A friend needed an upgrade from a 7th gen i5, and this CPU was the one we went with. It works great, has low temps, with a higher clock, and actual hyper-threading (which my friend didn’t have before). Overall it works great.

このCPUは”F”が付いてるので、マザーボードからの映像は出力されないので気を付けてね。別でグラボがないと映像は出力されない。購入して１ヶ月半ほど経つが安定してる。主にゲーム用として組み立てたが、そこそこ重たいゲームをやっても使用率30％～40％くらい。何点かゲームをやってみたが、50％を超えたゲームはまだない。ちなみにCPUファンは、ゲームを長時間やるので92mmのCPUファンを取り付けてる。12mmでも良かったのだが、グラボとの干渉を避けるため92mmにした。92mmでもCPUは十分冷える。

I made best decision to go with i5 10400f insted ryzen 5 3600 and saved some mony for better GPUThis CPU is best for 14k price and performes well while streming with OBS (I would recomend to pair this CPU with GTX 1650 super or better GPU)

A happy little upgrade to give my RGB madhouse some more horse power just make sure u have a dedicated video card (GPU) otherwise u ain’t using it as it has no built in video feature hence why it’s cheaper. BUT, slap a GTX 980 or higher in the build with it and she go brrrr

The Intel i5 400 series is by far the best bang for the buck CPU on the market. I have made two custom build towers with the i5 9400F and the i5 10400F, and both have turned out to be great CPUs for gaming and productivity. However, I will be stepping up for my next build. The CPU speed of the i5 10600K is twice as fast as the 400F series. Adobe Photoshop benefits from the higher speed, so I will be using the 600K series from now on. Either way, you cannot go wrong with the i5 10400F or the i5 10600KF, both are great for playing triple-A games.

I got This CPU + Motherboard Combo at 19500CPU (i5 10400F) Motherboard (Asus Prime H410M E).. So this CPU wrecks every single CPUs available at price of 18000 to 10000 rupees… It has Base Speed of 2.9Ghz.. and it’s one core can boost upto 4.3Ghz.. and all cores together can run on 4.01Ghz..In terms of gaming performance.. this CPU beats Ryzen 5 3600 at Non OC Turbo speed..Only issue is its bundled cooler.. it is just crap.. I used Coolermaster Hyper 212 with my i5…And totally Satisfied with its performance..

Bueno de momento me ah resultado bueno es el mejor procesador que tengo hasta la fecha y me va muy bien creo q es la competencia del razen 5 3600 el único detalle es que la placa madre z490 no es muy barata (aunque la diferencia no es tanta 50 dólares q no gastas en procesador lo gastas de más en la placa), estaría mucho mejor si viniera desbloqueado el procesador ahí valdría aún más la pena

I would prefer this processor over Ryzen 5 3600 because now r5 3600 is freeking over priced , and i5 10400f has high single core performance than r5 3600 . So over all price to performance ratio is much better of i5 10400f than r5 3600. Now amd is selling overpriced processors so right now intel is better option because no one is looking intel and everyone is just buying amd because of this many amd prosessors are out of stock and overpriced right now so go with intel and neither i’m intel fan boy nor amd i am just a custmor , which company provide me better performance with nice pricing i would go with that company.

Great budget gaming CPU. Cut my Division 2 loading times in half.Update: been a few weeks now and this CPU is killing it, Playing Division 2 on ultra 1440p and 144hz with my 3060. Works with my M.2 and very fast. but only supports up to 2666mhz ddr4. The cheaper i3-10100 is a excellent alternative if this cpu is currently above your price range.

So far the most usage its got while under load was 60%. I play star citizen, ready or not, Battlefield 1&5, chivalry 2 and a few other normally heavier strain games. This does it all while paired with a rx6600 gpu.

This CPU is at par with 5600x but costs two times less. I don’t understand how it is possible not to buy it. The only issue B460 motherboard won’t let to overlock RAM and it will be stuck at 2666Mhz. Even taking this into account it does not worth 2x times money to gain 5-10% of FPS (providing your GPU is super performant). I pair it with RTX 3070 and don’t dream about anything more.

If you can’t find Ryzen 5 3600’s in stock this is a great alternative. I’ve been using this chip for two months, and it has yet to disappoint me. Pretty good gaming performance for the price if you’re on a budget. From what I’ve seen you can even pair it with almost any RTX card with only a slight bottleneck on the higher end ones (I paired mine with a 2060). Keep it mind this is a locked chip though. No over clocking.

it runs hot on stock cooler
10 july 2021i updated from i5 4440 to i5 10400f .so defiently i will feel fast . combined with b560 for 9.9k rs & corsair cl16 3200mhz for 4.5k rs . feels fast enough. all well built system in 30k with 6months emi. i feel happy for the 6 core 12 thread thing

You have to buy an additional GPU with this
Nice processor with 6 cores. That’s one of the best part. But it doesn’t have an inbuilt graphics processing unit.

