The only reason the score isn’t lower is the low price. The heat sink is a cheap and has just 2 heat pipes but is still an improvement over stock. The fan is cheap but will do the job, and mine had a light buzzing noise. I ended up strapping on a spare cpu fan to replace this one but that defeats the purpose of the price if you don’t have a spare. The mounting system is cheap and annoying especially if the motherboard is dense or sff.

Small cooler was used to cool AMD Phenom II 1090t. Fan is quiet and keeps CPU cool at stock speed.

Looks cheap, feels cheap, and it was cheap (under $18)!Surprisingly enough, it outperforms the stock amd wraith cooler. Was regularly running at 45°c in games, but with the antec it averages at 37°. Dunno if it’s worth $5 more to look a little more quality/sexy.
K. B. –
I don’t really care for the LEDs. It was not too hard to install on top of my AMD and the fact that the package contained the thermal paste was nice. It is way quieter than the stock cooler and I am happy about that. I am not doing any overclocking or hard core gaming on that particular machine, so cannot comment on its ability to perform under extreme conditions.
plhplh –
A little disappointed when received . The heat sink is very thin and the quality is appeared very poor. However , that’s not the case. Compared to the original old AMD AM2+/AM3 Cooler, it is day and night. Under the full loading, the CPU temp is only 54 C degree which is 10 C degree less than the AMD one. Very impressive. The fan is very quite too.

Bought to replace a noisy cpu fan that came installed in my pc; I’ve put up with it for a last few years and now I don’t know why! This fan is a doddle to fit, following YouTube instruction videos. Although not completely silent, it is so much quieter than the original and makes my pc much easier to live with. Blue light which is a ‘feature’ is pointless unless you have a fancy case but never mind that. Well worth the 15 quid or so.
David Quitora –
I bought this coller for my old PC, an AMD FX8350 and it’s perfect, it’s very quiet, it color it’s awesome very beatiful, nice to buy this!
Rayhn –
Had some older PC parts and built a working system with this heat sink on a am3 x4 processor hold temps in the perfect range of 50-60 under load.
Colin –
Was real easy to install took like 5 minutes actually came with good thermal past.
Alex Baugh –
Mounting instructions were super easy and keeps my i7 4770 cool with no thermal throttling. Pretty great for the price.
Nicholas Frailing –
Had it for about a week. Keeps my cpu cooler. The fan doesn’t blow very hard even with rpms maxed. But it definitely dropped my cpu temps by atleast 5 degrees.
TonyNio –
le produit correspond bien a la description.

I have used this fan in a lot of my cheaper little builds. Does great job cooling without spending a ton for high a cooler. Mind you I use it for mostly i3/Ryzen 3 or lower cpus.

I own an ASUS P8 Z77-V Pro motherboard with an Intel i5-2500k CPU (LGA 1155 socket). This machine has served me well while editing images in Photoshop and Lightroom for years. However, the last 6 months the CPU has started to run warmer than the dealt 76oC setting on the ASUS AI suite while editing images on Lightroom. I did a lot of research and found that I was not alone in this regard as Lightroom seems to use a lot of the computer’s resources. The first order of business was to replace the Thermal Paste to see if that would fix the problem…It did not. So, the search was on for a better CPU cooler. It became clear that most 3rd party cooler used a backing plate behind the motherboard. That would mean disconnecting all the components and motherboard to make these installations. However, the Antec A30 has a system where you do an above-board insulation. This allowed me to install this cooler without removing the motherboard. This consists of set of spacers and a ring bracket mounted onto the top of the motherboard. Then the new cooler is held in place by two (2) spring loaded metal hooks. This was the trickiest part. There is not much space to get my hands in so, I did have to remove one (1) PCle card from its slot. It took some time to line up the hooks with the ring and snap them in place. The spring tension is extraordinarily strong, so it took a while to get this part accomplished. The only other issue was that the power lead is a three (3) pin connector and the original was a four (4) pin. what is required is to line up the side slot on the new connector and it will connect to the proper three (3) pins on the motherboard. Total time from start to finish was about one (1) hour. Now my CPU is running at a little over 40oC under full load and I am a happy camper. See the attached screenshot of the current ASUS Ai suite.

TL;DR – Dropped my temps by 10C~, all for $15 bucks.Great value for the money. My PC had a stock Intel cooler on there that wasn’t seated too firmly on the CPU since I the 3 out of 4 fan mounts weren’t in the greatest condition. My idle temps used to be around 38-41C, then I noticed it would gradually climb to 48-50C and hit 70-80C during gaming/video rendering. So I knew I had to get a cooler quick but I was also on a bit of a tight budget. I could’ve spent a little more on a Noctua, but decided to roll the dice on this. Sure enough, well worth it. Idling temps now is around 28-31C, gaming hovers around 55-60C and video rendering hasn’t gone past 63-65C. I can game and render videos with more confidence now knowing my system isn’t getting taxed by heat.Overall definitely worth the monies if you’re not running a super fancy setup that requires more cooling.

