Best ssd among crucial and wd in this price segment
First I bought crucial ssd and the temperature was going above 70 degrees when files were copied. Because of such high temperature, the ssd reduces it’s speed and so there is no difference between a hdd and an ssd. But Kingston is 100 times better here. The max temperature reached was 42 and there is no performance drop as well. The speed while benchmarking on both is almost similar. So why go with crucial when you have the king of SSD’s. Totally satisfied with the purchase. I highly recommend the Kingston one instead of crucial and western digital (both doesn’t have heat sink). The temperature says it all. Hope this review is helpful to some one.

If am not wrong it’s the cheapest ssd avaible right now in the market which giving you 480 gb of storage for this price i have samsung 850 evo and this drive installed in my system and this one works like a champ it’s bit slower compare to the samsung one cause of the sata controller and the rapid software which utilize the RAM in order to speed up the SSD, but if you are looking for a drive to store games and in general want to upgrade from your HDD , just go for it you’ll not regret it

I have a dell vostro 1015 which i purchased more than 9 years ago. At first, i was skeptical whether i should put an SSD into it because:1) i use this laptop for occasional video watching and net surfing. WFH from this laptop was a nightmare.2) it runs on SATA 2 connection which will be a real bottleneck in its speed.I didn’t want to purchase a new laptop as it will not have any usability. so i thought maybe i should proceed with this. Truthfully, best decision i ever made for my laptop. Boot time decreased significantly, apps launch without any delay….. operating the laptop is now fun in itself.So, i went ahead, upgraded the ram from 2 to 4gig(that was maximum it cud be upgraded to), cleaned my laptop and bought a new battery, and now i think it can serve me for 3-4 more years before it cud be retired.If you are planning to buy an ssd, just go ahead…trust me, it’s a boon for the laptops. Its lightweight, power-saving and lightning fast.

Solid state drives should be the only option. HDD in this day and age are a joke. They’re slow as hell and get spoiled in a few years causing you to lose all your data and memories. I did and am depressed as hll these days. This SSD is so fast that I started shaming my dead HDD as I realised what exactly I’d been missing out on. Do yourself a favour and remove your crap HDD and replace it with this beautiful piece of hardware and your laptop will thank you. You’ll understand what I mean by that.

No need to buy Samsung SSD s this one is fulfilled my purpose. Before my windows 10 is very slow the latest 1903 update and take to boot around 3 to 4 minutes. One reason is old (FX 8350) processor and my games fps drops (GTX 970) because of the motherboard 4+1 configuration which do not have heatsink. After i purchase this one , this one saved me i have no lags no fps drops in games and boot just in 5sec. Anyway need to upgrade my entire system. I strongly recommend all of u r looking for ssd.

Few terms that you should be familiar with:TLC (Triple level cell): Single NAND cell can store 3 bits, therefore SSD will be cheaper, slower and deteriorate faster but will have higher capacity in similarly dense SLC/MLC SSDs. (You don’t need to worry about SSD wear, this SSD is rated for at least 1 million hours MTBF.Dual channel controller: Basically two concurrent streams of data querying capacity.DRAM cache: High speed memory embedded on SSD to speedup access time of frequently accessed files.Kingston SA400 is a TLC Dual Controller Single Core (Phison PS3111-S11, last gen’s most popular controller) SSD with no DRAM cache, pretty much the cheapest SSD can go.Therefore it is slower and dumber as compared to Samsung 860 EVO, Kingston UV500, Crucial MX500. But it’s also extremely cheaper.The attached image shows the read and write speed of the SSD but these numbers are mostly misleading. If you are going for a SSD just to speed up the overall experience and snappiness of the OS, you should be looking for 4KB Queue depth of 1 and single threaded workload’s read and write speed because that’s the most common work load.Now, a typical 5400 RPM HDD will have 4KiB Q1T1 speeds around 0.5 MiBPS read and 1.5 MiBPS write whereas you can see in the image that this SSD has ~35 MiBPS read and ~82 MiBPS write which is exponentially faster than HDD.So, going with this SDD will have an exponential increase in speed as compared to HDD, while going for MLC/SLC SSD with DRAM cache and dual channel controller will have marginal increase in speed as compared to this SSD but a much more increase in cost.Therefore, if you are tight on budget, go with this SSD without a doubt. But, if you have a specialized workload that can take advantage of higher queue depth speeds, multi threaded performance or sequential speeds and you have no issue in spending the extra money then go for more expensive ones. But, I would suggest to go with extremely high performing SSD like NVMe ones that directly communicate with the CPU using PCIe lanes, if you really want something above SA400.

