Great picture quality. Option to set at 480, 720 & 1080. Only one flaw. No place to set a fixed ip. Can be interfaced with NVR and DVR , but have to configure router DHCP reservation.Update after 2 months of usage.Cannot use in dust prone areas.When fixed inverted , stops rotating or rotates only a few degrees after some use.Not suitable for inverted or any other form of mounting except keeping it on its base

Companies like these generally make products which are good and appealing because of their specs and features.How long do these work and how good is the after sale support is to be seen.So i have just finished setting up the product, seems decent for it’s price. There’s some noise while the camera pans, but not very loud, can be ignored.So far so good.

The device is true to its specifications and the App is just amazing. They’ve incorporated every possible feature that may be required in a cctv cam app, including sharing camera access to other authenticated users, which I really liked. Bought this for keeping an eye on my dog when we left him home alone and the speaker and mic function abled us to communicate with him, video quality is good. Night vision is also good! Truly a great buy 👍

Product is really good. All the functions are good. Expecially I have ordered black it is very good that if we keep it outside no one will recognise it as a camera. Only flaw is that it will record video in sd card if there is any motion detected. That is good for saving space. But there had been an option to switch between continuous recording mode and record only when motion detected. So please note this before you buy

Very good product
I have been using this product to monitor movements near my front door and car park in Bangalore. Works very well. The motion detector is really good. If it detects any movement it records for about 20 secs. You can review all recordings whenever you have the time. In real-time, you can even talk to the person irrespective of your location. I have installed the software on my phone and laptop. I sit in Mangalore and monitor my house in Bangalore. My recordings are stored in a Micro SD card and not on the cloud.

This is my first WIFI camera. I ordered this after much research. There was a very fast delivery. Delivery was done the very next day of the order. The camera is beautiful to look at, besides its installation is very easy.The picture quality in day light is excellent. There is an average in night. Motion detection is very smart. The response of the microphone is very good.internet connectivity is very good. I put a 64 GB memory card in it. The memory card will be full in 5 days in HD quality and 10 days in SD quality. After this, overwriting will start.

Writing review after few weeks of use. This is one of the best wifi security cameras. All features working well and app is user friendly too. After lot of research I went for this and its real value for money. Earlier I had D3D and suddenly they stopped online view service for old models. Cloud storage is not free. That’s ok as you need a storage service to persist your data. Using only the sd card and remote viewing is free and works well. Picture clarity very good.

Posting this review after using a week. It is worth buying.Initially faced difficulties in setting the camera and connection establishment.Cable length is about 6 feet.As it mentioned it’s rotate 360° perfectly.Motion detection is also perfect.Night vision picture quality is average.Picture quality is good when area is fully illuminated with lights, else overall picture quality is good. Smart tracking works good.You can share this device up to total 06 persons.Two way communication is not so good.Mobile application is also good but use of PAN AND TILT option is taking time to take in effect.Some times Camera missed recording of motion and Human detection.It works only on 2.4GHz network.Ethernet port is given for wired network.To operate this camera you must have strong 2.4 GHz network.It does not work well on mobile data network as it laps frequently and taking time to load live and recording.If you don’t have Internet than still camera records, recording stored in SD card.Once you connect the internet, you can explore recordings from SD card. But you can not download.For download in mobile you have to subscribe Imou protect plan, which is expensive.Without Internet it is useless.I think all above points covered to take decision for go with Imou Ranger 2.Overall works as expected.

Need Improvement for day light vision as not capturing the images or videos in outdoor environment. it shows blurry images due to intense sunlight.If company improves this part then this one will be steal deal. Hence giving one star less.

The scan code is too small for configuration. Sometimes two way communication has few echo sound which becomes little irritating. As the title suggests it’s a good product but could have been better as it is competing with several brands which are known in the market for their other products.

Fine product but not awesome
It doesn’t differentiate between human and mosquitoes/rain drops or clothes… Every time it gives pop ups as motion detected which is quite irritating… Also it records annoying beep sound which never stops and when it rotates, the sound of plastic rubbing to be eachother gives irritating noise.. rest camera is easy to install, picture quality is good, easy to keep an eye via app.. overall nice product upto 2k price range.

