No Doubt it’s a trusted brand and performing well 4 Stars for it and 1 less because of the packaging its too loose and improper for a fragile and expensive products like this. Easy to install and works fine. I would have given 5 stars if It came with necessary cables and screws. If you do not have the necessary cables and screws in hand, you can not install the disk immediately and check whether it works or not and if it is not is not working, you can not return the item.

i got the HDD today, but unfortunately, the HDD packaging is not that good . but i hvae installed the HDD (you just need two screw and 1 power and Sata cable thats it ) then from my PC >>> manage >>disk management >> then initialize disk and Format in GPT style that it then make the pertion a you got your drives ..

Worth considering before changing laptop
So far a good product..If your laptop is slow and you are thinking to change it consider changing the hard drive to ssd.I have 7 yrs old Dell vostro3546 laptop working perfectly but from past few months facing issue and damm slowness tried formatting it as well but didn’t workout.Ao consider changing the HDD to SSD.And as I thought its again started working like a charm…

4 TB has its Storage advantages & problem with windows 10.
There seems some problem in windows 10 when HDD connected internally. Of 2 partitions, 2nd one could not be accessed for formatting. Had to return for replacement. This time did not connect internally. Bought a sata to usb hub and used it. No problem encountered. One thing: Initialise HDD with GPT and not with MBR. Because firt partion is 1.99 tb.Gaming : did not try.

Seagate is always best.After sales, when it comes to customer service – Seagate is always the best for last 15years in Chennai to my knowledge. I have never faced issues with Seagate while replacing the drives under warranty. Five years ago, I’ve replaced a drive where it’s warranty is going to expire in two days, still Seagate has replaced it without causing any delay/hassle – amazing support from their team as always.

This product is no worth for gaming but it’s good as surveillance storage device. It works in 6GB/s sata by maximum bandwidth is about 40 MB/s write 60 MB/s read 10 times slower than Samsung evo 850 ssd

packing of the hard disk is careless…..As this is mechanical hard disk so packing must be covered from sponge or Thermocol or air packing bag. Also packed from all side so hdd can’t move from inside…I would like to advise to the seller please be careful when dispatch this type of product, packing must be taken care.

A prefect budget hdd
Decent hdd for the price. I got it when it was on sale (the price was 1k lower than it’s rival WD in the same segment, at that time).I paired it my already installed WD 500gb 7400 rpm and it’s working flawlessly.For guys who are super concerned about space in their cabinet, this hdd is 2x smaller form factor than WD in the same segment. Ofcource I’m talking height wise.For guys who prefer quiet pc, this hdd does not even makes the hum sound few other hdd from others brands tend to make. I tested it on higher loads.Overall, a must have hdd to have if you are on a budget and require decent space.

I purchased some other brand’s SSD about a week ago but the SSD didn’t even install the OS and when I tested with a software it had bad sectors. I had to wait for another week to repurchase this SSD but boy was it worth it? Absolutely!I finally have a super fast pc as this is my first ssd ever!

Bought it for INR3299.Better than WD.Performance is ok. Not the best but u don’t have much options. Either Seagate or WD.I choose the former.Windows 10 boot time with 20 installed apps and games is 24 secs and shut down time is nearly 20 secs.If u want more storage than speed then definitely it is a better choice than SSDs😀😀

After reading a lot of negative reviews I was not confident of buying online. I finally took my chances and bought the 4TB variant. Product was well packed and worked on 1st boot.Immediately put it on extended 7 Hrs. diagnostic test to check for any bad sectors. Lucky enough to find NONE.Read speed during tests found to be 100-150 MBPS. Write speed is 60-80 MBPS.This is decent for a desktop drive considering the amount of storage you getting for price. Good VFM.This is not for gaming, although you can run games from this drive but loading times will be higher.Skip this HDD and buy an SSD if gaming is your preference.

Being an SSD Drive, please do not defragment this disk. It reduces the life of the disk. Actual size comes to only 440 GB. This is being used as OS ops disk and needed to be freshly installed. Worked smooth as a whistle.