I needed a quick cheap heatsink and this had next day arrival. I didn’t have high expectations as it is small with only 2 heat pipes. The design works well though beacuse I haven’t gone over 60c at full load. It is easy to install with the motherboard outside the case. There can’t be a backplate on the board, you will need to remove it requiring removal of the motherboard. Once its out its a breeze to install. For $15 I would recommend.

Great CPU cooler for a budget build. Not over clocking this CPu but I’ve noticed it keeps quiet even under load. Solid on temps as well stay around 40-50 ambient. In todays PC parts world sub 20$ coolers are hard to come by and this guy is rock solid.

I installed this on my 10yr old Dell XPS 8500 motherboard (Micro-ATX). After instalation the i7-3770 never went over 65c in an hour of stress testing with CPU-Z, so this was a definite upgrade. This is fantastic for an older system or newer lower end processors without high power draw! Testing was done in open air, but is no different in a positive pressure case.If you’re planning on upgrading an old Dell prebuilt with a downdraft cooler: try to upgrade the case too so that you can achieve better airflow for the other various components surrounding the CPU. Also, the ILM will probably need to be removed and you’ll have to modify the Dell heat sink mount on the back of the motherboard. It’s very simple with a Dremel. I’m sure there’s a guide out there, but I found it very clear what needed to be chopped off. Just take your time! This has been a fun project.

I got this for about £9 and, at that price, I really can’t complain. It does the job of cooling a quad core multi-threaded Xeon perfectly adequately. I wouldn’t use this on something I was going to overclock, but it’s a decent budget cooling option.

Keeps my CPU about 10 degrees C less than the stock fan. Not sure if this would be ideal for a hardcore gamer, but definitely keeps my rig running cooler. Lost of bang for the buck. It works very well for the i5 6600 that I mounted it on. Using Cinebench R23 the CPU never hit more than 43C with standard clocking. I’ve seen a lot of people complaining it didn’t cool their CPU, then post they have a CPU that’s way above the capacity of the cooler. Know your system before you buy a cooler. I wouldn’t use it on anything above a 65 watt CPU.Pros.Really easy to install.Very quiet fan.Good airflow through the fins.Well worth the $15 USD it cost me.Great if you’re not overclocking.ConsOnly a 2 pipe cooler. The unit I received didn’t come with written instructions.YouTube instructions are hard to find in an other language than Hindi.Limited cooling capacity (65watt).Not good for overclocking.

I bought this to replace and aging AMD cpu cooler and wow does it do the job. My idle temps before were in the 40s and now after installing this, its sitting in the low 20s. Very well made for under $20.00. People might complain about it being cheap or not very sturdy but this is not the case. Easy to install. Took 10 secs. Just remove the plastic cover and apply thermal paste and you are set.

This thing is so tiny, I don’t think it will be much an update over the stock fan!I rather pay extra £5 and get something better, like arctic cool or something similar.

T. Liu –
Bought it for a CPU update. I have a AM3+ system, using Athlon II x3 upgrading to FX 6100 CPU. put it on the cpu and it works perfectly. Mounting is not difficult but you have to push it hard to clip on.The temperature is at about 30C at normal load for web browsing etc. and only 40C for heavy load. Very satisfied! My old CPU worked with AMD cpu cooler and it was constantly reach 60 or 70C.
Mike EMike E –
Great little CPU cooler, keeps my ryzen 5 1600af at a respectful temperature of 71 degrees when stress testing with cinebench however it can be a little bit noisy. I wouldn’t recommend using this with an overclocked CPU due to the excessive temps.

Running like a champ!!!

Pros: it works great. It stays cool and the lights are bright. It’s worth 20 bucks.Cons: the metal is very thin. It doesn’t come with two more clips to mount another fan. Can be a little bit of a pain to install but it’s not bad.

My brother has an old AMD FX 8150 8-core where it was thermal shutting down due to the Corsair water block being dried out. I decided to just remove the Corsair system out and put the system on air cooling. This seems pretty small, but according to the results I’m seeing, it’s cooling the CPU pretty well. The stress temps using Cinebench was 61 degrees C and running a Silver bench CPU stress test, it’s floating at 49 degrees C. No more thermal shut down! Includes a small pouch of their on thermal goop. I’d recommend!

