Works well, Excel is really excelent. Word to complicated for home use. This is original software. It shoud be cheaper. OK for four stars.

I retired from teaching at the end of May 2020. As a teacher, my school district provided us with free Microsoft 365 Office Software. After I retired, I no longer had logon credentials with my district. I learned this the hard way because I saw that ALL my Microsoft files were licensed to my former school district. Though all my personal files were stored on my computer at home, I removed the school district license. Then I discovered that I could not open ANY Microsoft files at all. I bought this allegedly “stand alone” version of MS Office, because I didn’t want to get an subscription. I have my own license, and now everything is groovy.

Office 2019 Home and Student gave me the Office Applications I needed on my PC. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote are included. Could not read “.XPS” files, but I found that Microsoft has a free download that took care of that. The download and installation went quickly and smoothly on my Windows 10 PC. No Technical Support required.

I had to replace my windows 7 computer last year, I had Microsoft office on it, back in the day when you could purchase a disc and download it. I could not open my Word or Excel documents I transferred to a thumb drive from the old computer with my new Windows 10 system 😕 I purchased this, it arrived within a few days. It was a key card and downloaded quickly on my new computer. I can now access all my documents I had saved and couldn’t be happier 👍🏻

For daily computer use, I have an Acer Aspire, Home & Student is everything I need. I followed the provided instructions and had no problems with downloading and launching/using the apps. Outlook isn’t a personal concern as I have it on my cellphone, and I can download it through the app store on my desktop if the need arises. I much prefer this option over an annual subscription – just download and go indefinitely. I’m unsure why “thickness” is something the retailer would like me to give a 1-5 star rating to, but the product is neat and compact (as pictured).

Soon MS Office 2010 will not be supported by MS so it is time to update with latest version. I do not like the subscription version so MS Office 2019 H&S is the best alternative for my purposes. Once installed most of the functions were familiar and the old Word files could be loaded in compatability mode. Hopefully this new version will serve my needs as long as the old version.