Mounting arrangement for desktop is not provided.
For mounting in desktop, you have to buy mounting arrangement along with power and data cable separately. Otherwise this SSD’s performance is superb. My computer starts within 30 secs with Window 10.

This is my first ssd when I Installed it in my system the performance become very good…..in hdd windows 10 booting time is 2 min 30 sec but after install this booting time is 15 sec only.I also used linux and it increase the performance many times in compre to hddIf you looking for a good ssd then go for it…..If you confused about Samsung ssd and this one then i recommend this….. because if you use Samsung ssd in i3 like processor then ther is not much difference between both of them

I dont think someone needs to give it a second thought before making this purchase. SSD upgrade is a must. The PC now feels turbocharged. On this specific brand, all my PDs and memory cards are Kingston. TRUST FACTOR worked for me too!At this price, it has the best value for money that one can get. Cheapest and greatest! A normal SSD
I have been using HP 15 ay078tx laptop for almost 3.5 years and I run pretty much latest windows versions (Insider version) and dual os with Ubuntu along side. And all this on one HDD with many partitions. I installed this SSD for windows drive and (Windows) boot time has reduced from 2 COD mobile multiplayer matches to COD mobile load time. And above are the speed test on drive. You can guess which is which. The physical installation is relatively easy. No problems in detection by bios. But copying windows drive from HDD to new SSD was slow (Ob bcoz almost 140gb reading from HDD). But no complications after that. Not even with dual OS. Want any suggestions or instructions? Comment to this….

My pc boot up in like 20 seconds, and thus the reviews says it can bot up your system in 5-6 seconds, i didn’t get these results, my os os windows 8,My rig- ryzen 5 2600, 8gb ddr4 3000 mhz, mobo b450 tomhawk, 120gb Kingston ssd, 1tb seagate sshd.

The most valuable SSD in this price segment.
Installing this SSD definitely made my PC boot much faster. The apps launch at an instant and it feels like using a ver high end PC. For this price point this is one of the best SSD you can get. If you need even more higher speed I would suggest you to get samsung evo. Though there may be a 20-30% increase in performance that’s all. But again its double the cost of Kingston. The only part where this SSD lacks is the build quality. Yes it’s very light weight but the plastic just feels very much brittle. Feels like it may break easily. Other than that this is one of the best SSD out there.

After hard disc of my CV laptop crashed I started search for replacement. While searching I found SSD for laptop I searched more for SSD and finally decided to buy SSD instead of HDD. I found Kingston SSD and I decided to go for the same. After installing the SSD which can be done by yourself at home with just basic tools. I found my older pc working really fast with this SSD. It is just like performance boost to my eight years old laptop. Just go for this SSD.

This is DRAM-less ssd hence the performance is poor in random 4kib compared to more expensive Kingston uv500 and Samsung SSDs. It’s get worse once it’s starts filling up so don’t expect incredible speeds. But then again at this price this is most affordable SSD you will get.If your laptop has hard drive then any cheap SSD will be great improvement to boot up time and game loading time. But few points need to be consider.1. 120gb is so little and so slow for windows OS so i recommend atleast 240gb.2. If you can afford, buy DRAM SSD, it give huge boost to speed and longevity. Eg. Samsung evo, Kingston uv500, wd blue.3. Mostly SSD product description tell nothing about DRAM hence you have to search before buying.4. For cheap price, DRAM-less SSD is good to go but keep in mind that they wear out pretty quickly and performance is very low compared to DRAM SSD.5. When using SSD, certain settings in windows OS need to be changed for better performance and longevity so keep in mind that.6. SSD writes are limited so we have to choose wisely which SSD to buy.