Try changing the RAM and relplace the HDD with a SSD before you think of replacing your computer.
I replaced my existing 500 GB HDD with a 240 GB SSD. I don’t need too much space. Additionally, I increased the RAM from 2GB to the maximum my desktop could take viz 8 GB.The results are magical. The desktop, which I had almost given up on , is performing brilliantly.

Got a brand new HDD
I checked the manufacture and it is Dec 2022 it brand new. Only dissapointment was they didn’t provide the SATA cable. Rest all it’s efficient and a gud purchase.

I got this hdd at RS.3000 in offer days. It’s 7200 rpm.The loading time very less and perfect for gaming.Please buy it without thinking. Worth the money. It’s a sata hdd. It doesn’t require any extra power supply. The data cable and power supply are in one port inbuilt.I think packaging could be better but overall it’s a very good one to buy.

The product was perfect and very easy to install, the online warranty registration process is also very easy. I have used the hard disk to install on my laptop hp 2000-2202TU and it works great now. The packaging was not good which made me suspect the originality of the product however all the doubts were gone once warranty registration was done. Overall a really good buy.

People are rating 1 Star for their foolish ness. Drives over 2 TB needs GPT Partitions to format properly.This is how you setup HDD over 2 TB.[IMP] – Most of the cases Windows have a Master Boot Record (MBR) as Default. It uses the standard BIOS partition table.[IMP] – GUID Partition Table (GPT) disks use Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI). One advantage of GPT disks is that you can have more than four partitions on each disk. GPT is also required for disks larger than two terabytes (TB).You can change a disk from MBR to GPT partition style as long as the disk contains no partitions or volumes.The DRIVE is only good for storage purpose and not for active read and writes. Its only 1.6 GigaBit read write.

First I bought WD HDD it was DOA, then I ordered this and it works without pain. Copying speed can vary, for NVMe to HDD transfer speed could be as fast as 160MB/s, where as HDD to HDD speed is 65-80 MB/s. Absolutely awesome for storing videos and games (though some larger games might benefit from SSD)

I had to disassemble an old SMPS to get mounting screws for the same. Received a used product initially. Seller replaced with fresh product.

Delivered at time. good packing. received at good condition.original product. mfg.date – jan’2023. checked with seagate co. says warranty upto 2025.Available space is 931GB out of 1TB. 70GB is already occupied.If system is BIOS booting. on installing Windows10pro, it shows DRIVE (0) partitions & can’t install. need to convert to MBR format before install. its done.speed seems to be normal.best for storage other than OS. But its works fine without any lag. Good to go.recommended.

First drive died on installation, ordered another replacement, worked well
Initially the product i received was not working, cause after installation of drive pc was stuck at boot up screen & not booting up. Then i applied for replacement & second drive which I received was working fine no issues. Drive is good for installation of large games, but after installing around 10 games it gets full, so suggest if you are a person who likes to store games, then go for 2TB 7000RPM DRIVE.

It has great speed for work, but if you want to play games like Forza Horizon, then you should go for 7200rpm HDD. I’ve found while playing it is using 100% read/write speed, so definitely this is not fast enough for gaming at ultra settings.

You cannot go wrong with Barracuda
When it comes to choice between Seagate and WD, it becomes very tough. Both are equally good and offer awesome performance at a great value. I have had an amazing experience with Seagate in the past as well, so just decided to go with it and as always, it did not disappoint. Personally I prefer Seagate over WD as seagate offers slightly better after sales support, but when it comes to the actual product, I endorse both Seagate and WD.

Performance is very good for the price but packaging is very poor
Bang for your buck if you are looking for a high capacity HDD for media back up.The pricing and performance is ok, but beware the packaging is pathetic and my part had actual scrapes and damages. But it worked fine so i started using the same. If the seller can take 5 minutes of his time to pack this item properly and i would not mind paying 100 rs extra for the same, it would be better.

Bad experience with previous barracuda HDD
This one i brought for my sis as they needed this brand only, my personal experience is very bad as more than 50% of the drives which i brought to my friends and my personal use is not working.. the remaining disks also making crik crik noise while using and while doing file transfers…don’t know about this new models, will update my review after few months again…

I got this hdd at RS.3000 in offer days. It’s 7200 rpm.The loading time very less and perfect for gaming.Please buy it without thinking. Worth the money. It’s a sata hdd. It doesn’t require any extra power supply. The data cable and power supply are in one port inbuilt.I think packaging could be better but overall it’s a very good one to buy.