Searching onvif without internet configuration.
It’s work well with alexa and fire tv what I am looking for next I like to test this with cp plus 16 channel NVR but still not gate proper compatible list of NVR’s from seller dahua mostly compatible as i saw in app list internal default firmware . After that I may give 5 star to imou cameras. Onvif configuration still treaky and no any help provided in imou web site or in user manual also. If onvif compatible pre test NVR recommendation by seller then it is great product. Or imou own nvr to make great sense for complete solution of this ip camera. But whats it ip address and user name inside app to change password is still not given in help so how to change umoulife app old password to new password app and security old password I don’t know it might be any default not mention in app or in manual.So how to connect onvif to see in NVR without internet. Is still suspense.

You can only mount horizontal up or down position, can not mount on vertical wall. It is not possible to navigate camera on wall if mount vertical. Cloud storage is very expensive. INR 1000 PER MONTH FOR FIVE CAMERA. USER INTERFACE IS VERY SMOOTH, VERY EASY TO CONFIGURE. OVER ALL NICE PRODUCT.

Good product at great price. Dahua is known to make good cameras. Was confused between Mi 360, Realme, Hikvision, CP Plus and Imou, but felt Dahua an old company in terms of Security Surveillance. So opted for the same. It detects motion, abrupt sounds and sends notification. Yet to check the compression feature as haven’t purchased memory card, but installation is quite easy and the app is simple to navigate. HD feature is handy.

But doesn’t rotate if there is sound coming from opp. direction. like MI offer few seconds video on cloud this doesnt offer any such option. If smart tracking is not required suggest to go with MI. Cloud storage is free for one month, there after you will have to pay for it, alternatively you can use Micro SD card 64 to 128 GB for recording 64 GB cover 7 days app. recording As I used at my main gate, creates clips as per human detection. there is no round robin features for recording over write you will have to manually delete unwanted clips as memory gets full.

I’m satisfied with the camera features. It’s so sensitive and causes false alarms even at level 3 setting.The only thing I’m not happy is the cloud storage fee and it’s stated in USD. No so competitive and customer pocket friendly. Imou should think about commoners and offer at reasonable cost.

So far so satisfied with it that bought 3.Very easy to install and operate from its App.Though it doesn’t support 5GHz Wi-Fi so one might have some techno issues during setup and later during use. Other users with dual band Wi-Fi routers may also find it to defunct (red led) sometimes.Motion sensor is fine; it make some noise while rotating but not too loud to be heard; but yes it make some noise.App functioning is satisfactory but it doesn’t allow multiple sign-in to operate camera as many modern CCTV camera Apps does. If this issue can be addressed in future updates the usability of this IP Cam will definitely extend.Overall a satisfactory experience..👍🏼

Good cemera quality and motion detection. But it is connected by mobile hotspot… And trouble with jio wifi device. Cant remind more than one hotspot so we have to reset every time to connect devices if u want to change to other previously connected wifi.To see live video it is very good product.

Update 16/4/2022:- They have made A.I detection as paid feature.- Cloud Storage options have changed, now we can only download videos from SD card if we have paid option.- You can only record live videos and click live photos via app but if you want to get old pictures or videos, you perhaps need to record screen as imou don’t want you to get old recorded footage on your device unless you pay them. I’m sure they’ll put restrictions on screen recording and capturing in future app which is you can say shady practices.Initial Review:- The camera is easy to setup via app- I have Realme 360 Camera, I’ll be comparing it in future as I get to use this camera.Note about Cloud Storage:- When you click the Event History Timeline, you’ll see the first option as cloud storage buy option, but when you click the card option on right, you can access the sdcard recordings.- You get notification about human or sound detections and you don’t need cloud storage for that.- Cloud storage only store your videos and not restrict you with accessing the features.Pros:- App have inbuilt fingerprint security.- Have HDR support (Settings -> Device Settings heading -> HDR)- Camera have very good night vision with IR LED and night vision is better than Realme 360(for now).- Camera have upto 8x playback speed while Realme Camera have 2x playback speed only.- Have Cloud and NVR support which Realme have not.Cons:- The continous recording option is hidden in settings and not turned on by default(Go to Camera -> Settings -> Local Storage -> Recording Schedule then set for all days 0:00 to 23:59)- The SDcard is not encrypted like Realme which can be problem for few.(encrypted= Where files can’t be accessed by anyone on pc in case of camera being stolen)I’ll update the review, this is my initial review which I cross checked with top reviews to know whether cloud storage was problem or not.If you found this helpful, click helpful button to let people know.

its perfect for in-home use.
i think the product i got had a minor problem with the rotation. its not smooth and we can hear the sound through the app when it moves left to right & vice versa. but i would recommend this. in fact i will be ordering another one soon. its perfect for home use. the object detection is very good and the tracker is almost perfect. the response time is also fast depending upon the connection speed of the internet. the camera hiding option is vert good. its useful when you are home and you want to put the camera on sleep. the app is very user friendly too. had the cloud storage for almost a month after which i switched to mmc. the 2 way audio is just amazing. although there is a millisecond delay, its still very nice.