A necessary change for an old laptop
Just transferred all my data from hdd to ssd took about 2.5 hours to get tht done.. Change is drastic. To put it into perspective I have an i3 acer laptop that I bought in 2011 August.The drive itself is extremely light almost to the point that I actually thought it was empty until I connected it to the laptop.Couple of thingsu need a 3rd party software to enable recognition of the device.Plus after migration from hdd to ssd do replace the drive inside the laptop as OS won’t boot if ssd is connected via usbAfter everything is done u need to change the boot drive to the ssd in the bios

Turbocharged my old laptop
I have an 8 yr old DELL Studio 15 laptop which works fine. I use it primarily for gaming along with some light use like learning new stuff like Python & watching movies. Lately, it had become terribly slow. After several tests, I determined that the hard drive (WD 7200 rpm 320GB SATA) was pulling the performance down of an otherwise brilliant laptop. Currently available laptops in the budget range don’t have much more to offer than what this one already has & the latest gaming laptops are way too expensive. So I swapped out the old HDD with this one & reinstalled Windows 10 and other stuff that I use normally. Now it feels like the laptop is on steroids!!!

Best entry-level SSD for cheap
Using it for quite some time now and still no slow downs. Excellent SSD for the cheap. Has TLC NAND instead of QLC which is great considering I bought this SSD for just Rs.2300. It’s a great choice for someone building their first PC or replacing their laptop hard drive in a limited budget.

It’s probably a QLC drive. Speeds are good enough for use as a boot drive. Write speeds are lower if you’re transfering large file. Overall if you’re stuck with a mechanical hard drive, installing this at a low price point will breathe new life into your PC. Build quality is good. I installed mine into a laptop. Works fine! I also bought a Crucial Bx500 SSD. I will give a comparative experience later.

It is worth for the price and it is fastI am having issue with disk usage is 100% and I tried all the YouTube videos but they are temporary solution then I decided to change the hdd to ssd. Now disk usage is not more then 10% and its working really fast.Even I compared with samsung top end ssd’s but they are fast just 5 sec to 10 sec max. I think we can take that 5sec delay comparing to the price etc factors. Now Photoshop, Lightroom etc applications are working without any lag and fast.

One of the finest purchases I have ever had for the home PC. It just boosted the speed of the PC like anything. I can now start any heavy software just in a blink of an eye. The games are also starting up very fast. Just to keep everyone informed, it does not do any changes to the GPU of your pc so do not think it as a replacement of the graphics card. It would just start up all the applications quite smoothly. Mostly does a great deal of good to rendering work. If you are creating/editing a video the final output would be rendered much faster than a normal HDD would do. Fantastic product!

This ssd is extremely fast. I replaced it with my laptop 5400rpm hdd. Sony vaio vpceh35en. Now my laptop is as fast as new ThinkPad or Apple laptops, though my processor is 2nd gen i3 with 2 cores, 2.3ghz. After putting this ssd my laptop boot time reduced and now it boots within a few seconds, white previously it used to take more than 2 minutes. Any large softwares like Photoshop cs6, premier pro cs6, Illustrator cs6, Eclipse, Android Studio, Adobe pdf, Chrome browser, Firefox, Opera, Word,Excel, PowerPoint, etc fully within max 3-5sec, which previously used to take almost a minute to launch specially after boot. Write speed has also increase but I have not measured yet so cannot give any opinion. Even my battery backup increased so much. Previously while booting the laptop battery reduces to 7%-8% but now it reduces only 1% -2%. It’s because ssd has no physical moving parts while hdd has small motor which makes the disc rotate. In ssd all the data are always ready to use but in hdd it has to search the data throughout the disc by rotating it which results slowness. The ssd is very light in weight compared to the hdd. But my product came to my with a torned packed. Shame on you appario retail. Another point is that I am using it on Windows 7, if you use this on Windows 10 then you can more faster boot time and faster app launch time because Windows 10 is a very optimized OS compare to Windows 7 and MacOs. If you have a good processor and high speed ram with Windows 10 then I can assure you that using this ssd you laptop or PC will run many times faster than Macbook pro. Though MacBook pro has m.2 nvme ssd but Windows 10 is more optimized.

