This rack is compatible with NVR and DVR both. Earlier I had some size issues about my upcoming 8CH DVR since my home was equipped with 4CH DVR. This cabinet is enough big to hold a 8CH DVR, a WiFi router(for range extending purpose), and all the power supplies that are powering the DVR, cameras and other stuff. To overcome overheating danger, it is recommended to install a 12V or 120mm 240VAC Axial Fan for cooling purposes. Very nicely built, sturdy, good paint job. One exception, the front door cover is made from acrylic which is flexible enough for illegal access to the box, to prevent that from happening, have a metal sheet, or a glass piece so you may know that it has been tempered with. Overall good!