Targent tracking needs to be made better.
Target tracking and the vision angle need to be addressed. When tracking a target it comes to the extreme end angle it remains looking there even the target has gone beyond the vision. As a result some targets within the room go undetected. The camera after tracking a target to extreme limit should come back automatically to it’s main view position. Picture quality is good.

Much much better than any other camera in the market
Excellent camera. The video (Full HD) is very good and crisp and bright, unlike other cameras. The App is very light and user friendly. Low light recordings are superb and bright. The night vision is crystal clear though black and white. Using 480p resolution for just viewing will reduce the bandwidth usage. Alexa/Google support is very useful for viewing on TV and for other controls. Going for Cloud Storage is very useful and reliable though I didn’t try.Cons: The audio quality is slightly echoing/blurr. Not sure if it’s problem with my camera only.2. Doesn’t support Preset positions.3. I don’t see any Download option for videos to local, like, Laptop or Mobile.4. Human detection is not working properly. The AI algorithm needs more fine tuning

An excellent camera for ceiling mount, since the lens can move to an almost vertical position. App is very good and provides millimeter precision controls. It provides option to purchase China based cloud storage or local sd card storage.The only problem comes when motion detection is activated, it records only after detecting motion. Better than realme camera, which I have used as well. Night vision is also good, and switches on automatically.It sends notification when camera goes offline, which realme camera doesn’t do.Speaker sound is not very audible in normal conditions, but can be heard clearly in a quiet room.

At first i was planning on a full fledged Dvr system of 4 channel and required 2 camera. So thought of going for Hikvision setup. Than someone recommended me Dahua’s imou Wireless camera. I started my research, saw around 20 videos on this camera on Youtube and everyone claimed this camera to be best among all wireless cctv available in market because of Its picture quality, smoothness in rotating and its storage capacity. And not to forget other smart features too. So i ordered one camera, did whole setup pn my own which is very easy to understand because its plug and play device. Now I’ll buy my second camera too, same one!! I highly recommend it.

Picture quality is good, motion detection is very good, night vision is clear upto 25-30 feet which is good, camera setup is quite easy and once the setup is done, it automatically connect to the wifi when power comes after cutoff. Rotation of camera is very very good, no lagging.I am using 128 GB memory card which is enough for one month (25-30 days easily), camera supports upto 256 gb card which is unique in its segment.Cons – only one, that is if the power cuts off and again power comes, and if the wifi is not available to camera, it doesn’t start recording. It starts recording only once it is connected to wifi.So, it is advisable to connect the camera to inevertor power and there should not be any switch to power off camera.

This is my first WIFI camera. I ordered this after much research. There was a very fast delivery. Delivery was done the very next day of the order. The camera is beautiful to look at, besides its installation is very easy.The picture quality in day light is excellent. There is an average in night. Motion detection is very smart. The response of the microphone is very good.internet connectivity is very good. I put a 64 GB memory card in it. The memory card will be full in 5 days in HD quality and 10 days in SD quality. After this, overwriting will start.

Doesn’t support EZVIZ 8 CH NVR due to other video format.
1) First of all note that Imou camera will only work with Dahua NVR / XVR. Few other NVR/ XVR may support which you need to check online carefully before purchase. Some users here claim its onvif but it doesn’t support onvif 8 CH EZVIZ Wireless NVR.2) I am impressed with the quality of camera, I can say best wirless camera available in market now, even better than EZVIZ Wireless camera’s.3) Those who doesn’t use NVR/ DVR for recording , you can connect directly with mobile application with strong wifi signal/ wifi hotspot in home with memory card inserted in camera for recording.4) Those who doesn’t want to use memory card for recording, Cloud storage is available at resonable price when compared to other competetor but still it’s expensive.

After using 15 days :1. Motion detection is ok, but slow i.e. if someone is walking even bit faster it fails to detect and track.2. App UI is good and easy to use.3. 2way talk is poor, a lot of noise and speaker is also not very good.4. It automatically DOESN’T go to detection area most of the time, it should go ideally after a while but sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn’t.5. Can be shared with 6 users at max6.