I bought the SSD to make my old PC faster.
Kingston, I am a fanboy of Kingston; since the day I got my first RAM from Kingston back about 2011, and still using them. Earlier SSDs were costly but recently, so I bought this item twice from TPS Technologies. I used this one to make my old PC faster and ready for Windows 10. This is a 240 GB SSD but after format I got 223 GB of space, which was OK with NTFS. Because NTFS takes that much space to keep various information. After installing Windows 10, the PC responded faster then I expected, it went like FLASH! I never used any other SSD but this Kingston SSD seemed to be perfect for any user with budget accessory. It comes with Kingston SSD Health monitory software downloadable from Kingston site.

I have removed my old Toshiba HDD (made it external hard drive now!) and installed Kingston SSD 240GB in my Sony Vaio laptop which is 10 years old.This has definitely improved my very old laptop in terms of boot, transfer speed etc.,Installation : Barely it took 10mins to replace and anyone can do it!Boot speed: earlier it took 2mins approx but now less than 15secs and improved reboot time as well.Performance: Chrome, teams opens in quick secs!This is not fastest like Samsung SSD’s but its very good product worth its price. I bought it for Rs.2800Con:Only thing I would say is packaging could have been better.

I won’t lie, I had some trouble changing the boot option from my HDD to this SSD. But once you are done with that, you’ll notice the improvement right after the first boot. I am using my old HP 245 G4 laptop more frequently after installing the SSD as it is much faster now. A much needed upgrade for laptops/pc.

I got this installed in a laptop which I bought in 2008, which is a budget laptop from that time. Got windows 7 installed. The boot time is about 40 Seconds and shutdown is 15 seconds. Battery life has improved by 50 percentage or more. It runs very well and it’s performance can only be seen to be believed. Highly recommend to swap out SATA to SSD even for new laptops.

Write speed has reduced over time.
I bought this SSD in 2019 and have been using it since 4 years now as a boot drive. My pc boots up in 3 second still. 1TB out of 40 TBW so far. Read performance of the SSD is good. Had no issues with the drive.But I ran benchmarks today and found the write performance has reduced to mere 50 MB/s, which is much slower than my 2.5 inch HDD at 120 MB/s. I am not sure if this is due to aging or because it was in use boot drive. I will keep a track of the performance in regular intervals and share it here.

For mounting in desktop, you have to buy mounting arrangement along with power and data cable separately. Otherwise this SSD’s performance is superb. My computer starts within 30 secs with Window 10.

Temperature on heavy load – ~48c and its normalDownload Crystal disk info, kingston ssd manager, Speccy to better monitor your SSD life,Temperature,Bad blocks etc.My 6 year old laptop ran very slow with its 5400 rpm hard drive and it took almost 45 seconds to boot and 1 min 20 seconds to reboot, so i thought of buying a new laptop. But after watching some youtube videos, i thought that i should give SSD a try. And it was the best decision i made. After plugging the SSD in place of hard drive the laptop booted in only 5 seconds and rebooted in 10 seconds.

good side-it is ssd, you know. it will not disappoint you. very lightweight, value for money. once you use ssd you will never want to switch to those hdd. i notice that after i replace hdd with ssd, fan noise gone, heat from processor side gone. and i carefully google about life span about ssd, they say don’t use at least 10% of the total storage. The more storage you use the more your ssd life span decrease. so bad side is. I SHOULD HAVE BUY LARGER STORAGE SSD. NOW I KNOW. ITS MY FAULT. but still way better than hdd.

It is worth for the price and it is fastI am having issue with disk usage is 100% and I tried all the YouTube videos but they are temporary solution then I decided to change the hdd to ssd. Now disk usage is not more then 10% and its working really fast.Even I compared with samsung top end ssd’s but they are fast just 5 sec to 10 sec max. I think we can take that 5sec delay comparing to the price etc factors. Now Photoshop, Lightroom etc applications are working without any lag and fast.

