooling solution as the idle temperatures were measured at 50 to 60 degrees all the time and 85 to 95 degrees while gaming.

So there’s only one problem: the clasp/spring that attaches to the 4 mounting pins is quite difficult to attach. I’d recommend attaching the clasp first and then putting the 4 pins in. This might be a bit tedious but far easier and less nerve-wracking than attaching the clasp second. Once it was installed, however, it was quite nice. I did have to move my out-take fan a bit… but I’m also re-using an unconventional tower. Those who buy a tower with plenty of room shan’t have any problems. Overall, a good product.

It does look great, but the first one I ordered was having issues with the lights, and the it’s a little bit hard to install.

Lo usé para una computadora slim ryzen 7 casi tan bueno como el stock, obviamente por el case el flujo de aire no es tan bueno pero aún así superó expectativas, sí lo recomiendo.

Every other review covered why I like this. The only downside is that the entire unit is HUGE! I have a mix of ram. 1/2 with big heat spreaders and the other 1/2 with none. The fins on this cooler is already blocking the first 2 banks of ram! If I ever wanted to remove the first 2 ram modules, I would have to remove the cooler since it blocks the ram from removal/installation.I’m using this on my media server so it’s not like I’ll be doing upgrades quite often. I’m an old man and the flashing light would bother me if it was next to me. Since this is on a media server, I can see it from across the room. If I see the flashing lights, the server is on. Great product.

Es es mejor de su clase fácil de instalar y muy eficiente

Excelente disipador add bajo costo

The product looks cool. That’s about it for the pros. Even at this price, I was hoping for slightly better cooling Gotham a default cooler, but no. Also very hard to install, especially for a first time builder or one without a few extra tools.
luis ramirez –

This cooler is advertised way above it’s actual capabilities as a cpu cooler. The mounting plate isn’t even the size of the standard cpu heatsink. I tried this on an Amd X4 860k and idle temps were never under 60C. To compare, the stock wraith cooler holds a steady 35C idle temp. Also, the mounting mechanism required entirely too much force to attach. I had to push so hard I was afraid the board was going to crack. 1 star because it lights up.
vance prater –
radiator blades were bent, fans had dust and hair in it, has no instructions for any installation, mounting system has bent and melted edges from previous use. had old used cpu thermal paste dried on bottom.

Me gusto mucho el producto es perfecto para mi necesidad, es encesario usarlo con RAM LP

This is for show only. It performs behind the stock cooler and will not cool adequately for any advanced settings including XMP. You are paying for the looks alone on this. Pay a bit more and get a better cooler if you want to overlook or run XMP.

I used this fan when rebuilding my brother’s PC. He’s running RX 6400/ I7 so he didn’t need a turbo powered fan. Easy to install and has thermal paste applied already but more wouldn’t hurt. It’s got the lights that he seems to like and it’s very quiet. Decently priced so I definitely recommend

Fan and cooler work great. My board is an Asus Maximus VI Hero. My ram would not fit in slot one with heat sink installed. I’d recommend taking the board out of the case to install the fan. Takes a fair amount of pressure to clip the latch. I don’t have an ARGB header on my board but the fan defaulted to RGB mode without the data and ground wire hooked up. Just running from the standard CPU fan header.

Difficult to install but value for money

El ventilador es funcional y vistoso con el RGB que tiene, aunque en mi caso después de 6 meses de uso el RGB a veces prende y a veces no, aunque el ventilador sigue girando y haciendo su función, por ello la calificación

GAMERS BEWARE. What you pay for is what you get. As cool as it might look, it definitely doesn’t keep your CPU cool. With this fan, when gaming my CPU temps hit 91 C which is just a big no no. After this failed attempt I’ve decided to just go with an AIO cooler. If you plan on gaming and putting your computer through the ringer, this is not it chief.

Easy to install it does the job with very little noise

Pretty awesome fan for the price. Looks nice too.

Not satisfied at all bought better a week later

So what I didn’t like about this is that I you are adding in 4 banks of ram you will need to get shorter ram sticks to fit it properly under the heatsink i am using vengeance ram sticks an I could of only add in 3 sticks not 4 but with shorter ram sticks yes u can add in 4. But other than that it works wonderfully on my lga1151 board

My go-to CPU cooler to go along with buying used parts and building PCs to sell. Looks great and although the mount doesn’t fit my favorite cheap OEM motherboard (Lenovo M73) due to the holes being too big, I can still attatch it with thin cables I cut from old useless case fans. Temps are good with a i5 4590 (85w CPU I think?), They don’t seem to reach 70C. I don’t use the included thermal paste but it’ll probably do the job alright. RGB was able to connect to my Cooler Master case’s RGB which was all controlled by the reset switch. Really convenient!

Disipa bien el calor, en procesadores de hasta 65 watts… Es muy silencioso, el detalle es que se hace ancho en la parte de arriba y en mi caso, me cubrió un banco de memorias (aunque son memorias muy bajas).

Keeps the CPU very cool

Was super excited about this, but when it arrived, it turned out to be super hard to install and it only worked for about two weeks and now the ball bearings are out and is making a loud noise.

Rgb is bright, but if you want to use argb first make sure that your motherboard has 5v 3pin header, otherwise you cannot control the rgb with software. Also don’t connect the rgb pins to 12v 4pin header otherwise the rgb with blow away.
Jair A. Gomez –
Really affordable and cools well. Just weird and more effort than it should be for installation. No rear bracket and no metal screws just plastic. Only one speed setting so it’s louder than one would want it to be. Also pay attention to which way you install it. It might block RAM stick installation so either put them in first or rotate the orientation of cooler making sure that the bracket as well is rotated to latch on.

The mounting mechanism is really comfusing and I even combined a nail with the hook to early and I couldnt get it out so I had to use 3 since the one I screwed up couldnt be used

Covers ram slots. It’s too wide.

It does the job if you are looking for a simple air cooler with an led fan. Upside, if you are not using this on a gaming rig, it does the job. Downside, with most of the mainline Motherboards, especially the 115x boards, the profile of your RAM might be an issue since the proximity of the DIMM slots might limit your options[this went into my son’s desktop, so DIMM_2 and DIMM_ 4 were the choice on his MSI Board]. Also, given that you have the power of both the fan and the RGB led to consider, the normal CPU power header might not have enough umph, so you might want to consider the Pump AIO header to plug into. I tried the CPU, and the fan would start and stop, and there was a dim glow from the led ring. Like I said, it’s not bad for what it needs to do, but some of the structural elements, and power requirements issues are something to factor in before you buy.
Madbawss –
It probably work fine. Just a run of the mill cooler. Not great for smaller boards. It was too wide and interferes with the ram so I had to get a different cooler.