Perfetto per chi cerca una soluzione prestante ad un ottimo prezzo. Sono oramai 2 anni che ho questo processore montato sul mio pc è ancora non ha perso un singolo colpo. Tempi di caricamento minimi e performance ottime per le mie necessità produttività / videogiochi.Consegnato insieme ad un dissipatore che non ho utilizzato perchè ne ho già uno AIO a parte, con quello mo tanto attualmente non supero i 55 gradi di picco, ma per il consumo contenuto credo vada bene anche quello fornito in dotazione. Perfetto!

this cpu was perfect. I was building a new pc for my sister, and I chose this one. Luckily, I didn’t choose wrong! The installation was quick and easy, and the cooler is pretty good, around 60-70 degrees under load. Definetly recommend buying this!

Processeur 6C/12T qui reste encore très performant en 2023 , ne chauffe pas beaucoup et une consommation électrique maitrisé , 9W en idle, entre 30 et 50W en gaming selon les jeux, et au maximum 88W pendant un stress test très exigeant.

Wow. I was planning to build a budget Ryzen build for a while, specifically with the 2600x. Then, prices decided to jump ship and they almost doubled in price while halving in stock.Thankfully, Intel seems relatively unaffected by the craze. For $155, the 10400 offers incredible performance for the price. Intel decides to lock overclocking and ram speeds with this chip, which is decidedly pretty stupid, but it still works.This could honestly be paired with up to a 3080 without much of a bottleneck (though it really shouldn’t). Very good buy.Just make sure to get a different cooler! The one it comes with is loud and small!

El procesador funciona muy bien, la temperatura se mantiene entre 33° y 35° utilizandolo en windows con el cooler master hyper 212. No sabria decir que temperatura mantiene el microprocesador con el cooler de stock.

So far the most usage its got while under load was 60%. I play star citizen, ready or not, Battlefield 1&5, chivalry 2 and a few other normally heavier strain games. This does it all while paired with a rx6600 gpu.

Used for medium gaming and most games never seemed to stress the cpu out much. Ended up not using the terrible included cooler as it was much too loud and didn’t keep temps below 80 degrees. I would use a water cooler or better aftermarket cooler if you use this processor. I would buy again but only for office use as this processor is starting to show its age.

Great budget gaming CPU. Cut my Division 2 loading times in half.Update: been a few weeks now and this CPU is killing it, Playing Division 2 on ultra 1440p and 144hz with my 3060. Works with my M.2 and very fast. but only supports up to 2666mhz ddr4. The cheaper i3-10100 is a excellent alternative if this cpu is currently above your price range.

Excellent Performance, but price is little high right now..
I got This CPU + Motherboard Combo at 19500CPU (i5 10400F) Motherboard (Asus Prime H410M E).. So this CPU wrecks every single CPUs available at price of 18000 to 10000 rupees… It has Base Speed of 2.9Ghz.. and it’s one core can boost upto 4.3Ghz.. and all cores together can run on 4.01Ghz..In terms of gaming performance.. this CPU beats Ryzen 5 3600 at Non OC Turbo speed..Only issue is its bundled cooler.. it is just crap.. I used Coolermaster Hyper 212 with my i5…And totally Satisfied with its performance..

Bin wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dieser CPU. Für den Preis liefert der Prozessor unglaublich viel Leistung. Betreibe die CPU mit einer Rtx 3070 zusammen und was soll ich sagen es hagelt nur so an Frames. Der Aufpreis zu einer 10600k von knapp 100 Euro (zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt) lohnt sich kaum.

このCPUは”F”が付いてるので、マザーボードからの映像は出力されないので気を付けてね。別でグラボがないと映像は出力されない。購入して１ヶ月半ほど経つが安定してる。主にゲーム用として組み立てたが、そこそこ重たいゲームをやっても使用率30％～40％くらい。何点かゲームをやってみたが、50％を超えたゲームはまだない。ちなみにCPUファンは、ゲームを長時間やるので92mmのCPUファンを取り付けてる。12mmでも良かったのだが、グラボとの干渉を避けるため92mmにした。92mmでもCPUは十分冷える。

Me gusta el desempeño que tiene, lo instalé en una asus con M2 de kingstone y de lujo, el único detalle que me costó entender era porque no mandaba video, revisé todos los componentes y todo estaba bien, hasta que leí el manual del micro y vi que este no genera salida de video y requiere una tarjeta externa adicional, lo que implicó un gasto inesperado, pero después de eso ha funcionado bien. Saludos

A friend needed an upgrade from a 7th gen i5, and this CPU was the one we went with. It works great, has low temps, with a higher clock, and actual hyper-threading (which my friend didn’t have before). Overall it works great.