A very good add on for your old PC
I recently upgraded my old desktop using this SSD. The improvement was surprisingly good. I have ubuntu 20 installed on h61 motherboard and i3 processor. It was taking more than 1 minute to bootup but now It is booting up in less than 10seconds. Also I can feel most of the applications are opening instantly. It is a good investment for your outdated PC (for new pc’s I would recommend the one with m.2 interfaces)

Bought it about 2 days ago , fitted in my ideapad 330 which was just crawling whenever booted earlier with an hdd and now all the problems have just vanished , the slowness , heat , noise everything is gone . And furthermore I have experienced significant increase in battery life !! So as the review says go for it(Note : At least try to go for 240Gb model , as you may regret choosing 120 Gb ….. Just Trust me Also note that this is DRAMless SSD which have significantly reduced lifespan as compared to their counterparts, hence the shorter 3 Year warranty.)

Windows users :I have an entry level laptop . I put the ssd and windows runs smoothly now ! Even the animations ! If you have an entry level laptop and if you want to do normal web browsing and stuffs , the upgrade will be so much worth it for you !Even if you are a power user , with more than the basic tasks , it is recommended ,but a better laptop will be more useful with an ssd for you .I find it improve my laptop speed by 200% . But no improvements will be there in place you where you expect a cpu to work!Linux users :Only launching applications and boot time will be helped if you are a linux user ! Gnome animations wont improve ! This will improve the performance. , but wasnt much visible as it was in windows . Maybe its because i have an entry level laptop .

WOW.. Amazing Drive
Wow.. just WOW! I was planning to buy a new laptop as my current one Dell Inspiron 3567 is 3 years old and took 4 mins just to boot up. Tried reinstalling the OS, which improved my boot time to 2.5 mins but working on the laptop was drag.. it was so slow.. A friend (I refer to him as angle now) suggested me to just upgrade my HDD to this SSD.. fixed at home (thanks to youtube tutorials), it was like a breeze.. this drive fixed exactly in the old drive space and performace.. am bowled.. my boot time is now 20 secs.. :)I would strongly recommend this drive for folks who want to add wings to your laptop

I bought this Kingston SSDNow A400 480GB for my laptop(about 6 years old). I had to replaced the old hard drive with this new SSD. After installing in the laptop, the performance is really good. Feels like new laptop especially the speed is quite fast. Smooth internet browsing. Also, Pricing seems to be reasonable.Its been 3 months after the SSD installation. I see no lag in speed until now. But time will tell how reliable is this SSD. Will check back to update in future.

This product is amazing. Very light weight. Awesome product in this price range.I have just installed it in My pc and booted it with windows 10. Now my pc is 5 to 8 times faster. Before SSD my Lenovo z50 70 took almost 1min to start(bootup) and then again 3 min very slow but now 10 to13 sec is for bootup and no slow/lagging.And I put my 1TB HDD drive in place of DVD 📀 drive with caddy drive. Its works like charm. Now photoshop, Autocad, PTC creo runs smoothly.If you want to upgrade your pc at lowest cost as possible then definitely go for it

Rise of the old machine…
I have 3rd generation i3 Sony Vaio laptop. Needless to say that it had become painstakingly slow. Booting Windows 10 required atleast 3 to 5 minutes. I am a developer and consistently need to work on Visual Studio software. Starting Visual Studio required 2 to 3 minutes.I has decided to purchase a new laptop with i5 processor. Fortunately one day I saw this product available at such a cheap price (4300 RS) and immediately decided to give it a try. I replaced my Toshiba 500 GB harddisk with this SSD and immediately my old laptop was ready to compete with newer generation systems. Booting now requires below 10 seconds and Visual Studio also starts in merely seconds. Thanks Kingston for saving my 50K which I would have otherwise utilised to purchase a new laptop.

I installed 480GB version in my Asus laptop A553S along with 8GB RAM. The original cost of laptop was around 20K and in addition I installed these RAM and SSH, now the laptop is as good as 50K laptop as far as responsiveness and speed is concern. Disk become the performance bottle-neck in any computer, so adding the SSD improve the performance. Now that laptop boots in ~7-10 seconds. So far my experience is good. So you may go for it without a second thought.

The SSD is good. It took only 6 mins to install windows 10 on it. However, don’t get carried away with the speeds mentioned above (6gb/s n ol). The speed of data transfer is about 80 MB/s at par with other internal ssd’s. Overall it pumped fresh life in my 3.5 yrs old laptop and now it’s working super fast.