I like to build and sell/donate budget revamped PCs. I have bought this CPU cooler several times. Usually I am OC’ing these CPUs a bit to get a little extra performance. Each time this cooler has delivered temps anywhere from 8 to 15 degrees cooler than the stock coolers. I have had this cooler on i5-3570, i5-3770k, and i5-4590, with each unit showing the cooler temperatures I have mentioned above. I am unsure of its performance on newer modern CPUs, but for these older budget builds and around 20$ it is a great option. Fan noise is a bit on the high side when on an OC and gaming, but I believe it is expected in this price range and worth the decreased temperatures.

This cooler manages to handle my i7 9700k idle at 28 degrees, thats really impressive for something this cheap! The only downside is how much of a pain it is to install, it took me nearly 30 mins to figure out how to install it due to the lack of instructions in the box. The blue lights go well with the rest of my colour scheme. The cooler works well for gaming also, with it not getting much louder than idle.

Pros:Super easy installationQuiet basically silent fanNice blue led! hamassive drop in temp over a different type of market cooler (the big circle type with fan on top) that seem to have be come popularCons:the way the fan is mounted onto the cooler iself, its a strange rubber kind of pop in tabs, while they will reduce most if not all vibrations from the fan you wouldnt want to be removing these very often, i dont think they would last long if you werefins of the cooler are quet thin so bend super easy, be careful!

Although the radiator is lower quality, the heatpipes are what’s primarily important. This is the cheapest heat pipe heatsink you can get, and it will serve well for any immediate cooling solution.Although it did not come with any manuals, it isn’t too difficult to install if your somewhat familiar. You may have a harder time, but I was able to install in <5 minutes.I did experience an issue with an LED being dead on arrival, however the issue was immediately resolved, and I believe most would arrive with no problems.Overall, with the LED, heatpipes, this cooler is worth its cost.

Bought this as a replacement for the stock cooler on an Intel i5 processor. Certainly gets the job done and manages about 32/33C at idle with ambient temperatures of 21C. The fan is single speed though and always runs at max speed although it isn’t loud. In the end I swapped the fan for a larger silent fan and kept the cooler and it works great.

Got this for $15 during a sale, this review is based on that sale price, for the full $25 you can find better -I’m seeing temps of 15.5 Celsius at idle for an AMD Fx 6350, not a computer I will have under heavy loads so I’m very happy with the cooling capabilities. If you’re on a budget and this is excellent for $15.Note – This cooler is compatible with older am3 motherboards, and I see there are negative reviews for this cooler from users with the newer am4 motherboard socket. Can you guess why they’re unhappy?

Not bad for a little cooler. I was upgrading from a i3 2300 to an i7 2700k and needed a better cooling option over stock. The cooler keeps the PC around 33-35c during idle/low usage, and about 50c during gaming. Your mileage may vary, but it’s working great for me.

Used for an i7-860 95w CPU. Seems to work well even under medium load.No overclocking of courseFor heavy load or higher TDP might want something beefier than this.

I did put this cooler in my old Lenovo thinkstation e32 and it cooled down the i7 3770 by a long shot so def would recommend for oem builds

This cpu cooler looks magnificent and my cpu hasn’t gone up 60 degrees where the intel stock cooler is at 80 most of the time. It’s the best cpu cooler for the money

Running like a champ!!!

Good unit. Smaller than I expected. Doesn’t cover but about 3/4 of the cpu.

Not bad for a little cooler. I was upgrading from a i3 2300 to an i7 2700k and needed a better cooling option over stock. The cooler keeps the PC around 33-35c during idle/low usage, and about 50c during gaming. Your mileage may vary, but it’s working great for me.

The clips holding the fan on are the bare minimum needed to do so. Otherwise, works great.

installed it a few weeks ago and its cooling the PC just fine. My son plays fortnite with epic mode and the processor never gets warm.

Second cooler i got for sons pc as upgraded his fx 4300 to a fx8350 keeps it at 60c and below at full load

This CPU cooler is very overlooked in my opinion. For the price ($15), the performance is VERY good. What I really like about it though is the size/appearance. It is like someone shrunk the 212 Evo. So this will fit in cases you normally wouldn’t be able to get a Tower-style cooler into, and I prefer tower-style because of the directional airflow (though if using with a cheap mobo, be cautious of the VRMs which will have less airflow over them).I have mine in an Omen 25L which is too narrow to fit most tower coolers and it beats the stock air cooler by 20C+ (though the stock Omen 25L air cooler doesn’t even cover the full cpu heatspreader)

Mounting fan to heat exchanger is not very secure.

Great cooler, good value. Replaced the stock cooler on a core i5 4690k and cools far better, games dont max out the fan so much less noise.

Didn’t really cool CPU when an overclock was applied. Would go with a slightly better cooler in future.Good for budget CPU usage with no overclock. Works perfect on an x5680 Xeon at 4ghz.

Last thing you want to do is spend a ton of money on a cpu cooler.Easy install. Fantastic value. Great aesthetic.