This is my first time using an SSD. I updated my 5 yr old laptop with this. It’s really fast. Boot up speed is roughly around 10 secs, I have never counted it but sometimes it feels even less than 10 secs. Laptop feels snappy. I saved buying a new laptop by upgrading the old one with this SSD. Now it feels better than new. I do regular work and not much gaming. It gets the work done pretty nicely. I replaced my HDD with this SSD and mounted the HDD with a caddy in place of my optical disk drive(which I almost never use).

When it comes to HDD, no other brand comes close to Barracuda. I have one for last 3 years which still works perfectly, I got this as an extention. Amazingly fast with 7200 rpm, smooth loading times for gaming. SSDs are new and flashy but this one is a classic marvel.

Reliable product. Stress Test for atleast 2 days for performance as well as bad sectors. Value for money if you can get it for 6-7k. There is not much difference between WD or Seagate. Get whichever is on more discount.For more durable drives go for Seagate Ironwolf/ WD reds. They maybe on the higher sides but you won’t regret spending that much.

My laptop was so slow during startup but the boot time is less than 3-4 sec. The program laging was solved. Perform search very fast. Best part is I am using it in my dvd rom slot using caddy. Boot time just 12 sec on a old machine and ur expirience of operating windows will be changed for ever ur pc will become very responsive.I dont know much diff between tlc and qlc ssd’s but this ssd just improved my pc performance from booting pc and softwares in 1-2 min to opening it in 10 secs.Really recommend buying this product.

First it was not detectable. Then I formated and made partition. After that ti works fine. If you face same problem then just install Windows for once on that device and ti will work fine. Data transfer rate os also good. In other hand there was no paper for warranty. At the time of lockdown its price rises up. So I purchased it at higher price. Overall it is ok. And I made a average deal.

Got for 2399 mint fresh Oct 2020 mfg.As another reviewer has written that Adata Su650 has 2M hours of Op btw failures (officially) but this seagate has only 1M …..but that is wrong, the official statement for this model is 1.8M Hours in the description and secondly I have had seagate 500GB HDD for 10 years now and it has been used quite rigourously and finally it is failing after 33000+ hours of usage while the official stats was only 20,000 hours.From personal use and given Seagate’s rep and experience, I would prefer the tested and experienced. Seagate also gives a free tool for monitoring etc..At a given price range all SSD’s would perform for the similar period of time with similar speeds……speeds dependent on other factors as hardware, usage etc.So cost, experience, preference is all that matters really.

I have to replace my 500 GB SSD with this 1 TB HDD because of storage constraint and some times the SSD gave write errors.

Nice product with less than average packaging.
The hard disk has a nice form factor and is slightly thinner than a WD 1TB harddisk. I also checked the disk in harddisk dentinal and came out fine. Though, my problem was the lack of proper packaging. While the drive was undamaged, I cannot say that about the packaging. It came with only a flimsy plastic box and the outer packaging was not even a proper cardboard box. Except that the product is as good as advertised.

Cheap and best it’s segate anyway just buy
System boots up in less than 15 seconds best for daily use I even run jupyter lab and train deep learning models on this ,no lag at all you can even run Adobe Photoshop and play games too it’s that fast , for heavy usage of applications 24/7 usage buy segate 120 series .segate is always best for after sales support not just that this provides 3 yr warranty it really lasts longer based on your usage. heavy continuous usage segate 120 , or else this one is a good pick anyway

When I seen the review of this product
When I seen the review of this product I was little worried that how it will come to me like all are saying that packaging is not good but when I finally received the packaging was not good, anyway I checked the disk 1TB was new and just I installed in my CPU and it’s really working nice, I am writing this review after using for 3 month, so i happy.

Value for Money Storage!
Does it’s job as per the item description.Usually provides consistent 180-190 Mbps while writing.This can be used as secondary storage for gaming PC where you can keep Media and Game setups.Prefer SSDs as installation drive as this drive is 5400RPM and will show some loading time if used for game instalations.