256 GB on my Macbook pro mid 2012. Is it worth the upgrade?
I recently bought this 256GB SSD at offer price for my Old sluggish mid 2012 Macbook Pro. Installation the drive was much easy than I thought, though you need right tool to open the back panel of Macbook. Don’t create any partition of the drive, or else it will run slower than expected. I installed the latest MacOS Catalina and oh boy! After all the installation and feature rich MacOS my macbook runs like a 2019 device. 4 to 5 seconds of boot time and no lag at all. I am still using the stock 4GB(2×2) memory stick. I am wondering what speed I will get after upgrading the memory to 16GB. I am super happy to have Kingston SSD, it’s fast, value for money. In offer it’s the cheapest ssd with great performance.

Kingston is a popular electronic storage company and with a bit of research on SSD, I cam to finalize this over Seagate and green WD SSD’s as this is faster than them.PRO—–1. It’s faster than an HDD and it makes great use for data-heavy apps like Video Editing, 3D Modeling and Games, as they load faster and save faster.2. Read speed is about four times higher than an HDD and importantly write speed is significantly higher in real world speed, win10 loaded in about 9secs and Blender in about 3secs. Video editor requires your more SSD space but this SSD worked fast for small edits.3. It’s lightweight as any SSD and felt easy to install, it is electronic storage meant I just attached connectors and left hand over the HDD without fastening on the desktop cabinet.4. I have added another Kingston SSD on a mini laptop with atom processor and it makes that laptop felt like an i3 based processor in startup and browser usage in general.A great drive for system startup and few packages only with 240GB as limit.CONS——None

Easy to Clone Windows with AOMEI Backupper Professional
I bought this SSD on 26 April 2019. It is working fine.I tried to install Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit on this but it takes a lot of time like 14 Hours (I contacted the Windows Support and what I found is that it has something to do with Windows 10, like a bug maybe. I hope they will fix this on next update.). And in my area I had a power problem so it was not a good choice. So I tried AOMEI Backupper Professional and cloned my Windows 10 Pro 64 bit from my old HHD that was installed and boot it. Everything was working fine and the startup was really fast compared to my old HHD which takes 3-5 minutes to startup and another 2 minutes to start some startup apps. But with this new SSD my PC turn on in just 16 seconds and another 3 seconds for apps to startup. I am impressed.Note: If you want to last this SSD for long use then avoid storing large files and store them in somewhere like in HHD or in external device. 🙂

The package was shipped on time and the packaging was not that great but still, I am giving an overall rating of 4 as the package arrived early than expected. Although I have not tested the performance of this SSD hard drive, I am trusting Kingston to hold their promise. I will update the comment with the statistics if I find anything wrong.

This is my first SSD, i am using an external housing to use with my imac. Love the convenience of leaving the SSD connected to my mac and leave it ON. Not scared of the disk crashing due to wear and tear.

Good, but no cloning software provided
My existing HDD had gotten pretty slow, and I was looking to change to the SSD. I came across Kingston with a good deal and went for it. However, the cloning of existing HDD was an issue as Kingston does NOT provide any software for the same (which I was not aware) like Intel or Samsung does. Finding a free software which would do the job was a real issue. Finally I zeroed down to Macrium Reflect, which did the job. After cloning, the laptop has been working like a charm with NOTICEABLE difference in the speed, and I am pretty happy and satisfied with it. Go for it.

This become a very good addition to my Fujitsu Lifebook. I had lot of questions before I bought this product, initially went for WD(i didn’t use WD, so can’t comment about its performance) and then brought this one.The difference was clearly visible when I started installing OS in it, it got finished in no time, with HDD it used to be a long wait.The bench mark scores were exactly the same shared in other reviews.I don’t play games in my laptop so can’t really comment on gaming performance. But boot is faster, so is the application launching time(tested word,excel, ppt etc.).Really happy with the buy.

SSD made my old PC quite fast.
I still have a old desktop and with all my programs – I have kept using my old Windows XP ( I know – many of you will frown on this.) With my new SSD in place, my old desktop is now much faster and beating newer Windows 10 machines by a mile. I used a free mini Partition tool that I download to clone my old HDD on to the SDD. Then plugged it the SATA cable and changed some bios settings. Now I have a fast machine. Be careful if you are trying to use SSD for newer windows OS – getting them to boot as an external SSD is not always easy or even possible. Go Kingston – buy cheaper SSDs without worries.

Solid state drives should be the only option. HDD in this day and age are a joke. They’re slow as hell and get spoiled in a few years causing you to lose all your data and memories. I did and am depressed as hll these days. This SSD is so fast that I started shaming my dead HDD as I realised what exactly I’d been missing out on. Do yourself a favour and remove your crap HDD and replace it with this beautiful piece of hardware and your laptop will thank you. You’ll understand what I mean by that.

I had been using a mechanical hard drive for nearly a year and boot usually took around 3-5 minutes with chrome hogging all the memory. But since I am using a ssd the boot time has come down to like 12-15 seconds. I start the computer and boom… I’m right in doing my work.If you want to upgrade your rig or your laptop because of slow load times, trust me, a ssd is the way to go. It will definitly benefit you in the long run.

One month review: This had been the best improvment to laptop speed. Boot times have decreased from 2-5 mintues to 10-15 seconds. Restart is also fast as well. 10/10 recommended for this price. No issues whatsoever.

One Word to describe this hardisk is Magnificient
More than one month of usage now. I’m very happy to say that this SSD is amazing at this price. These are the sections I want to explicitly mention where I notice an enormous amount of improvement.Windows Boot Time: before installing this SSD the booting time was between 18 to 25 seconds but now within 8 seconds it is completely booting with everything loaded.Writing and Reading Speed: Like it is mention on the cover that you will get better speed than previously used normal hard drive.Power consumption: My laptop battery improved by 30 mins after installing this SSD. So Recommended in gaming laptops.Gaming: I notice a lot of improvement in gaming as now harddisk usage reduces and lagging problems resolved.I hope you like this review. In future If I faced any problem regarding this SSD I will edit this review.

Good for first timer and using as OS Installer

Been using for quite a while now. Laptop consistently boots in 14-16 secs compared to 2-3 mins with the mechanical hdd, which now occupies the ODD space with a caddy. Installation was super easy and fresh original windows 10 installation with Dell’s recovery media was a breeze, though it had to be done online as a fresh install. Overall very very happy with the product.

My motherboard worked like fatherboard after installing this SSD.
I have installed this SSD on my asus laptop by myself . And after installing this My Laptop started running very fast I have to hire a helicopter to match the speed . The ssd is pretty cheap and Value for money. Reduced boot time to 4.8 sec. I have not used this in gaming so can’t comment on that , But For normal use Its great chrome and firefox will open in less than a sec. I Can feel the difference from day 1 and I can say it was worth spending the money. It also helped in increasing battery life of my laptop. Previously my laptop takes 3-4 min only to boot up . and then lagging and hanging was regular problem. My last HDD can’t handle more than 3 chrome tabs, And after this I am able to use more than 15 chrome tabs simultaneously .Overall Its a great product and is value for money I purchased this @2311 AT prime day.I reccomend this product go for this without any hesitation

Gives a quick boost to your pc
The media could not be loaded.
It’s a tlc design ssd bought it for RS 1499 on sale installing it is easy just open pc insert it into a sata cable if you have only 2 then remove DVD place it over there u may need a bracket.In disk mgmt make it gpt drive and simple install it for use as storage drive or install using any windows install copying software to make it the windows drive but they should include the software for free even for this basic one

This product is meant for those who want to boost the disk operation of their laptop/desktop. It speeds up the disk operation by appr. 10 times.Easy to install. No noise as there are no moving parts. I am using SSD of size 240 GB and 480 GB of the same brand (Kingston) one in a desktop and the other in a laptop as primary disk drive.I recommend this product to all. One should go for a higher capacity as only 93% of the disk size is available after formatting.

If you are thinking to upgrade laptop only due to slow performance for basic tasks also then think again. Buy a SSD, You will surely save lot of money and can squeeze out the remaining life of your old laptops and new one also which are budget laptops and comes with HDD. Good product especially for windows 10 laptops. Fast and smooth Perfomance. HDD is outdated now a days, use them only for storage purpose. Kingston is a good brand in memory and storage segment. Finally I can multitask with ease on Win10 & chrome is running super smooth.

This is a value for money product. I used this SSD to replace the slow HDD in my laptop.Works as described, by laptop is atleast 5x faster now. (Boot speed of 20 seconds on an i3 7th Gen as compared to 2 mins before)One downside is the build quality. The plastic seems cheap and the packaging was poor, it was just packed in a single plastic sheet – no box, no protection.At Rs. 2700, it’s a great buy! If your laptop is slow, try replacing the HDD with this SSD. Your laptop could get a new life.

Don’t replace your laptop !!! Buy this SSD
My friend suggested me to go for this as he had bought this for his desktop, (I know that SSDs are bloody fast) but I had no big hopes for my laptop, but installing this was piece cake (disassembling dell Inspiron 3558’s was pretty tough when it got to the DVD drive, the first time, later I got the hang of it and could do it with ease ) I had installed the windows and my laptop booted up in 17 seconds !!! It used to take about 2 minutes + (with all the apps), from 2+ minutes to 17 seconds and less is a huge improvement. The laptop looks like it drank coffee+redbull+cocaine !!! Google Chrome opens up in an instant or else opening that was a pain. This is worth it !!! It’s better to go for the 240 gigs as the price difference between 120 and 240 is not much, this is worth the couple extra bucks. Couldn’t test the battery performance as my battery is almost dead and I made the better decisions to invest in this SSD. My dad is impressed by the performance jump and I’ve ordered another one. Trust me guys, if you’ve 2600 bucks and want to upgrade your PC/Laptop, BUY THIS !!!

Did wonders for my ps4 whose stock hdd was corrupted
My ps4 slim crashed multiple times in past and there was so much lag. I was not able to use it. I replaced the old standard hdd with this ssd and wow. it’s a rocket. No lags in game whatsoever, my ps4 is alive again. Boot time and game load time improved considerably. Thank you

I bought this ssd along with the orico ssd cover which is giving phenomenal results for my mac mini 2014 version. I installed my macOS catalina on it and reduced the booting, app opening times close to 20sec atleast. Earlier internal 1tb HDD would have taken close to 1.30mins to open up compared to now which takes a mere 30 -35 sec to boot up. Opening any creative adobe apps would have taken 1.30-2mins earlier has now been reduced to mere 20sec. This has given significant results as I have a quite old mac mini from 2014 and installing this ssd makes it comparable to most of the macbook pros i had used from 2017 version.tl;dr- Close your eye and buy the product if you want to make this as your external booting drive.- Reduction in app opening time if you are installing any creative apps from adobe- Data transfer is close to 80-100mps which makes it quite effective

I used it in place of my hdd and installed Windows on it.And use that hdd in caddy in place of cd driveSo i can use both of sdd and hdd.Before installing sdd i had to wait for 2-3 min after booting to start my work and now i don’t have to wait for a single sec after booting infact there is significant reduce in booting time.It felt like new upgraded lappy.So don’t thin, just go for it.

Best entry-level SSD for cheap
Using it for quite some time now and still no slow downs. Excellent SSD for the cheap. Has TLC NAND instead of QLC which is great considering I bought this SSD for just Rs.2300. It’s a great choice for someone building their first PC or replacing their laptop hard drive in a limited budget.

Low cost good performance drive
Its low cost and performs well. I believe it doesn’t have DRAM so please make sure in your usage the drive is not full as the part of the drive itself is used to compensate for not using a DRAM.If your usage requires only like a 150GB or so then go for this 240GB one. As when the disk is almost full the performance drops a lot. And many times less than a conventional HDD.For top-notch performance go for NVME M.2 drives.I’m attaching the crystal disk mark benchmark after 6 months of usage.

Buy if you don’t care about cache memory
There is no slc cache. It gave me 600ms response time while installing a big Windows update (3.5GB).Thats when I realised this ssd’s drawbacks. Adata definitely better at the same price as they have slc cache. And if you can, then get 860evo.
